I'd imagine forcing the roof open at 110mph would break something since its essentially a giant canvas sail at that point.
There may be some exceptions, particularly for certain diesel engines in non-US markets, but for most BMWs after 2006, you’ll use the electronic system to check the oil level @@sven679
BMW was not involved into the Dieselgate. They needet to pay a fine, because of an error in their software, but they didn’t manipulate their emissions data, or break any other Laws like VW did. Otherwise great Video!

3:47 my suspicion on why the BMW E46 is the Best selling BMW is due to the fact from a game relating to the BMW M3 GTR (Need For Speed Most Wanted⁰⁵and Carbon...)
#11 is wrong S70B56 used in 850csi and S70/2 used in McLaren F1 are two very different engines. S70/2 has 65% higher HP. "The S70/2, while sharing the same 12 cylinder layout, bore spacing and design principle as the S70B56, is essentially a new design with the heads featuring 4 valves per cylinder and variable valve timing and individual throttle bodies. A dry sump oiling system is used."
Fact 2 is incorrect. The SsangYong Actyon was actually a couple months earlier, which diapleased BMW no end. And you could argue that the 90's Aixam Mega Track was also an SUV Coupe. That being said, it takes a lot of effort to make these lists, so well done👍
I see Aixam’s a lot as they now build moped-cars (16 year olds can drive it and old people can drive them if they are too frail for cycling and too slow for the open road. So I always find it hilarious to see a picture of the Mega Track and know that that marque is the same as the moped-cars hahaha
Used to think the same, before I got my E36 320i Coupe. Drove that for 3 years and sold it. Currently been driving an E46 325i for 3 years as well, which I'm gonna sell and get an F10 535D in a few weeks. If you can dream it, you can achieve it!
It's interesting how u went from only mods off the week then too "car brand commercials" and now ur doing documentary stuff. Been here for a longer time, keep it going. Do what makes u happy but I gotta say I miss mods of the Week and it's sad that u deleted them but i understand the trouble u thru with that
Love it! Surprised you didn't say anything about the first turbo 335i that's the most super tunable engine (unless i missed it which i probably did) love the new series! Do mercedes next!
Other facts : - BMW M3 E36 was called Porsche killer because it was faster than the 911 back in the days - The 2002 Turbo sticker was printed backwards so the people on the autobahn could see what was following them when looking to the mirror
Even though I knew most of the facts, the video is still very good. Especially the fact about BMW emblem. And no I don't need therapy, cause my BMW is also my therapist.
Knowing 25 of this is a great achievement. I'm a true BMW fan BTW. Saw some cool old cars I ain't know about. How about You follow by 101 facts about merc and audi as well😊
Alpina is it’s own brand, much like RUF is with Porsche. They take their own suspension and running gear and use only the frame of the host car. (IIRC, it has been a while since I read about Alpina)
The fact that South Carolina, my current home, plays such a vital role in BMW's continued existence is not lost on me. To carry on with facts one might not know about that, South Carolina Highway Patrol has (or at least at one point had) a 7 Series as a gift from the local factory.
Just got my first Bimmer, 2009 381i x drive E90. Already blown away by the quality of life upgrades from my last car even for an old model. Hopefully I can repair it myself 😭

101 facts about an unreliable as f*ck car
101 facts about Volvo would be an interesting one. Maybe also one about a car company that we don’t get in North America, like Skoda or Tata motors
Skoda would be cool
puegeot/citroen/ds
Tata would be cool has some quirky cars and a rich history
The single fact you need to know about akoda: Its a VW that is cheaper made and cheaper sold. Thats all. Same as seat.
Tata motor sucksssss

I noticed more facts thats are not right
Multiple facts were wrong. The most obvious was the "dipstick". It takes less than 10 seconds to fact check it and deny it.
There may be some exceptions, particularly for certain diesel engines in non-US markets, but for most BMWs after 2006, you’ll use the electronic system to check the oil level @@sven679
yeah, maybe because i3 owners arent fleeing in that 💀
Literally what i thought
"BMW hasn't had dipsticks since 2006" is wrong. My 2010 E90 with M57 has a dipstick.
My 2015 N57 also has one.
same with my 07 550i
I was expecting him to say there will always be a dipstick in the drivers seat
My old 2012 116i had one too

There are multiple false facts in the video. It feels like there weren't any fact checking involved.

#3..whoa!! Nor look as distinct..Make round headlights great again.
335d kept the dip stick in the e90 era, its such a fancy and nice feature to have. Must've been breaking the bank for BMW to have dip sticks
Dipstick on 2015 model 435d too
3:47 my suspicion on why the BMW E46 is the Best selling BMW is due to the fact from a game relating to the BMW M3 GTR (Need For Speed Most Wanted⁰⁵and Carbon...)
Well the production of the e46 started in 1998 and the Need for speed came 2005 out. Can't be the reason.
Far from the sole reason, but could be a big one for its later years.
E46 and e39 are icons of bimmer world for a good reason.
I was anticipating a traditional kind of 101 facts video when I saw the title.
This however is different. and I Love it. Keep up the good work.
I really love the "101 facts about (brand)" series, very informative while also keeping me really entertained!
As a guy who works at BMW in Munich some of the facts are not true but its a nice Video overall
Which ones are false?
The 2003 Infiniti FX35 was the first SUV coupe not the BMW X6.
Exactly Number 10 is wrong, my 2013 bmw 6 series doesn’t have traditional hand break
#11 is wrong
