Sir, is it correct to use equivalent static method instead of modal response method while etabs uses modal response analysis method? How to go with modal response method in finding seismic variables? I am confused, can you help me out Sir?

when checked, the frequency for 10, 11, 12 mode is in the range of 150s which is greater than 33hz. in this scenario what does this means and how to mitigate this situation. expecting your positive review sir. thanks

Thanks ! I want to model staircase slab in a commercial building model rather than applying the load directly to the beams. But then one edge of my landing slab gets fixed at the column and the other edge remains free. In that case , all the load from staircase would end up in the column attached. But I want to transfer the load to the beam beneath the landing slab (which is what happens in site, I Guess). So how can I do that with / without giving a landing beam.
I have one problem with my building. The ratio of max drift by average drift is greater than 1.2 although all the drift; displacement; model participating mass ratio' frame members eccentricity check' max by min disp. are passed. It is 4 storey residential building and cant introduce shear wall. I tried with the rectangular column as well....... What could be the solution? Could you please share some ideas?
That's really tight situation. Try changing orientation of staircase.

Column Beam capacity ratio मा beam को rebar को role हुन्छ कि हुँदैन ?? यदि हुन्छ भने CB ratio निकाल्न किन beam rebar input गरिँदैन ?? Plz clearify .... Designer here in Dhangadhi use CB ratio setting the column option Column to be designed 😢😢. I doubt about beam rebar role.
In simple terms, we are trying to make beam weaker. If we don’t consider the reinforcement in beam to compute CB ratio, then we will be in critical side.
To check CB, provide reinforcement calculated and select reinforcement to be checked option.

What about rayleigh method for calculating period becouse we have to take lesser between emperical and rayleigh
Yah consider taking lesser value. I opted for the empirical method here because for residential buildings the value dependent on the time period from the curve is the same until 2.25 sec (min). However, the value of K will be different for either method but as it ranges between 1-2 so won't make a major changes in result.

No need to use shear modifier of 0.4. The factor 0.4 approximately comes from 1/(2(1+nu)), with nu being Poisson ratio.

@@civilconst You don't need to reduce the shear stiffness of the beam for cracked section assumption. It is automatically reduced.
@@pranischal So while defining frame sections, shear modifiers should be left as 1. Any reference for this assumption sir?
