A few years ago I stayed on Koh Lipe and had Pattaya Beach completely to myself, not a single person. I went snorkeling and saw a sea snake, eel, and many fish. It was amazing!
And did not get bit by poison wildlife

I am watching this as I plan a chirstmas vacation to.... Thailand! Koh Lipe is so wonderful, small, sometimes a little crowded, buy you always feel like you are a million miles (I mean kilometers) away from the world. For the price of 1 week in the maldives you could stay here for a month! The 2016p playback quality is fantastic!

Koh Lipe along with Koh Phi Phi are my favourite Thai islands that I have visited
Not bad...but too plastic..and hot water...personally I prefer Greece,Italy etc...fresh water and less garbage

I am working of getting my retired visa and sell my house and everything i own here in Canada to move to this beautiful country that i visited last March for 6 weeks,and i can't get it out of my head,if everything's fine,i'll be there next year for the rest of my life!! Was just here a week ago, truly a beautiful place! It was hot hot hot though, so be prepared for that. Walking Street is more fun in the evening, day time is just too hot and dodging moto taxis. Plus you want to enjoy the water, definitely some of the clearest water I've ever seen. We plan to return and hopefully what we learned this time around will make our next experience even better!

We went in 1995 when it was still occupied by the sea gypsies. We were the only two tourists there, and I think about 30 locals. We had to take our own beer from Langkawi!
