Thank you for watching, Kevin, happy you liked it! Yes, a lot of work goes into these videos, but I'm still doing it for fun and enjoying the whole process. Let's see how long that lasts me :)
I have test driven the auto and manual and I actually found them both underwhelming. The turbo lag is huge and then when it gets on boost it's still not push you in the seat insane... Would need a tune for that. It felt slow off the line to me... BTW: I'm comparing this to my 2018 supercharged Mustang GT which has a lot more of off idle punch. The suspension in the M2 is super stiff even in the comfort mode, but the car handles like a go cart even while bouncing around minor imperfections in the road. (and yes you do feel all of the road imperfections). It's true that this car has very little feel through the steering wheel but you can still plant it hard though corners and the car grips like glue. The brakes are insane and the over all experience is good... I like it a lot. But for a daily driver I prefer my supercharged Magneride equipped Mustang with loads of low down toque and smoother ride. Yes the M2 is a way better track/race car but for an every day car it's just a little too much especially on crappy Australian roads.
Very good points there, thanks for sharing! I agree it did feel a bit sluggish off the line unless you always used launch control. To be honest, I didn’t find the turbo lag to be as bad as you say; i thought the engine was pretty responsive. I didn’t think the suspension was as uncomfortable as you say, but my daily is similarly stiff to this so maybe my perception is warped.
So it has not enough but then it's too much blah blah blah, you're a V8 guy, and a S/C guy - come on...dont knock what you can't afford bro - be honest, which car wins when you drop the fucken clutch or boot the Launch control.
@@BrzBoyz831 not quite. An M2 (g80) is faster than a Supra GR . It’s also nicer and has an updated infotainment . The m2 I want is $65,000. My Supra cost me $60,000
@@Nick-hz2kl ahh I see , isn’t Supra is lighter? The new m2 is a heavy car from what I heard, so I would have thought a Supra p/w ratios would be better than the m2. I know the m2 had more power for sure.
BMW lost its way when its solution to every problem became more boost. It’s now the choice of all the WRX owners who got real jobs, but kept the vape pen.
@@Japplesnap everyone’s saying cars these days are getting worse, at the same time they’re getting faster. Incredible video. Thank you! I know how much effort a video like this can take so your effort does not go unnoticed. The M2 is fantastic.

Very thorough review! Loved the sound capture of the engine/exhaust.
Thanks for watching! Happy you liked it! It was a lot of fun to shoot this :D
On point, mate. M2 FTW. Well done!
Cheers, thanks for watching!

You are a lot of fun to watch as you enjoy a great car!!!
Thanks for whatching! I REALLY enjoyed this car :D
Best modern car in production - better than all 911 but the GT3
Good point, although the M2 is far from perfect.
If I find myself driving in the mountains there’s a good chance I’m lost.
Keep driving and you'll find your way 😅
I want to trade my Supra for one
It's the logical step up, although you can also upgrade your Supra too...
@@OneTireFire I want the bmw because it’s nicer /faster
lol a Supra is basically a m2 bro 😂

Looks like you got it when they took out the carbon seats out of the carbon option. I feel sorry for you
You can’t order it with carbon seats anymore?

That's hilarious and true, although I prefer extra boost to adding batteries and electric motors and turning cars into hybrids...
@@OneTireFire 100% agreed!
Everyone's doing turbos these days. And that's fine with me because I love boost. And nope, I've never owned a Subaru.

You could have mentioned that the back seat can be folded down completely :)
It can and I should have. Thanks for your comment!
