    San Antonio basically had the Raiders. They let Las Vegas come in with the new stadium. Nobody is coming to San Antonio to to play in a stadium worse than the one they are trying to get away from.

      Weren't they willing to build a new stadium when courting the Raiders? I know this is old but I swear I remember someone saying a new stadium wouldn't be an issue

    I think San Antonio needs to keep an eye out on the Charger situation, there is an internal family feud that might force the sale of the team and they are not wanted in LA, most people still view them as San Diego. While I think that they should go back to SD, San Antonio would be a great option under a new ownership with a complete rebrand where the team name and logo would be more specific to San Antonio. The Charger name, colors, and history would go back to San Diego.

    Build the stadium in New Braunfels and the combined San Antonio Austin region is more than capable of supporting a team.
    Team Name: Texas Outlaws
    Edit: I'm convinced now that the AT&T center has failed as an arena. It has done absolutely nothing to the east side. I don't want any more money spent on the arena. It's time for San Antonio to invest in a new arena downtown to keep the spurs here for the next 30 years.

      That’s the future i think. San Antonio and Austin will eventually be like Dallas-Fort Worth, a massive and cutting edge mega-metropolis, with New Braunfels and San Marcos as main midpoints connecting us. Maybe even our airport & sport stadiums will be relocated there. It’s exciting to think about, decades from now, i think it’s gonna happen.

      I live in New Braunfles and to be honest its not a good idea, what we have here more is real football and baseball, real football would make a bit of sense there could be a youth team created by select and ajax players, as for baseball the little league all stars could work. Although we have that, having 4 real football teams in texas is a bad idea, MLS has no competition compared to Liga MX so it would attract more, but it would end in tragedy as for baseball we have a whole lot of astros fans here so them converting would be near impossible. We have a good foundation but no good structure, moral of the topic new Braunfles aint ready to have anything.

    As much as I would want to see the Brahmas have all sorts of success in the relaunched XFL, I would honestly love to see the NFL bring a franchise to San Antonio. I don’t care if it’s via relocation or expansion. I know for a fact that the city is diehard ready for an NFL franchise and has the market to do so. I’ve even got a few name ideas that would be perfect for their identity. Hopefully if the NFL smart, they will jump on this sooner or later.

    • @WMFilms25

      Thoughts?

    Bro if we get an NFL team in san antonio, the team name should definitely be based on the alamo because of the alamo dome and the history. Also every fan before kickoff in the stadium should shout "REMEMBER THE ALAMO" as an omage to the battle of the alamo. It would make it seem as another battle is about to take place, and it is technically

    Major pro sports ain't coming to San Antonio. It's a secondary US market. You can pull out all the stats for San Antonio, but it worth a hill of beans to convince pro leagues to place a team there. Lucky the Spurs don't leave for Seattle in the next few years

  • @happysavy9296
    @happysavy9296 ปีที่แล้ว

    Greg Simmons comments of saying he does not know why the hockey team left when they were averging 7000 people in attendance and that SA was not the worse in attendance. You can tell Greg has been there a long time and not to see it. SA is the 7th largest City in the US and with almost 1.5 million people you would think a Franchise Owner would get way more in attenedance no matter what sport it is. And as an owner you are there to make profit. San Antonio is loyal to 2 Teams. The Spurs and Dallas Cowboys. The new soccer Team and UTSA are doing well now so that is a step in the right direction. I used to live in SA and love it but that is how it is down there.

    As much as I would love to see more pro sports here in SA, I hate to say that stories like this give San Antonians false hope. The reality is that San Antonio's unique culture as a city just doesn't translate to a market that is on the level of Dallas, Houston, or even Austin. All three of those cities are all about the individual. We're all about the family. How many SA families would honestly break their tradition of watching Cowboys games after Sunday Morning Mass, just for the new team in town?
