- Magma Arizona Railroad #7 pulling tank cars from Rusk, Tx to Palestine, Tx picking up some tank cars at Mewshaw. And finally making it to Palestine. On the trip from Palestine, Tx MARR #7 pulls a total of 15 cars back to Rusk, Tx.
I really miss her 3 chime whistle with the rounded top I hope they still have that whistle and there going to remount it on her at some point

These are probably empty. If they were full I doubt #7 would pull these.
Chances are they were empty. I'm just saying it looks cool because #7 isn't that big.
@@PereMarquette1223 Actually she would pull them full depending on the ruling grade of the line. 7 has about 34,000 lbs of Tractive Effort. The Davis formula suggests she would handle them with ease on the level, but obviously no railroad is completely level. Given the weight of a loaded tanker being about 260,000 lbs, and estimating on the high side for rolling resistance to be 5 lbs per ton for warm roller bearings under that kind of weight, rolling resistance would be about 650 lbs per car. She'd be ok on anything up to about a 5/8% grade if my math is correct.

The music is a distraction. Locomotives make their own music.
Thats cool. Was there a particular reason it was pulling the tank cars or was it just a photo freight type of thing?
