I mean co-op is a thing and terratech worlds is just around the corner! But yeah it's mostly just for the fun of it either way! Functionality comes second in this case.
The circuits and wiring seem like a sort of mix between Minecraft's Redstone and Terraria's wiring and it works really well. Also, I can't wait for someone to make a screen that plays the Bad Apple music video with color pixels.
Always glad to see more TerraTech! Your "stairstep" mechanism brings to mind the locks that boats go through to get over mountains. In any case, glad to see that you're still doing well. c:
I haven't tuned in for a while to a Lath vid, but dang is it a sight for sore eyes. I remember finding Lath in the robocraft era, and I'm so glad that he's still out here makin' bangers.
Something that'd be really cool is if the correct code would activate the bridge for a set period. After that, it closes again. Also, I wonder if it's possible for some kind of wireless signal transmission where instead of having to press a button, if you get close enough to something it automatically transmits the signal. Because then you can have a bridge that activates as you get close, which'd look REALLY cool.
I guess you can use the laser as the proximity thing and wire it to a transmitter on a certain frequency to another transmitter on the same that output that signal to whatever contraption you have concocted I guess. Not sure, but that's my guess.
When the world needed him most, he returned. In all seriousness Lathrix, if you would ever make a new series of Terratech, you should play it with some mods. The advanced AI mod, manual aim mod for example, or maybe some extra cooperations like greentech or the lemon kingdom. Would love to see you return to one of my favorite games. 🤘
Just looked up Terratech world's and it looks sick. I love the terratech vehicle genre and im hyped for its release. It occurs to me that you could create aircraft carrier tech. Like techs that carry other techs that they can deploy and extract!
Now I can just imagine actual capture vehicles using extending pistons with drills on them with outer disable weapons to take of guns and you just well capture an enemy and crush them within
You were probably trying to decide if the order of the buttons matters or not. In some locks, if you press the wrong order of buttons, it resets the whole system. In this system, the order of correct buttons doesn't seem to matter, just as long as you have the right switches on.
Fun fact, with and gates, or gates, inverters, a power source and form of input you could make a simple turing complete computer assuming the build limit doesnt interfere. Although, if techs can transmit signals then you could circumvent that by building each component as a single tech.
For the lock you could make all the switches go to a OR gate and have the ‘correct’ switches go to NOT gates before going to the OR gate, then finally a NOT gate at the end
Oh hey, haven't seen you in my Recommendeds for quite a while. Certainly looks cool, though I can't say I'd ever get into anything THAT technical in TerraTech... even though I've honestly already played it as much as I can be content with... Oh, speaking of "been a while"... Do you happen, by any chance, to recall an old Flash game called Shellcore Command? If so, have I got news! It's an old 2D move-and-shoot "core"-building (aka ship-building) game that has a sort of Tron-like style to it, though in the days of Adobe Flash Player it was essentially abandoned after being completed halfway... UNTIL RECENTLY. There is this group of people who have taken it upon themselves to pick up where the original creator left off, not only remastering the game into Unity, but also adding TONS more to the game, such as Shellcore allies that you can party up with, a Part Index of like... I think it's around 800 different parts now?, a MULTIPLAYER feature, and most importantly... THREE episodes completed with the fourth and final still in the works, rather than only two. I HIGHLY recommend looking it up if you're open to a big ole nostalgia trip!
I think that the realy simple things like a futuristic tank that changes the color of the cab to red when enemies are nearby or a value from green to red with distance would be really cool
I've been waiting for you to see enough potential in the updates for a revised. This is by far my favorite of your series. I'm not sure how I feel about the new art style of the 2.0 game.
You could make a trapdoor entrance, where the end of the bridge is blocked with a gate until you hit a sensor midway that opens it. But if you entered the wrong code, the bottom falls out instead
Glad your back Lath , I feel your pain with the lost videos , my pc bricked and I lost all my recordings and alot of my pictures :( My new techs found the problem and were able to fix it ( it was my cheapness/stupidity that caused the crash ) I hope the universe is a little more kind to you and lets you get into your groove. Is the house stuff going ok?
for the first bridge you should try and make it so it detects when you cross and start to retract the bridge so you have to run from the bridge about to drop you down a cliff.
I would like to see you try to make a carrier with gates (doesnt need to be planes just like a mobile base with vehicle storage) because before was almost impossible.
The addition of Not Redstone is seriously cool, but from the looks of it, the only problem is that the only way to build bridges is with the SUPER tiny garage doors. Considering that most techs have wheels as big as a single segment of the bridge, we'll need larger bridge parts if an extending bridge is to be usable in a legit playthrough.
Glad it’s back missed you lath your terretech is always great btw have you seen terratech worlds the trailer and if so will you play it? I whould love to see that
Am I the only one that just thought of using binary for the locks? Each toggle is a digit in binary and get assigned a value: the first one gets 1, the next one 2, the next 4, then 8, etc,. And any given number within the range of 0-all the toggles can be represented with a combination and will only have one correct combination of toggles, so I imagine that might make it much easier, but I don't know how hard it is to assign values in Terratech.
now make an interesting vehicle with a openable back section. What you could do with it, idk. If you COULD find a way to store things inside of it, cool, (idk if the physics engine will let you, though, unless they're connected)
I've never played Terratech, and I'm still trying to catch up on your Terratech adventures (I'm 4 years behind), so you may have noticed this already... But the GeoCorp Continuous Track comes in "left" middle" and "right". Have you tried putting them together to form one big track unit? No idea if it'll work, but if it does, that could be a major boost to load capacity... Alternately, using them according to their "side" might enhance maneuvering... Just a thought...
Just curious about the top hat.. Do you have this one in real life? Reason I ask is because the round mark at the front seem like a real detail that is just included on both the channel user picture and in the game. Either way, always fun and uplifting to see you lose yourself to creativity!
im not great at terratech, in the sense of building vehicles as most of them become huge or idk how to place all the guns in good ways, but this will give me something to play with
I love how you’re putting a lock in the world where nobody can even try to break in
I mean co-op is a thing and terratech worlds is just around the corner!
But yeah it's mostly just for the fun of it either way! Functionality comes second in this case.
@@LathlandTerraTech Worlds? I have something to Google now.
It's the PRINCIPLE of the thing, dammit! XD
Oh my god terratech worlds looks absurd
@@Lathland wth is tt worlds?

it is one of thoes good balances for the right idea
and doom

Terratech is a series *We* would like to see continued in the future
Terratech is indeed a series I wish to see continued!
I haven't tuned in for a while to a Lath vid, but dang is it a sight for sore eyes. I remember finding Lath in the robocraft era, and I'm so glad that he's still out here makin' bangers.
Yeah same. Loved robocraft
had to google it, TerraTech Worlds trailer looks absolutely astonishing. I can not stress how excited I am for its release!

Yeah, bet it could be done....

Great video, glad you're enjoying the new feature!
Glad to see the Terratech continue to appear on your channel

PLEASE CONTINUE THE SERIES❤❤❤ I LOVED IT
Just looked up Terratech world's and it looks sick. I love the terratech vehicle genre and im hyped for its release. It occurs to me that you could create aircraft carrier tech. Like techs that carry other techs that they can deploy and extract!
Now you HAVE to make a mech.^^ That would be awesome with the new stuff.
Cant wait to see you play the new TerraTech worlds game when it comes out :D
I’m glad your back! I really enjoy your videos and they are amazing!
I made a dock inside a bottom of a sandcrawler(I got off the workshop) it fits a 4 by 3 by 1 tech with a ramp and door
Now I can just imagine actual capture vehicles using extending pistons with drills on them with outer disable weapons to take of guns and you just well capture an enemy and crush them within
Have you seen the trailer for Terratech Worlds? The graphics are amazing.
Love to see that Terratech is back! It, as well as Cosmoteer and From the Depths, is a serries I would love to see continue.
I remember watching letsplays of this back in aboutt 2015-2017 and wanting it so bad, no that i have a gaming pc, this is awesome!
i was watching your first terratech videos when i saw that you had posted. made my day
Regarding the door, you can put two extenders sidways to make two sides of the door. That way, you won't have an issue with your height
Dude, give us some Scrap Mechanic videos. Seriously, I wanna know all the crazy stuff you've built in that game.
You’re like the Mumbo jumbo of terratech now, and I love that
You were probably trying to decide if the order of the buttons matters or not.

This makes me want to play some more Terratech. Loved building a massive crafting base and adding weird little logic bits sounds fun.
Try to use it to fly and it can carry techs with redstone and make a walking base with battery's and put charges and you can make real mobile base!
i wish i could get youtube to notify me about everything _except_ stellaris
For the lock you could make all the switches go to a OR gate and have the ‘correct’ switches go to NOT gates before going to the OR gate, then finally a NOT gate at the end
You could probably automate the stairs completely by using the pistons to push you forward onto the next steps at every level
Im a simple man, i see Lathland terratexh video and i like it.

Can the little ant tech be the new intro/outro charater? Its so adorable.
The intro’s never dissapoint 😂
You could make a trapdoor entrance, where the end of the bridge is blocked with a gate until you hit a sensor midway that opens it. But if you entered the wrong code, the bottom falls out instead
I love terratech content. Really gets the ol' brain goin.
Terratech video, let's gooo!!!
I want to use this redstone to my house and use my defenders and no enemie can go through it !
OMG GOD BRO BACK TO PLAYING THIS GAMELETS GO!
A blocky game with something from another blocky game. My favourite!
15:29, or you could have used an Xor gate
I appreciate the cheesy ending. Glad to see some new toys in TerraTech, too.
Nice to see terratech is back

Lathland you can make a flying base with this now that is accessible by small techs.
OMG! More terratech content!!

That one guy that makes the entire Shrek movie in TerraTech💀
This update looks awesome so far. Can't wait until they add it to console.
They always take way too long :(
Spiff?
New stuff!
I'd love to see a new FTD campaign mode playthrough
