@kojak5500 Since a little bit of an answer is better than no answer, an M5 is stronger than an M550i and has more small performance mods. An M5 is basically just a souped up version of the M550i.
BMW nomenclature is much easier and clean. This video along with Mercedes nomenclature are really helpful, I’m a car aficionado and I wanted to understand how Mercedes names the car, there was no video explaining that and voila! I found yours. Thank you very much! Please make more like these, say for Audi, Tesla, Lexus and more !

Please keep in mind that an M5 has nothing to do with an M550i. The M550i is an upgraded version of the 550i. The M5 is a from the ground up differently built car.

A coupe doesn't have to be a 2-door although they are usually perceived to be in public. There are multiple characteristics that can make for a coupe car; sloppy roofline (not a box shape at the rear), frame-less windows, and the 2-doors.

who else is mad that the word "coupe" has been corrupted to mean nothing these days ?(other than whatever a manufacturer insists it means) SO irritating and I for one REFUSE to accept ANY 4 door car as being a coupe...people DONT be sheep!
