I recently purchased a few long term investment cards through a private sale. What do you think of them? I got the Kobe Bryant Rookie Sensations PSA 10 (population of 36), Kobe Rookie Cyber Metal PSA 10 (pop 115), Kobe Rookie Gold foil Hoops PSA 10 (pop 99), and a Kobe Rookie Z-Force Zebut PSA 10 (pop 43). What do you think about these?
Any atomic is the way to go but hard to say no to a ruby. Wife is probably a little tired of me buying Kobe and mj 90’s cards due to the fact I have to buy the run base refractor and atomic.
I have number 2 on your but unfortunately I know next to nothing about cards. I was told it’s a platinum and a gold card. How do I tell which is which? Also I’m looking to sell it and I don’t wanna get beat
I met with family tonight for an early Christmas get together. I saw a cousin I hadn't seen in quite a while and he asked if i still collected sports cards. I told him no and he asked if I have any Kobe Bryant rookies. I new i did. At the time I was collecting Grant Hill cards. That year if I ran across an Iverson or Bryant I kept it, Iversons were much more in demand at the time. My cards were in boxes neatly arranged in a closet. I have 52 Kobe rookie cards. I do not have the finest in any form or chrome. I did manage to save 15 of the EX-2000's, a ton of UD's, several Ultras, even collectors choice. I just pulled up this video to see what I may potentially have. Glad I did.
By far the best one is the 1996-97 EX-2000! These are beautiful, and its become impossible to find unopened product so a real time pull is SCARCE. But above all, this is just a immaculately designed set. Baseball and Football are starting to disappear into PC's and these cards fly at shows. Wish I had bought more of these when I was a kid.
Big fan of Topps Finest and the Chrome, wish I had pulled or bought the refractor of the chrome version many moons ago. Hope KB will not be forgotten in the hobby, it still makes me smile to see his cards all these years. Thx for the video, keep up the nice work 👍
I'm so happy that I watched your video! I have both #21 and #15 Kobe Bryant cards. I bought them with a bunch of other basketball cards for $100 AU. Both are in very good condition!
Here is my timeline: In 2018 I bought the Topps Chrome rookie Bryant for $400 (it was graded 9 mint by PSA). I just sold it a few weeks ago (Oct. 2020) for $2,500. Just a couple days ago I bought the non-Chrome Bryant rookie in an 8.5 for $250.
I have a Topps Chrome Kobe Bryant Youthquake sitting on my kitchen table right now. I also have the Hardwood variant. Both cards I pulled from packs in 97, and they went straight into plastic cases. 97-98 was my last year collecting, as the pricing was going way out of control. so my collection mostly consists of Early 90's, then 96-98.
I have a 2000 Upper Deck Master Collection autographed (01/08) with a piece of game jersey. I have no clue what it worth, this is new to me. I’ve had it since 2000-01.
whoever bought these 6 months ago made out very well good lord that row 0 for under 2 grand is making me sick wish i would of bought that one back then but all these at the time were dirt cheap compared to where they are at now!!!
I got so many kobe cards but they have never been graded I started collecting them back in 95 the cards are still in my card binder so of the cards been in there so long they started to stick to the plastic. Probably just throw them away since they ain't never been graded

When I was in high school I sold the gold refractor rank # 3 on this list for 300. I was a kid ...what do I know. The shop person didn't even hesitate to give me 300 back then. My gut tells me I'll regret it in the future. I do. Smh

I think you should have done this list with more recent sales, the majority of the afformentioned sales where just days after his death. Just disrespectful imo.
Gettin 25 Kobe rookie cards graded this month. I assume they will all be 9s. Should I wait until next year to sell for the HOF induction? What is the price increase you see normally?
I love 90s inserts!! Been loading up on them myself...I think many of them still have significant upside still...will probably do a video just on 90s inserts if folks are interested in that!

Thanks for watching! The pops shown for each card are the the populations for that specific grade for that specific grading company (eg PSA). Population is the # of cards graded, not the number of cards produced.

But Zion hasn't contributed a championship, that's why if he doesn't do anything before he retires his cards will be worthless.
