I did M school in 2021 with last-gen M cars, 10/10 would recommend. Would be fun to do it again with this current crop of M cars. There are genuinely some rocketships in their lineup now. You spend most of the day in the M2, but even that is quicker than the last-gen M4
@@ogmechsftw The point is that its sad that such cars arent produced anymore. Eventually they will all be gone forever and or at least totally unnaffordable for the vast majority of people.
@@donstaramos new blackwing has an even bigger screen and gm quality. the blackwings are great cars but their quality hasn't really improved... meanwhile bmws are doing better in all aspects. reliability can be argued i guess, but the 2 series interior quality now vs before is much better, price point is decent, powertrain is crazy (this is literally a shorter wheelbase m4). if you only care about the screen you're going to be real mad in the next couple of months when you see everyone has them.
I really want an M2 but I can't believe it has a 13.7 gallon gas tank. It's heavier and more gas guzzling than before. That may be a deal breaker for me because I like to go on car rallys with friends. Will have to fill up every 200 miles.
Stop sucking to BMW (lol). That clunky shifter and delays specially from 3rd to 4th is killing me. Torque Converters are meant for road cars not for track cars. Bring back the DCT!
How can he rate it as a track car, that was just a joy-ride. Summer sunset go around. Braking to early and too little, missing apex, accelerating too hard and too early while still in the corner. My first thought was he has been istructed to go easy, but those powerslides at the exits look like poor driving skills to me...
That has to be the worst track drive I’ve ever seen. Two cars that do not belong near a track IMO😂 That 5 series was flopping around like a fish out of water 😂
@@madpistolthese are two overweight cars trying to do things they were not designed to do. The M2 weighs nearly as much as that 5 series. How about an M3? A car designed for the track, purpose built. Not a luxury car a sports car

Why BMW, whyyyyyyyyyyyy
He must have been having a blast. Perfect car for this course!
Nice sounds. The M5 walks away out of the corners
M5 is a boat
keep up the good work with your videos it they feel immersive I like it you got my sub &This is my dream car and I know you had fun driving the m2 🎉🎉
It's beautiful in my eyes 😍
love the track vids! If only modern cars werent so insulated and safe. feels like im watching someone drive in a video game.
buy an old car then?

Again car is fun, but i cannot stand the dash gauge setup. Worst gauge cluster configuration i have ever seen.
try it in person it’s much better than you think
@@unexpiredbleach9236 it’s not. It’s ass. Black wing has a proper modern gauge cluster

Would you take this over a used m4?
An option for analog gauges would be nice. I would pay more to have them.
Yes!!!
Weight does let it down though.
Imo, still a cool car nonetheless. I wouldn't expect a car like that to be the best performing, still looks fun to drive.
I have the ‘21 6MT. Lighter than the comps but yes, it’s still significantly heavy compared to the previous generations

Yeah, basically the same as RWD M3. Xdrive is about 175 lbs more.
Alot of these in my country
Which country?

Please compare the wheel input to the older models, I feel like the newer the car the less input we get.
What's up Chris from TheTopher? This is Maple, from VolvoSaabFanatic245. Keep up the good work on becoming a race car driver.

man hac the climate control screen on the whole time lmao
Let's see the 2024 hyundai sonata n line
