There’s a lot of hype and excitement around the new Bose NC 700’s but the Bose QC35 series 2 aren’t going anywhere. Actually the Bose QC35’s got a secret hardware refresh last fall so that they can support Bose AR just like the NC 700’s. Now personally I think Bose AR is still very much in its infancy as of summer 2019 and it's one of those features you play around with for 20 minutes and then forget about. But if you’re thinking about picking up a pair of Bose Headphones you maybe very well trying to decided picking between the alien looking NC 700’s or the tried and tested QC35’s. So here are the main differences between these two headphones.

Depends on the size of your head. The QC35 feel slightly too loose on my head, especially if you are doing household chores and having to bend down a lot, they feel like they are slipping off. The NC700 are slightly tighter and feel perfect. Maybe GC35 would be more comfortable for a long haul flight but I would rather use ear plugs as I couldn’t sleep with either of these headphones on.
qc 35 is definitely the superior choice, in terms of quality and fit. They are light, and having real buttons is important.
That's right, but the sound is bad. It is permanent, the sound is much better, but not nearly as comfortable. An absolute dilemma because, in principle, there are no headphones that are good in every area. So the Sony would need either the ear cups and the Comfort of the Bose qc35. Or the Bose qc35 would need the sound from Sony and also the app

With every pair of Bose 700 I have tried in the last few months I have felt a noticeable bass reduction above 80% volume which makes the headphones sound really anemic and worse than the previus model. Have you noticed this issue as well?
Hey Bose mess with the qc 35 ii in the latest firmware update so the 700 work better with the anc check out the Bose community where a good amount of people are having issue with the anc since the latest update. We believe they did this because the performance between the 700 and the qc35 ii were similar ao they need it to make the 700 look like they have better anc. Bose won't acknowledge that they did it, but some people have done the test and proof that the QC35 ii and is 4db difference.
Lets get to trial for that! thats ridiculous!

Not that far fetched of a concern. I mean look at Apple with their updates, tanking older iPhones to push people to buy new phones. It’s admitted, and not a conspiracy. What’s to say Bose didn’t do something similar here between the QC35 and 700? Sheesh. It’s not being like Alex Jones to think critically.

At the time of a test, the EU or the Bose music app for the Bose 700 headphones was not yet available or why did you not test it? Because for me that would be the main reason to buy the 700 instead of the qc35, because the 700 now have an equalizer. What can amplify the bass, or where you can raise the bass. And that they can then be better used for listening to music and, above all, for watching films.

I just enjoy those physical buttons on qs35 so much, I hate gesture control on almost all the latest headphones.

Bought the 700 and sold them. Cause the touch pad I hate and the ear ups were loose so they knocked. I bought the 35II. Physical buttons and no knocking. But the 700 had the better anc.
Everyone dropping the hate on the 700's, but is true that for the price, is not worthy
Most of the best NC Headphones in the market, for example my beloved Sonys XM3 ($350) they're just REGULAR Noice Cancelling Headphones. But, went we talk about the new Bose 700 we're talking about SMART Noise Canceling Headphones. So for me the price is well worth it. Bose 700 brings me to another level of very useful Noice Cancelling headphones.

For me this HEADPHONES, are Bellow in the sound quality department, and for most people, the thing that they want is a good pair of sounding headphones with good ANC performance, and I think that that's is why the M3 are still leading, because they cover those two things

Subscribed! those simulations are da shit! Frankly, I don't think neither deserves the jump from QC25; I see the difference in ANC is marginal. I rather keep a wired set with removable batteries. what do you think?
I prefer the sound quality on the QC 35s over the 700s in my opinion it sounds more natural.

Absolutely correct. The 700s lack bass and have way too much mid and treble. I just gave my qc 35s to my dad and got the 700s instead cus I just had to have the latest and greatest. The difference in sound quality is so big it makes me think the 700s were designed by a different sound engineering team. Something is just off.
Another reviewer said the 700s were louder than the 35s. The 35s weren’t quite loud enough for the music I have that is recorded at low volume levels. Plus I also read that Bose’s active EQ really messes up the music when the users gets close to full volume. Any insight or confirmation on this? Thanks.
I am using bose qc35ii from last one year. I have recently upgraded to bose 700.
The bass in 700s is almost negligible as compared to Bose QC 35ii .
I don’t know why any TH-camrs have not mentioned it in the review.

Love your reviews , but how is it that you have never reviewed the Sennheiser PXC550? They're 3 years old, but have had many of the features Sony & Bose took 3 years to achieve. Really keen to hear your thoughts on it, although I'm sure it won't be best ANC It's likely they'll get an update this year, so it would be a great way to prep for reviewing the new one. Keep up the great work.

I've got PXC550's - some good features but one major flaw - totally uncomfortable. My ears feel bruised after 15 minutes of use. I ordered QC35's today.
What is cabin pressure? Not à term we use in electronics..
If you’re an iPhone user the USB C port can still matter as more probable than not you have a MacBook or an iPad that uses USB C.
I own a QC35 ii and Surface headphones and the thing that makes me carry the surface headphones is the USB C. Micro USB is now outdated heavily.
Can you please make a comparison between 35 ii new and old firmware...the anc sucks now...with the new one

About the jbl flip 5 and the charge 4 not connecting I got them to connect if they were both pair to the same phone and the app recognizes both of them, they can connect

RTINGs already confirmed that it makes the Noise cancelling worse. By 4DB which is a lot as most headphones only block out 20-30db
Krishnakumar Absolutely not. As soon as I heard about this problem, I deleted the Bose app, I will not take any risk and I will never update my headphones

The most comfortable Wireless Headphone with memory foam and lighter is BOSE Soundlink AE2 wireless , also it sounds a litlte bit better than Bose q35 because of the none NC function.
QC 35 ii. They made the 700 way heavier and clunky.... In my opinion they put zero effort into the 700 and made them to try and outdo the Sony's! Which sucks. So I will upgrade next time around.
Or you can just upgrade to sony. Easy

I have both. Can't recommend the 700 at all. The switches are so sensitive and prone to accidentally touch, many times I take it out of the box only to see that the 700 was left inadvertely on and has a dead battery. Plus the 700 takes a long time to boot up. Incoming phone call, you have to be patient
It's 200€ for the qc and 400€ for the 700 in Europe, so the price difference is really huge.

Hard to believe Bose screwed up the 700's so much especially since they are $50 more. There should be no questions that this is ht one to get. I can't use the 35's because of the cabin pressure.
Screwed up? For many people 700's are more comfortable. Also, the cabin pressure prevents me from using any other headphones than 700's, so I dont even have a choice.
The Cabin Pressure is gone after let's say 3 hours of listening

Don't like the QCs because of the cabin pressure then don't like the 700s because of the horrid design and clamping force.

That microphone on the Sony is horrible though. I guess if you don't care about that get them.
Amazing sound, but they make my ears really warm after only a few minutes of use 🥵. With the new Bose 700, I had absolutely no warming issue even after hours of wearing them but with Sony 1000XM3 it takes 3-4 minutes for them to become uncomfortably warm around ears.
@Ezugo Obuekwe Yes but not as bad, very minimal. I tried some at Bestbuy. The QCs are incredibly worse.
@@wicked_observer I don't use my XM3s for calling though, just listening to music like you should. And besides, they times where I have talked on the phone wearing them, no one has ever complained about the call quality...

Peter because they are dragging their feet on it. Only MacBooks and iPad pros have type c. The inferior lighting still remains on other products, iPhone, cheaper iPads, airpods. Type c is the future. But they make too much money on lighting

Great review but I still think the Bose 700 is worth the $50 the microphones,conversation mode also multi device up to 8 and support Alexa and google assistant and don’t forget Sony xm3 started off at$400 I see no wrong with Bose
