Waiting for my new shock to arrive, and was considering installing it myself. Will definitely be doing it now. Great video.

Just followed this to change on my 2013 explorer. Did you have any issues getting the 90mm pin through the new lower mounting bracket. Seams very tight did you have to hit it through

@@zaphod01269 all done in two and a half hours. The only issue I had was a) fitting the top shock bolt in before I'd got the drag link in the right place, and b) refitting the link pipe due to the seal getting a bit out of shape. I'm really glad I watched the video, I'd have been scratching my head as to how to get that little cannister out without taking out the battery. 👍

Hi! Your video inspired me to try and replace the shock myself. Thanks! What is the torque to tighten the nuts back on?

    Hi
    Nice video
How did you calculate the spring rate? I'm having a similar problem when im 2 up touring but as mine is an xca I want to keep the semi active been told no dramas gettin a new spring fitted and was guessing I want an extra 30k of capacity in the spring as the factory is ok with 2 but luggage kills it.
Any advice would be much appreciated.

Are you running the stock front seat? I have a 2019 with the "comfort" seat and my backside is not happy. Any suggestions? Thank you.

So you say the bearings and seals were difficult to remove? Did you require some kind of puller? Any tricks?

I haven’t tried it yet as I’m in Wales and locked down but I am sure that by having free greased bearings it’s bound to make a difference. I’ll do a follow up post when I’m allowed out to play.

Hi. I'm ordering a Hagon unit. Do you think the one with the hydraulic adjuster is worth buying rather than the one that requires the tool to adjust preload? Secondly, does it give your bike a noticably more comfortable ride than the stock unit? Thanks
