    I respect that you have the rocks in the back ground blurred. Once people find your Legendary spot they fuck it up it’s happened to two of mine. Next spot I find I’m just going two buy the property around it maybe.

    I have fished near there in a boat but always respected the land based guys and never fished close in...it drops away to 40 Metres deep there before dropping to 70 metres about 200 metres off the rocks..

    Great vid boys what type of rig do you use

    • @gidosfishingadventures
      @gidosfishingadventures  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      In this one we were mostly using a soft plastic with a jig head about 2-4oz. Dane was using 80lb tasline and 170lb leader and I was using 50lb tasline and 80ln leader.
      When using bait we use a paternoster type rig.

    Hi guys great video, do you use pre drilled anchor points? How do you ascend. I'm a mad angler and ex tree climber, never climbed rocks before but climbed several 120ft trees

    • @gidosfishingadventures
      @gidosfishingadventures  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Lee, I use either a petzl gri gri for moving around on the rope and sometimes a petzl mini traxion to ascend. I use natural climbing protection. Mostly black diamond cams and nuts. You can see them places in the crack at the start of this video and you can see them placed at the end of this video m.th-cam.com/video/mVNdH2KUTJU/w-d-xo.html
      Cheers the the comment and sub 👍🏼

      Gido's Land Based Fishing Adventures thanks for the reply mate, being an arborist and tree climber we never use cams and nuts infact I'd never even heard of them. But with the aid of youtube I've just learnt a lot! Ascending those rocks must quite difficult even with a mechanical ascending device. We use a technique called foot locking. This would be hard given your often flat against the rock face. Climbings definitely the way to access those prime marks. I'm up in Qld I'm getting the itch to target those big groper. Do you have a FB page?

      Yeh mate it’s under the same name as my TH-cam account👍🏼. Yeh it’s hard work getting back up sometimes, I’ve been a rock climber for about a decade now so I just climb where I can and pull on the rope as I need.

    May i ask what is in the blue bag floating around in the water while trying to get the fish on land?

      In Australia it's called burley, in the US they call it chum. Fish frames, pellets, bread whatever. It's for getting the fish feeding.

    don't blur ya backgrounds mate.. I know full well why ya do it, but, I reckon it makes the videos look tacky..
    I get that some people might recognise the area but even less will put in the actual effort to get there mate..
    Just my 2 cents, love ya videos 🤙

      If I lived there and I recognised this place, I would definitely put all the effort in the world to go fishing these beasts, and I would bring my buddies too, and they would tell other guys.... and thats why he needs blurre the background
