- This is the first of my online “How It’s Made” weekly videos. Videos will be posted every Wednesday. I’ve been working with fluid acrylics for a year and recently began working with resin. I’m obsessed! I absolutely love creating home décor that combines art and function!
Celebrating Black History Month AND Women’s History Month! Sparrow Art Vibes features a selection of ceramic and resin beverage coasters, wine butlers, decorative cheese boards, resin serving trays, ceramic and resin napkin rings. All can be customized and personalized. This special “behind the scenes” video shows you how I made this gorgeous Afro Lady Resin Serving Tray from start to finish.
This is a MADE-TO-ORDER item that allows you to add a culturally relevant accent to your table with the Afro Woman Serving Tray. This made-to-order tray features rich shades that represent the melanin of women of color! Your Afro Serving Tray can be used for many things: serving tray, vanity tray, trinkets on your dresser!
This Afro Lady Serving Tray is perfect for the diva in your life, natural hair stylist, African-American history buff, or great entertainer.
Check out my other video showing step-by-step how I made a CUSTOM Afro Lady Serving Tray with resin handles!

Omg just beautiful 😍 where did you get your supplies from and molds pls list. Thanks Lisa 😊
Very very beautiful and super labor intensive. This should cost at the very least $175
Do you think ppl would buy them at that price because I sold mines for way cheaper than that.
NICE! I also LOVE the background music (I was here dancing to it). :-) Who is it by?
It came very nice, love it, did you send it with water?
Nicely done! Please put a doily to place food on.
Will do! I always sanitize the items before sell them if they were used for display.
beautiful, but can you put food on top of those when they are made of resin?
Just ran across your channel and subscribed love this piece of work. She's gorgeous. May I ask where did you get the handles they are different.
They look like cabinet handles to me
Beautiful where did you get the handles? ❤❤
Hobby Lobby
What brand of paint pens do you use? 😊
Hey T Harris,
Thanks for visiting my channel! I use DecoColor Premium Chisel Tip Paint Marker or CraftSmart Metallic Paint Pen. CraftSmart also makes a multi-surface Oil-Based Paint Pen.
Be sure to check out video #14 where I use “Martha Stewart Liquid Gilding Renaissance Gold Paint” that gives a rich looking luster finish. I think it’s a bit expensive but a little goes a long way. Also, I paint a coat of DecoArt Clear Gloss Varnish to prevent the gilding from rubbing off or tarnishing. I was told oil-based varnish is more durable but I haven’t used it myself.

The resin has to be food grade in order to place food on that piece of art.
