Thanks so much. I used her as a tray. But if I were to hang her up, I would of done a few different ways. Either attach a hook on the back with resin or drill some screws through.
This is beautiful!! I have already made her several times. One as a wall piece, one as a clock and 2 as serving trays. Thank you for the tip about making the resin thicker, thats a game changer for me.
There are several ways you can hang this. I haven't made a video showing, but thanks for the idea. I definitely will do that. 1 way is to drill a hole through the top and just feed a cord ribbon etc through it. Another way is to get a hook of your choice and just glue it down with E-6000 or even better put some resin on then back and lay the hook of your choice on it and let it cure. I will post a video soon to demonstrate 😊
@Mz Nay Nay’s Art Thank you so much, and i appreciate you responding and giving ideas, i will be looking for your next video, i have been looking for some Praying Hands for Mother's Day, i only see tiny hands so if you come across some think about doing something and posting🙏
Thanks so much. To make it a little thicker I used a lot of the black chunky glitter till it was the consistency I wanted. 😊 you can also use craft sand as well.
Thanks so much 😊 I made the resin thicker by adding a lot of the glitter to it. That made it a little thicker and it prevents the resin from mixing into the other color.
Mz. Ney Ney.I got to give you your props. You're the only one that I ' ve seen out of a lot of videos ,of different individuals doing Afro lady mode. Your really caught my eye, you really control that resin well. How long did you let the resin sit before you started?
Well thank you so much 😊 I really appreciate it. I let the first part sit for a few hours, I'd say about 4 hours. I just needed it firm enough for me to add my embellishments. It was still very tacky in some areas so if you make a mistake placing your embellishments trust me it won't lift up without bringing up some of the resin lol, trust me I know from experience 😂all resin is different so that also something to consider as well 👍🏽
Thanks so much ❤️ well yes you really should wear a respirator when using resin especially when there's no ventilation. Before I started wearing one I use wear a regular face mask. It's better to be safe than sorry you know? 👍🏽
Excellent video in the placement of glitter for the hair. I would have not put more butterflies around the neck which seems to be an overkill because you already have the beautiful knob there
Wonderful work! She is beautiful. With these molds, I have noticed the line in the center, if that is what you meant by lines, especially when using powders. I think it comes from where the silicone narrows, the resin pulls to center while curing and I get lines. The only way I have found to make them go into place is to wait a bit after pouring and then take a tip to pull them back out. It ends up creating a 3D effect like the lines of a neck. I am working on a technique to create dreads, right now. Have you done any dread work with resin I could learn from?
Oh wow dreads sounds awesome. I haven't tried that technique. I wonder how that could be done 🤔🤔if you do it tag me, I'd love to see it. As for the lines in the resin mold, yes it's definitely the mica. Someone suggested I powder the mold first to get the color instead of using directly in the resin. I haven't tried that yet in this mold. Perhaps soon 😊
@@MzNayNaysWorld Thank you, so much for your reply! Putting the mica on the mold works, but it limits you in a lot of ways and has a matte finish on the bottom side, unless you put a thin clear coat down first, let it set, then apply the powder. Also, if there is any extra powder it will still rise up to the top surface when you pour, in my experience. If you plan for the top to be the side used, I would maybe try to put a base layer of powder on the mold and then use inks in the resin to pour over it. Then if any powder rises, you can move it around in the inks to create some “texture”, if that makes sense. My dread experiment worked. I have not filmed while working with resin yet, but I will try to do so when I make some more this week. :0)
@@starloegalletta I'm gonna have to experiment more soon. I've only used my mold twice. I love your ideas and will give that a try. 🥰 I've been making a lot of the wood cutout diva ladies. @@MzNayNaysWorld you are welcome honey

I got this mold and have so many ideas for it this is gorgeous
The possibilities are endless isn't it? I haven't done a recent video using this mold, but I'm feeling inspired 😀
Beautiful! How long does it take to cure?
It took 24 hours to be able to handle it. A fully cured project needs at least a couple of days
How do you get your resin to thicken up? Having it thick does make a huge difference. I love your work btw!
Thanks so much. To make it a little thicker I used a lot of the black chunky glitter till it was the consistency I wanted. 😊 you can also use craft sand as well.
You did a great job, I'm new to this how did you make it thick?
Thanks so much 😊 I made the resin thicker by adding a lot of the glitter to it. That made it a little thicker and it prevents the resin from mixing into the other color.
