it's legitimately pretty cool to see these previously killed-off wifi features available again, even if unofficially. really shows the dedication fan communities can have sometimes. sure, looking back, some aspects aged really bad (hello, random pausing for sync, i will never forget or forgive you, even if you were a necessary setback), but all in all, the online features were really cool back then, and were (debatably) more feature-packed* and cooler^ than newer games. it's fun seeing this stuff for the first time myself and seeing your nostalgia over these warms me up a little bit inside, knowing that you could relieve these experiences now, even if they, like i said, aged real bad in some aspects. it's just nice, that's all. * and ^ - don't quote me on any of these, i don't really remember using online a lot outside of the gts for pokedex completion in ultra moon.
thanks so much for this - so interesting! being able to play in the Battle Frontier with your friends online is just so dam cool. Fingers crossed BDSP delivers even a fraction of what im seeing in this vid
i think the description for the wynauts meant that if you line up the air bubbles during the moment that the wynauts with the bigger springs jump on that hole, you'll be able to send more air if you line up the ones with the thin springs, then you'll send less air
I remember reading somewhere that there's a secret mode that allows you to play the regular game alongside someone on the same map, but I can't find any evidence to suggest that it exists anymore. Anyone know anything? What I remember is that it was something that involved specific answers to interview questions, and that's about it.

It was a few years ago, and I distinctly remember several sources being readily available upon a simple google search but now when I look I get nothing, like it was erased from existence or something. Spooky.
Not sure what you mean by "local Wi-Fi", but it's not too bad to set up -- it's mainly just editing some DNS settings in the DS's Wi-Fi menu. When I was testing this on a real DS, I had to tether it to my phone, but beyond that it was pretty simple to do.
