nice video! I did pick this up and I am quite enjoying it! the quest progression is a bit absurd, different quests for building and placing the same building is silly, I plan to give some suggestions. as far as silicon goes, you want to get the fragmenter and fragment the quartz. you get a ton more when you fragment it and quartz can be hard to find so you want to get as much as you can. also you can fragment trees to increase how much carbon you get. and my final tip after a couple days of playing is that you can refine your carbon before putting it in the generator, to significantly increase how long your fuel lasts.
All great tips! Thanks! 👍
I was floored by the cost, even discounted. And the reviews were shocking. Still on my wishlist, but I'll wait for a deeper discount and a ton of work getting the EA where the demo was at, as a starter.
I haven't read the reviews, but I did notice it has a low score.
So far, I'm enjoying it quite a bit.
They've dramatically improved several things in the time since the last demo.
Same here it has potential but at the moment no
@@Glidercat I hear the ammo is a pain.
@@rphilipsgeekery4589 In the very early game it is difficult to get a lot of aluminum for the early "Light Ammunition."
If your aim is poor, like mine 😸, you'll burn through an enormous amount of ammunition. To be fair, the guns are super accurate in their firing.
In a future episode, I switch exclusively to using laser weapons and then I add plasma weapons w/ammo.
Once you have a moderately effective tech, gathering the early resources (iron, copper, aluminum, coal, and silicon) become very, very easy as you'll obtain those materials (along with a few others) by scrapping parts of the enemy techs you've destroyed.
I quickly got to the point where I was actually scrapping light ammunition I picked up from enemies to get the raw aluminum back. 😺
Stay tuned for more episodes where I show some of this stuff.
There's a lot of confusion about this game so I'm thinking about making some tutorial videos as well to help players get started.
@@Glidercat guided always go down well , gaming sites are full of them ,
Your way of making videos is very cool kept me watching. Have earned a subscribe from me and will keep watching
That's great to hear! I'm glad to hear you're enjoying the content here. 😺
I also played the demo extensively. But it was an endless grind IMO. If I see the current revieuws 226 positive / 227 negative. I have to agree with a lot of them, I'm going to wait this one out. Hopefully they will read and listen.
some game mechanics were just outright malicious, such as falling trees, frequent lightings targeting player (hit through buildings/trees), muddy craters after ore are mined, unusable fragmentor/ tractor beam,
lack of some specific resources (lithium/quartz),
building collision damage,
unusable techyard storage extension,
unable to split built part of buildings and more
None of these issues have occurred to me in 6 hours of play time. The game is obviously not finished and polished, but it doesn’t have game breaking bugs. It does lack content, but thats what early access games are.
@@tuberculelapatate221 I also haven't had any of those game-breaking bugs, either. As you said, the game is not finished. Atm the rate is 267 positive / 259 negative. Yesterday it was 226/227. That's IMO not a great start for a new game.
I think people expected too much from an early access game
i have not played the current build
all the problems i mentioned came from the demo build released earlier this year
it could be just payload studio testing the new mechanics so they overtuned the values to confirm the mechanics actually works
because all the mechanics were far more impactful than they should be and happens to be hostile to players
Fun game! I tried out the demo and also enjoyed the original. Thanks for the video
It's actually come quite a long way from the demo and they are very actively making updates and improvements to the game. I'm having a great time with it.
How to get silicon?
Make your teacher angry via giving wrong answers.
That's how you get silly cone. ;P
Yeah, you weren't ready to go after the quartz yet... But very enjoyable.
Yeah, I definitely wasn't. 😸
Never knew you had color blindness, that is interesting! how does that work for you, what colors cant you tell apart?
I believe he has problems with the blue colour, so I think it's the blue-yellow colour blindness, but I will let him answer this because I may be saying horseshait
Also, the most interesting part of all is that he never turns on the colour-blind mode in any game, so we (The ones without colour-blindness) can see the game as it is. For me, this is professionalism at its best.
I am moderately red/green colorblind.
There are 1000s of colors I can see identical to the way that a person with normal color vision sees them. Unfortunately, there are many thousands more colors that I will perceive quite differently.
Pretty much any color that has any bit of red or green in it (i.e. purples, browns, burgundy, etc.) is something I'm probably going to see differently from people who aren't colorblind.
In gaming, this comes up when something is shown in red to draw the attention of the player. In many cases, even if I can tell the color is red by really studying it, it won't stand out to me as much, so I may not notice it.
I'm actually red/green colorblind, but any color that has the presence of red or green its makeup could be one I don't perceive correctly. For example, I often see certain shades/hues of purple as being blue instead since I don't always detect the presence of red.
You give me too much credit. 😺 I will usually pick to play with colorblind mode set on, if I'm aware a game has it. However, my colorblindness usually doesn't affect my gameplay significantly so I rarely bother to check if a game has a colorblind mode.
Of the hundreds of games I've played for the channel, only Outpost Engineer presented a problem I couldn't work around due to my colorblindness. The cable car feature in that game uses/used a pair of red and green colors that I couldn't tell apart at all. And you absolutely needed to tell the difference in order to set up a string of cable cars to transport materials. It's a cool game, but I don't know if the colors were ever changed or not.
Engagement.
How do you turn off the clouds and fog?
The developers mentioned that they will be adding a setting in the game for this, but I don't think it's there yet.
How I did it is a bit tricky. There is a file called "engine.ini" that you can find here:
C:\Users\\AppData\Local\TT2\Saved\Config\Windows
At the bottom of that file, I added the following 4 lines:
[SystemSettings]
r.fog=0
r.volumetricfog=0
r.volumetriccloud=0
Note that these settings will likely affect other places in the game where fog and fog-like graphics effect are present.
@@Glidercat thx
Nice video, the game itself just seems grindy and slow.
There definitely is some grind to it but overall I do like it quite a bit.
BB BlockBucks
That makes sense. Thanks!!! 👍
why is half the screen taken up with ui when you're building , im already annoyed looking at you do it
Skill issue
@@superliogaming are you thick? Or just trolling? The UI It takes up two thirds of the screen , its absurd
