Hey guys, I accidently clicked on the wrong card for the population reports for card #2. The Fleer E-X2000 is a pop of only 24 in a psa10 and 763 in a psa9. I also forget to include the pop reports for the #1 card: The Topps Chrome base rookie: Graded 6,127 times, pop of 833 in a psa10, 4,098 in a psa9 and 926 in a psa8
My dad was collecting Kobe Bryant cards back when he was in high school. That was when Kobe was a rookie. My dad has all of these except #9 #2 #1. I'm planning to feature my dads collection on my channel. Thanks so much for this video.
Can you imagine paying $49,200 for a card that less than a year later or around a year later, is selling for $20,000?? I mean I'm disgusted by the fact that I paid 500 bucks for a tops LeBron James flagship rookie, but there's a good chance I'll still be able to sell it for that much in at least 5 or 10 years, I don't think that guy's ever going to make up that $20,000 difference...
Great video I wish all your videos followed this format Raw Psa 9 then Psa 10 Few of us have or will ever have Psa 10 copies of these cards or any from your videos but many of us would pursue a Psa 9 or raw version This video is geared towards the majority of collectors Excellent work Would love to see a top 20 jordan base only card video
I appreciate all the feedback. I'm actually considering redoing my Michael Joran series sometime in the future. Want to redo every year and include longer lists, along with raw card sales as well. Thanks again for the feedback!
I watch this video a while ago but I thought I commented on it before there's one thing I really have noticed watching this. Kobe's cards took a big dip but today they're certainly rebounding and I certainly hope so because I have a couple of his rookies at PSA right now haha hope you're doing well and thank you so much for all the great content you make it helps a lot of us sports card collectors. Hopefully a lot of us don't make the same mistake a lot of other collectors did in February of 21 and over pay thanks to your videos it gives us a sense of what to expect when searching for some of these great rookies
I have a bunch of these cards, and MANY multiples of some of them. None are graded, but I'm thinking that I better send some in... I'm curious about other grading companies besides PSA too. It takes FOREVER to get them back from PSA.
My dad had a Kobe bryant rookie card when he was a kid, he knew what he had so he nailed it shut into a case. Long story short he claims it is in my grandparent attic somewhere and they claim he has it.
I’m new at this psa grading. I have some of these cards that you have that are in good condition that has never been touched in 20 years !!!! I need to sell them asap
Appreciate the information. What website would you recommend using? When going through binders of cards to check prices. When I was a kid I used a Beckett, but it seems old fashion now. Need advice. Thanks
I went to a local card shop in 1996 and I had a choice of buying either the topps finest base kobe or the topps chrome base kobe. I picked the wrong one. It was only $20 at the first week of the release of topps chrome retail. Not sure if they had hobby.
The #2 card 96 E-X2000 PSA10 has a pop of 24 the PSA 9 is like 768. This card is much rarer than the 96 Topps Chrome and is way undervalued imo. Other than that correction great video and look forward to your next one.
Thanks for the correction. I went back and watched #2 and I obviously clicked on the wrong card when getting the pop report. Also, I simple rank these by the highest sell found. The words "most valuable" is just a search term for TH-cam. You're spot on. If you're looking for the true most valuable card, I always tell people to go off of the highest average sale price and lowest pop report. Ranking by the highest sell is just a default way of putting these in order. Thanks again for the feedback and correction and I appreciate you watching!
I also updated a pinned comment at the top to update that pop report. Thanks again for the correction, as I usual am researching 4-5 videos at a time and am bound to make a mistake.
Thank you. Great video. Great editing and production. Does anybody know what the pop count is for “number one” in both PSA 9 & 10? The Topps chrome rookie?
Thanks Robin! I pinned a comment to the top that shows the Topps Chrome pop report. Also, I clicked on the wrong card for the pop report for card #2 I also updated it in that comment. Thanks for watching and the positive feedback 👍
I'm really on the fence on whether I think Kobe's cards will maintain value over the years, I think he'll be like Walt Frazier or any other extremely good, if not great, start from the past that is basically forgotten by everyone but the hardcore fans...
I think the nature of his death will keep him elevated in the same way we look at Roberto Clemente. He died years before I was born, but is a name I know. So that, combined with legendary work ethic will keep him near the top.
@@robw9852 yeah but Clemente was still playing and he was Puerto rican, one of the only and best Puerto Ricans to ever do it, so there's that ethnic aspect, I don't know, it will be interesting to see, this last year his death went by and there was barely a mention, his cards are on the decline as we speak, I don't think he will command the value in 10 years, I think he's a bad investment. But I could be wrong, I have been before :-)
@@guywilliams6569 Kobe will still be considered one of the top players. Honestly, and not saying it to be disrespectful of Clemente, but it's because of his death that I've heard of him. Kobe meant more to basketball than Clemente to baseball.
@@guywilliams6569 Lots of Kobes? Him and Jordan have legendary drive and work ethic to the point where it's almost mythic. Clemente isn't considered one of the top players. And there are a lot more PR players now than then.
Well the guy paid $56,000 for a car that’s going for 8800 now and they only paid 6000 I know it’s gonna go up in value great investment I also have a 1958 Jim Brown rookie card in a 7.5

I enjoyed hearing raw prices as well.

$50K to that guy might be like $500 to you, maybe even less... 😅
@A_Brion more than likely that's the case... but I'm mad when I pay $5 for a card and it drops...
Great video

That's true.
Happy collecting and/or dealing
Hey Steve! Enjoyed the Kobe Bryant top 15! Hope you had a great time at the Dallas card show!
Good job I enjoyed the raw copy prices. Thank you! I'll keep watching your show.

The only Kobe RC I own is the Fleer Ultra Rookie Encore Gold Medallion Edition. Beautiful card too
Sweet Kobe rookie 🔥

Hi, Bowman’s Best- Best Picks #BP10 is an insert. The card that should be shown at 9 is Bowman’s Best base RC #R23
🙂
When all of the record prices were being attained, I sold my really nice copy of number 138 for around 300 bucks raw...
The episode I been waiting for Steve! lol. Great stuff like always. Keep up the great content!
Thanks brother! I have an Allen Iverson one ready to release in the next few weeks 👍
@@tenclubcards hell yeah. AI. Please do it 👍🏾👍🏾

I think mine is in storage still in the pack maybe..?
You always keep me coming back..
Great vid brotha thank you for taking the time!
Thank you!
So my daughter has a Kobe Bryant Chrome tops rookie PSA graded number 8 what is the value of that??
That #1 Chrome card sold for 4.x million dollars on Goldin auctions, it was a perfect black label Beckett card.
I have all of these cards. All are not graded..
I have 2 #138...one is base and the other is Chrome with the 50th anniversary print on lower left side...both are raw.

Can I ask where do you get the pics of this ?
If you're referring to the pictures of the sale comps, I use vintagecardprices.com for my research. Hope this helps!
I got a lots of sport cards ( Basketball, Baseball, Football ) how can I get in touch Whitt people who grade the condition of my cards.??

What about the flair row 2
I sold my Topps and Upper Deck too early🤬

Definitely keep the raw card prices, since that's what most of us have anyway... Raw cards...
I had a feeling this would be a popular thing and I'm glad to hear the positive feedback
@@tenclubcards like I said, rock cards are what most of us have, it's nice to see the big cards but we'll never afford those..

Surprised the UD3 didn’t make the cut
I have the number 8 rookie card graded at 9 I want to sell but I think I'll wait for the price to go up
Wow who paid $10,000 for that PSA 10 Topps base Kobe card. That was too much. Price has gone down dramatically on that card.
Buy the dip not the hype 😊
Love it thank you
How much is a Kobe card no. 1 going for
I have number 3 right now
Mint
Could you do a Most Valuable for Kevin Garnett? Thanks.

Yes they did
Stimulus and unemployment money
I have a lot of those cards. Raw and good shape. Wish card shops still existed so I could get rid of this shit.
Awesome I have a number one baby just got it from a eBay auction really good price
I love my good judgment and decided to purchase this from an auction recently . Only had to pay 6 k for a Psa 10
96 Topps chrome rookie considered to be his best rookie
I won a 96 Topps chrome Kobe rookie PSA 10 for less than its valued
Well the guy paid $56,000 for a car that’s going for 8800 now and they only paid 6000 I know it’s gonna go up in value great investment I also have a 1958 Jim Brown rookie card in a 7.5
