I just bought a 2023 2025R with the loader, 60D, and 260B backhoe. I upgraded to the 3rd function for the joystick so I could option up to independent hydraulic lift for the mower deck. I wanted to free up the 3 point for other uses while mowing. There is aftermarket push button hood latches available to fix the needing a key or whatever to open the hood. I also like the 3 point lever stop upgrade available online, it's a piece made to go between the washer and console to reinforce it and keep it from deforming the plastic. Those tractors are very handy. I like mine so far and I have had it less than a week.

I’m looking at the same setup. Curious how much it was and would you change anything?

The 3rd function valve doesn't hold the deck up very well. The valve doesn't have check valves like the loader valve does and leaks down constantly. I was told that they were all this way, I expected better than that on a $35k setup. That's a rough number for the Tractor with the 3rd function on the joystick added and set up for hydraulic deck lift, loader with the line kit for a grapple added on, backhoe, 60D deck with load and go brackets set up, and Frontier pallet forks with the backrest. Things I would change, I was trying to keep my payment to a certain number so I didn't get the iMatch hitch, rimguard (beet juice) in the back tires (which I did later, I had my tire guys do it instead of the dealer, its a requirement for doing loader work with the backhoe off. I'm building my own weight bracket for the 3 point), I would also recommend getting the rear cast weights and suitcase weights for the front when the loader is off. Deere's wheel weights don't stack on this size but I believe somebody has aftermarket ones that do and it allows you to run 2 sets instead of 1. (Those are on my wish list as well, I have other tractor weights laying around for the front. Making a bracket for the front to carry up to 4 47kg (100ish #) JD 50 series weights is on my to do list as I plan on doing some work without the loader on, I'd also recommend the guard kit for the lights on the ROPS to protect them if you get around brush or limbs. It is required if you want the Deere rear work light kit (which is also on my wish list unless I make my own). I have other tractors around the farm and got the 2025R for little jobs and to get into our old barn to clean cattle pens. We have put 56 hours on so far and I am pretty satisfied with it. If my budget would have allowed I would liked to have a 2038Ror even the 3033R or 3039R although the 3 series would be really tight where we go with the 2025R. I also preferred to stay away from the emission garb on the other models.

Nice tractor, been thinking of buying one myself. I'd be a little worried about a rubber hose on the exhaust pipe. If it should start a fire, all the plastic on modern tractors makes fire much harder to put out.🙂

Thanks for the concern and comment. It is a hose for turbo and intercooler applications so it's good. No signs of deformation and I can still slide it off and on.

enjoyed your video! Jealous as I so want a 2025r. Curious, have you used an auguer attachment?

    • @turnertruckandtractor
      @turnertruckandtractor  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

I have not used an auguer attachment on it yet. Our soil is so rocky that post hole auguers are not effective and no grains are grown here for grain auguers either.

@@dave434 I think so. Just make sure you see "gen 1" (stands for generation 1), and not the "gen 2" in the description. Below is some useful comparison information that I copied years ago from some guy.

Here are a few things that were missed regarding capability between the 2013-2016 2025R (GEN 1) and the 2017-Present 2025R (GEN 2), it would appear that JD is moving the 2025R closer to the 1 series:
      ENGINE:
      GEN 1 Yanmar 3TNV76 = 24.2 hp, PTO 18 hp
      GEN 2 Yanmar 3TNV80F = 23.9 hp PTO 18 hp
      LOADER:
      Lift Height:
      Gen1 H130-78.9° at pivot Gen2: 120R-72" at pivot
      Lift Capacity:
      GEN 1: H130: 1023 lbs
      GEN 2: 120R: 754 lbs
      Breakout Force (at pin):
      GEN 1: H130: 2508 lbs
      GEN 2: 120R: 1823 lbs
      BRAKES:
      GEN 1: Dual Rear Brakes
      GEN 2: Single Rear Brake
      PTO HORSEPOWER 3 PT HITCH:
GEN 1: has larger pins connecting the draft arms to the tractor frame
GEN 2: has pins which are smaller than Cat1 Implement pins, connecting the draft arms to the tractor frame
GEN 1: has adjustable draft arm lift. 3 different holes on draft arms and 3 different holes on lift links to adjust lift height and lift capacity
GEN 2. has fixed relationship between lift links and draft arms
GEN 1: stabilizers pull the draft arms together
GEN 2: stabilizers pull the draft arms apart
GEN 1: has greater lift height
GEN 1: Rear Lift (at ends): 1433 lbs
GEN 2: Rear Lift (at ends) 1234 lbs
      GEN 1: Rear Lift at 24" = 1150 lbs.
GEN 2: Rear Lift at 24" 882 lbs
      TURNING RADIUS:
GEN 17.7 ft, 6.7 ft w/ Brakes has tighter turning radius than GEN 2 without brakes.
      FRONT AXLE LOAD:
      GEN 1: 1940 lbs
      GEN 2: 1349 lbs
      FRAME:
GEN 1: has a heavier frame and the GEN 2.

@@ruslankadylak2999 THANK You, For this reply, Really Appreciate it of you! I copied this , So I can go back to it, When I go look at the tractor. The guy said they used it mainly for mowing 4--5ac it has 132hr. on it and was service at the 100 hr . The hood is beat up on it where the owner dropped a tool box out of the bucket on it. other then that He says it ready to go., Just trying to decide between it and a 2017 1025r of a friend of mines , EC Low hrs asking 16K the2014, 2025r 16250.00

@@dave434 You're welcome. You should choose a tractor based on your intended usage. If you want to move some dirt, you need a heavier tractor. Though JD 1025R is quite impressive for its size, Gen1 JD 2025R is heavier, with bigger tires, bigger clearance, more capable H130 FEL (front end loader), so it will perform better. If you want a tractor just for mowing - either one will do the work.
Also, don't buy a tractor without FEL - it's next to impossible to find a used one later. You will end up buying a new one in the dealership.
Forgot to add. If you plan on upgrading hydraulic pump with HydroPlus guys later, they *don't* have a pump for 2025R gen1. Original pump is Ok, but some attachments (backhoe for example) wouldn't mind a little bit higher flow.
      Good luck with your purchase.

@@dave434 Speaking of attachments. The guy I quoted didn't say anything about the backhoe. JD 2025R Gen1 has more capable 270A (or B) backhoe model, comparing to the 260A (or B) on Gen2, same as on 1025R. Gen1 is stronger, and digs one foot deeper.
