Very true for fighting games. This is why they went for the 2v2 in 2XKO lmao

That is true when I play chess I have nothing to blame except how bad the design of the game is , the fking horses are unbalanced

he's right to an extent but I think it works both ways, I know a lot of people who don't like playing as much explicitly due to the fact that they can be teamed up with bad people

Imo its the ranking system tbh. Like many people who considers themselves competitive cant really quit the game because they think they’re cowards or failures if they dont reach the high elo ranks

I think that's why Starcraft 2 died. All the onus and pressure to perform is on you and defeat is 100% the outcome determined by your skill.

i dont think so tbh. I still watch and play starcraft 2. its not really dead. blizzard is just bad in managing games for the last like 5 years.

What is August talking about? How often in Chess and SC do people blame a loss on cheese or a OP strat. No one ever blames themselves.

Yeah and with that mentality you will never get better at any 1v1 game.

You have to be garbage at chess to blame a loss on an “op strat” or anything besides yourself tbh

I can imagine a lot of people losing to a 12 pool all in and dropping the game lol

This sort of attitude is extremely negative for everything outside of comforting the ego.
And if your ego needs to be comforted in that way then imo pretty unlucky.

Every person ever wants to have their ego comforted. The reason you and i are even writing here is because we want to stroke our ego.

    • @TheGrindIsReal2023

@@AdogFTW obviously, but there comes a point where you're letting your ego get stroked at the expense of improving at the game.
Whether or not that's worth it for you depends

Remember there's a difference between successful and good.

league is both. people mistake anger towards the game for a negative attribute, but anger comes from investment.

dog take, u play SC2 and u blame cheese, u blame MM, u blame race balance. U allways find something to abstract the fault to, just look at the souls games, they are single player, yet it is not your fault for struggling.
