They did a lot of things wrong with the Gen2 2025r in my opinion.
They made the loader mounts on the tractor 3 inches shorter.
They mounted the 3 point draft links 3 inches lower on the frame and used longer lift links to reach the rockshaft arms.
This means the loader or 3 point can't lift any higher really.
The 1025R is 47 inches with with 12 inch wide tires. The 2025R is 48 inches wide with 12.5" wide tires so the extra width is not from the machine itself. Neither is wide enough stock to be safe.
They turn up the hydraulic pressure so it can lift more than a 1R but that's just a turn of a screw to fix.
I do wish I had the big tires for the ride but i just couldn't see the value in the rest of it.

I do like the larger tires, but there’s really nothing I can do with this tractor that I couldn’t do with the other

Nice video. I have a 2021 1025r TLB. I have put 720 hours on it to this point. I love it. I am going to get a second tractor to offset some of the hours on my current tractor and I have the JD2025r in mind. I thought about the 2032r but now that you mentioned the price difference there is no way I can afford that. My intention is to be able to interchange attachments and implements with both machines except I will keep the 1025r as a TLB full time and the 2025r will have a full time 3 point hitch. I am glad you mentioned that the 1025r is a better choice for the backhoe though. Thanks for the info.

Bolt on some pads or extensions to the backhoe stabilizer arm pads to get more height. If you finish with a rubber pad, it will also reduce damage to asphalt and concrete if you have to dig from either

Funny you mention that. I have been looking at pads. I did a job the other day, and it would’ve been much easier if I could put the stabilizers down on the asphalt but it’s a new driveway so I didn’t dare maybe I’ll figure out a way to add extra to them to. Great idea thank you.

I have seen someone use wood. A couple of pieces of 2x6 or 2x8 what ever fits in those stabilizer pads. Stacked for thickness and dressed with old truck / car tire for the rubber.

You said you had looked at a 2032 because you needed a little more pto power. You can put a turbo on it from Hydrosplus and get 10 more pto horse power. I have one on my 2025R and it made a lot of difference.

The plan right now is to add the turbo the Hydro plus upgraded pump, the bigger backhoe cylinder, and the bigger front lift cylinders. That should give me pretty much everything that 2032 can do.

I@@MightyLittleGreenMachine I have all the above mentioned except the front cylinders. If you are going with the upgraded pump you should get the cooler also. Mine was very hot in the summer until I put the cooler on it. World of difference.

I will never understand the cult following of the green tractor, they are overpriced and appear cheaply constructed. They LOVE them some PLASTIC ! But too each their own. I love my mahindra 1626 t.l.b.

To be honest, I probably would not buy another one. They are certainly overpriced. I do love my tractor, but I would look at a different brand if I was going to buy it again I could get more horsepower and more tractor for less money.
