- In this video we will see how to make Soan Papdi recipe in tamil. This soan papdi is very famous in roadside petti kadais. This white soan papdi is very fluffy and airy compared to the yellow/ dense soan papdi. This soan papdi is usually stored in glass jars and it reminds me of the old days when vendors used to bring this soan papdi in the streets. Once made, the soan papdi will absorb moisture from the air, so store it in an air tight container.

Ingredients:
1/2 cup Pottu Kadalai
1/2 cup Maida
1/2 tsp Cardamom powder
3 tbsp Ghee
1 cup Sugar
1/3 cup Water
10 drops of Lemon juice
Ghee for greasing

Hi Steffi, first time I am seeing how to make soan papdi... When I was a little girl I used buy it for Rs.2/- the person who is selling it will give little soan papdi wrapped in a paper. Till date I don't know how to make it... Today the mystery 😁😁 is solved and I like it very much 😊
