I used pre-cut 15% Lexen tint on my car windows and it came out great! No fingers or bubbles. This was 3 years ago, the tint still looks great and has not bubbled or changed colors.
for what car and how much was it? it shows 29.99 for pre cuts, i dont know if this is just the service to cut the tint, or the actual tint cut for my car.
Does yours have a sticky side? Mine has a sticky side and I wonder if I still need to use soap water, or if that is going to kill the adhesive. It seems almost impossible to dry fit it
You have to apply a ridiculous amount of solution imo. I tried to install precut today. It truly takes a ton of solution. My driver door ended up with a couple creases and those well known little bubbles that f'd it up
Hi cool vid looking for advise.i am havin air bubbles appear even though I am pressing quite hard to the film its only on the sides of a window middle top and bottom are fine just the sides
Before I buy this I just want to know like the dimentions that they come in like for example 20 "(inch) by 20 ft. Would that cover a whole window. No clue. Can anyone help me out
Not really trying to buy stuff from your website so maybe in the detailed Box you could leave a description of the solution you're using to clean the windows in what not would be appreciated
If you’re still interesting in trying it, try plastic bags with masking tape to protect your controls for peace of mind. That is what I will be doing when I give this a shot.
Did he stick the film ON TO the soapy water? Is that what you do? I'll be doing this myself soon and I really can't find a clear instructional ANYWHERE !!!!
roadrunnerblink I'll be doing it too, watched a few vids of tinting. You clean window first, get it dry then spray again, get it good and wet. Apply film. But I always thought you apply tint from outside.
sorry for year late comment but it seems you didn’t get any good feedback. Yes you are supposed to apply onto soapy water. The soapy water acts as a lubricant so you can slide the film to position it. Once you have it in position, using a squeegee will push all that air AND soapy water out from under the film leaving you with a vacuum, causing the film to be sucked onto the glass essentially.
Hello lexen I am having trouble installing this where can I get all the stuff you used to install this and do I have to place the tint on the outside of the window first?? I really need an explanation
You place the tint on the outside of the window with the release liner towards you to shrink the fingers out of the window tint to the curvature of the window you are working on. Then, peel the release liner back has he did then apply the tint with the adhesive side out to the inside of the window.
They are not pre shruk. You don't really need to heat shrink the side windows becuz they are flat. But u need to heat shrink back windshield becuz they r curved otherwise it will not fit properly.
@@DavidHernandez-ue4fz something like 3% and it depends on the weather. like if you live in high humidity or heat, so adjust more or less soap for evaporation because too little and you can't move the film and it tacks to the glass before you have time to adjust. Too much soap and it affects the long term success of the adhesive of the film
My passenger window wont roll down changed the motor switched fuses changed the up and down switch and made sure it's on track nothing will that be an issue putting tints on ?
If you did all I would assume that their is an issue in the wiring to the motor/switch. I would have both tested to see if they're receiving power. As far as tinting I've never done it myself but I see no reason as to why you couldn't install it without rolling the window down but obviously you won't be able to cover the glass that is tucked into the weather stripping.

@@uptownsfinest1598 Yeah there's not much you can really do other than gaining experience on that I would imagine. I mean if it's only a couple of air bubbles you can take a razor blade and poke a hole and try to see if you can get them out but I'm not sure I'd recommend it.

Why so much water? A light spritz from a spray bottle is plenty. You might as well be trying to apply it with a running garden hose. All this video taught me was to make sure if I go to a shop that they don't do it this way.
What ever gets the job done right, that’s all I care about. Water dries, but I can understand why you are fast to say someone with skill is not up to your par. Makes you feel better about yourself. I’m sorry you feel this way.
El espacio arriba de el vidrio es muy grande...y la cantidad de agua es exagerada no explica que se necesita la pistola de calor para amoldar la película a lo convexo de los cristales...le falta para ser un trabajo profesional
this is why you dont let people work on your car....they spray water all over the interior, and all over electroics without the battery disconnected, stuff can short out it would take 3 min to put a plastic cover over the $80,000 car
Usually we just mist the glass. Some water won't hurt the interior, it's no different than opening your door while it's raining out which a lot of us do every year plenty of times.
Excellent job mate. All show no bs talk, just how I like it. To the point
