Thanx for adding that last pic and update. Seeing her so sad waiting for adoption almost broke me😢. Fostering any animal or person is incredibly honorable and rewarding. God bless you and your family. Can’t wait to see the next foster fur baby. 🥰
Rip rugs, and a tip if you will ever have a dog, there are a kind of mini white rugs where you can teach your dog to pee or poo, idk what's the name in English or if people know this and I'm just dumb, bit yeah
Maybe consider fostering a cat? Some people are only allergic to one or the other. Plus, if you get them as kittens a lot of times, you can adjust to that specific cat’s dander by the time they grow up. It depends how bad an allergy you have though. I’ve got allergies, but they’ve got less severe the longer I’m around animals everyday. 🤷🏼♀️
We worked with Korean K9 Rescue who rescues hundreds of dogs each year from meat farms, puppy mills, and slaughterhouses. Check them out if you’re considering fostering or adopting!
Yesss! I work with Never Alone Animal Rescue international and have been specifically fostering Korean meat farm dogs. I adopted from them as well, and the things those sweet pups had to face was heartbreaking. Thank y’all!!
Korean K9 Rescue are pretty hit or miss. I had a bad experience fostering with them a couple times and have heard several horror stories. You have to foster 5 dogs before they’ll consider you for adoption, or you could just apply to adopt through them with no experience - makes no sense and takes advantage of foster families. If you adopt, they make you buy food and supplements (like CBD oil 🤔) from them for the dog and you have to hire one of their trainers. Kinda scammy and very unappreciative of foster families, compared with other rescues I’ve worked with. Most importantly, looks like you took great care of the pup ❤
Same, but when you already have dogs and other pets and can't adopt you can be happy and sad at the same time from them finding a forever home, you helping but them leaving
That's the wrong way to think about it. When the dog finds it's forever home, that just opens your home up to another dog who needs a foster home. That's the whole concept of fostering - to keep a spot open in your home for those in need.
We have a maltese and love her so much. She's hypoallergenic and her poop is the size of Tootsie rolls 😅 she's 13, but hopefully she lasts a few more years.
Maltese dogs usually live closer to 17-18 and it’s uncommon, but 19. I had to do a science research project on dogs and chose Maltese because I had a Maltese dog at home. Since Maltese dogs are very small naturally and some toy breeds even smaller, can live so long due to the fact that their heart can keep up with their body as they age, rather then big dogs like a retriever who dont like as long because as they age their heart gets weaker and cant keep up with a retriever’s entire body.
@@Justaweeb1712I clean my Maltese eyes 2x a day. No crustiness in our house. I've noticed the crustiness being an issue with a lot of small white breeds. It starts to stink if you don't clean it so yuck.
Honestly I couldn't do fostering. I thought about it in the past but after finding a lost kitten that I cared for for a few days before she went home to her owners I felt so sad and attached that I came home and bawled. 😅

My wife and I have been fostering dogs for 2 years now. We've had over 10 dogs make themselves a part of our family before finding their forever homes where they will be loved and cared for. This hit me right in the feels.
I'm grateful to whoever fostered my cat bc that early exp was crucial for her development long term. Way better than shelter life for sure. Thank You Fosters! ❤🙏
i fostered a dog!! his name was chewy and he was SO STINKIN CUTE!! he was a corgi chihuahua mix and i hope he went to a home that gives him so much space to run around and play and also cuddles
Exactly. It's why I recommend it. It's a free dog with support from the rescue while you help the dog get used to living in a home before they find their forever home
Fostering dogs was always something I loved doing with my family. And on multiple occasions my friends family’s adopted the dogs so I’d get to see them after their time with us.
I also got both my pups from a Korean shelter! The shelter I went through primarily houses korean meat farm dogs and 90% of them are Jindos :( it’s sad the trauma pups have gone through but at least we’re here to keep them safe
"Becomes Spy" my favorite phase 😂 (btw im a new sub and i love your insight and channel...Hilarious and real talk. Thank you, appreciate your content :) )
That's SO sweet! I wish I had de means to foster some puppies and cats but my housing situation isn't the best to more animals (I already rescued 3 cats and 3 dogs so there's no more space) but they deserve as much love as you can possibly give them. Adopt, don't shop!
Consistency is the most important thing in raising and owning a dog, when your dog doesnt listen to you and is agressive to you that means you are not consistent and should not own any pet unless you can take care of yourself and be consistent
We fostered once! An old (~10 years) half blind and deaf chihuahua mutt. At first, he was just a ball of anxiety that attached to my mom and would bark at and sometimes try to bite other people that came near. After a few weeks, though, he learned that none of us were going to hurt him and just wanted to give him love, and when he realized that, he became the sweetest old man! At first he was also wary of babies (never aggressive), but once my mom had my first baby sister he loved the mini-humans, and still gets excited when he sees babies or little kids on walks! We fostered him because the shelter he was at was running out of room, but after we'd had him for a few months without any updates if anyone was interested in adopting him, we found that they had literally forgotten he was one of their dogs. When they offered, we immediately adopted him! He's a happy old man still full of energy, about 14 or 15, and now he's got a big dog friend (she's a whole other story) who plays gentle with him
i recently lost my dog that i've had half of my life, and i've been thinking of fostering and volunteering to help other dogs have a happy life. this is super cute, though i don't know if i'm ready for the emptiness afterwards just yet!
oh i was fostering a cat for 3 months, i got so attached i literally wept when it was time to part ways 💔 unfortunately one of my kittens couldn’t get used to her and kept growling so it wasn’t meant to be. but she’s happy and loved in her forever home so it’s all good.

If you ever plan on fostering or adopting again I would suggest a hypoallergenic pet so they don't affect your allergies that much :)
