The fact is it can, and has done so in Red flag Alaska when German euro fighter pilots faced off against F-22s. “yesterday, we have had a Raptor salad for lunch.” if i may quote one of the German pilots.
Raptor has stealth , but he is stealth only from the ground and that is not proven either because the stealth f-117 was shot down in Serbia and that by using old technology , so , who knows. Eurofighter is better in dogfight no matter the raptors vector thrusting because its only 2D and it looses altitude while manoeuvering , the eurofighter can spot a raptor from 50km and EF Typhoon works in wolfpacks and it has advanced sky net that let's him communicate with other eurofighters in real time , that means that one typhoon targets a plane and the other typhoon 50km away shots a rocket in him without even turning on his radar. Any way - I don't want to start flame wars in here . So I'll just say , that in my opinion eurofighter typhoon 2000 is sexier and better aircraft than anything u can find.
nicely put .... typhoon is always gonna be better ... as described the typhoon hunts in wolf packs and tell each pilot were things are and fire away ... rest of plane and equipment do the rest
I recently got some good info on the Eurofighters turn rate, It's 28.5º/sec this is instantaneous turn rate, That kicks the Flankers ASS! the F-15C's is 28.8º/sec The Su-27 Flanker 28º/sec The F-22 though turns at 30º/sec :/ The Eurofighter turns tighter then most or all flankers at 425knots, not 150knots bullshit The Eurofighter avionics are awesome, with the AMRAAM and Europe's new LONG range BVR missile Means if Russia wants to put there Flanker up, The Eurofighter and NATO will have no problem eating it for lunch!
However, if I'm not mistaken the F-22 cannot maintain that turn rate without suffering structural damage. While the Eurofighter is built to maintain those rates.
No! I don't think so! Should and could be, or not!? But Better (It Should Have Been!) for sure! But RAFALE, The Rafale is Lot Better than this one AND, and lot Cheaper! And! Gripen!, Is Even More Agile (Little Bit Or More!?) more Than Rafale, which is more Agile than the Typhoon, But, Gripen is not As Stealthy As The Rafale! But Gripen And Typhoon Are Equal Stealthy, Or Maybe Gripen Is Little Bit (Or more) more Stealthier! But Because Lot Smaller, It Has Smaller RCS And HS = Heat Signature! God Bless You So As WE ALL!
Niven The americans said the opposite. I agree that the Eurofighter is fantastic but the F-22 is anything but a pushover with its BVR and good pitch rate
@ryantika I mean Germany built a plane like the Harrier but able to break the sonic-barrier. And the question who invented the jet engine: three teams worked at their engines during the same time without knowing about each other. But the German Me 262 was the first jetplane which went into serial production.
Chill people, and enjoy this movie. The Eurofighter may not the latest in generation and performance maybe. But it is certainly one of the most beautiful fighters I have ever seen.
@hashpuppy101 the EF is know for a massive carrying capacity in terms of variations and combinations of weaponry and fuel tanks. The EF has 11 links. although as standard the EF usually will have 1 (if not 3 fuel pods) and depending on intelligence, extra flare dispensers.
@Ortheos2006 Theyre focusing on the f-35 more because it is multirole and can be used in several branches also and mainly because of the cost is cheaper for the f-35(not by much though). And the eurofighter not having stealth is pretty much the deciding factor in the battle not to mention the maneuverability of the f-22
@Warpath2198 The JSF is a different story. The Eurofighter was first designed and built by Eurofighter GmbH which is a multinational corporation and now the UK build their own Eurofighters (the Typhoon FGR4) to meet the specific requirements of the RAF as well as still building the front and rear fueselage sections for Typhoons of the other airforces and the rest of the sections are built in Germany, Spain and Italy as usual
@livipaul The RAF also deployed 10 Eurofighters to Lybia and at least 2 of them have already done ground attacks. France did the same, deploying Rafale AND Mirage 2000, the US flew their attacks with F15 and F18 jets.
@deran21 The "Novi Avion" was based on the french Rafale which evolved from the same "future european fighter aircraft" project as the Eurofighter. The EF tech demonstrator "EAP" (and the Rafale A) flew back in 1986, so how the hell could it be a copy?
@em745aa No it´s not just another drone. That aircraft has some features of the German RECCE Tornado Bomber, that means with its radar, it is able to recognize the environment so it always knows where it is and it doesn´t need any GPS or satellite connection for that. You programm that buddy before it goes on mission and that is it. No RC etc. necessary. In the video the RC was just for the camera device of that plane. And don´t forget it is still a prototype, which can be build bigger later on.
@xenomorphelv426 similarly, the EF has taken 12 tonnes as a prototype, but failed to meet super maneuverability. hence its limit is 7.5 tonnes as this is the optimum weight for equipment/fuel and maneuverability.
@AmFearLiathMor The Spitfire you mentioned flew after the war. The Mustang was in the war. And wing loading doesn't equate to agility. Right on with the Canberra though, nothing with props would touch that. You could stop it with a some 50's missile interceptors though.
@RockRebel1998 as for France, from what i have read the Raffle can be detected but the attacking fighter has major issues trying to lock on to the jet, it has stealth in that way, im no radar expert i have no idea how to explain it. The euro fighter has a IR signature (it means how large it looks/how easy to detect on radar) of an F-16 although its larger, as for stealth don't know.
@black39gold Operationally they're one-seater, although there are a couple of trainer aircraft that are two-seater. The trainers will never see operational demands, though.
@aspiringdrummer17 The parts are built by all 4 nations, according to their share in the program. Each of those 4 nations has it's own final assembly line, so all british Typhoons were assembled at Warton, but the parts were built across Europe.
@thekkl America doesnt even have enough F22's for themselves lol. The thing is restricted to 25 thousand ft, only JUST got off being grounded due to gassing its pilots and costs the US a disproportionate amount compared to its flight hours. The build was stopped at 182 for a reason.
@ranbrent Its not only British, yes Britain has put more % of the investigation and developement, but this fighter is British, German, Italian, and Spanish, thats why is that great!
@xenomorphelv426 the reason no one has any interest in carrier versions of the rafale or EF anymore is that the Anglo-American Hybrid YF-35 JSF is on the market. To enhance the capabilities of the f-35, the brits are making 2 world leading ACC's designed with the f-35 in mind, but also purchasing fleets of f-35Cs for normal runways. The EF being reduced to mainly defensive roles, or low level assaults.
@KiranaForever A EF costs about 100 mil €, including all development costs, the Raptor over 300-350 mil $. And that's without the needed upgrades for the first 100 or so production Raptors, costing about 100 mil $ PER PLANE.
@MikeNspicy On Charles de Gaulle, dozen of Rafale are parked permanently on the deck during operations, once each pilots are in their cockpit the first Rafale can be catapulted in less than 1 minutes , and every 30 seconds for the next ones. harrier is also limited with his max speed (1065km/h) where Rafale can go at Mach 1.8. (2200Km/H), so for emergency interception there is no comparison possible.
@jorgos134 Contrary to popular believe, the F-22 has never seen combat and has major drawbacks. It's too expensive, the range is too short which means the forward bases are in ballistic missile range, it's anti-radar measures are outdated and there were numerous problems with the equipment on board. One pilot even died when the oxygen cut out.
@popsimon6 All of the sources I've read say that the radar in the Typhoon is more advanced. India is also interested in either the Typhoon or the Rafale after looking at several aircraft in the MMRCA competition. The Indians are interested in the Sukhoi/HAL FGFA not the T-50. They're both very similar but the FGFA is more suited to the requirements of the IAF. Not to mention India is the co-developer of the aircraft. Your English is fine btw :)
@gaming8 Actually the UK and Germany was working together on a joint tank platform, but we went our seperate ways in the end. And what came out of it? The Challanger and the Leopard. Says it all really...
@xenomorphelv426 During the Falklands War, Harriers used the 'viffing' technique to out out-manouvre a pursuing jet (Mirage IIIs )by vectoring the thrusts forward (into the vertical for a split-second,as in "Top Gun"). Putting THEM in the six o'clock position. The 'hunter' now the 'hunted'. We used a British jet, and above all there were British (possibly English) pilots in it! : )
We needed an allrounder fighter that from day one would be open to a Navy version. The Typhoon is a great aircraft (there's some Dassault Mirage legacy in it!), an efficient one, heavier than the Rafale (a couple of tons, with additional thrust), but too heavy to allow any carrier compatibility. To put it short, that thing conveniently covers the needs of Germany, Spain and Italy. I'm sure the RN would have been delighted to be granted a stealth agile fighter with carrier compatibility.
@Dollar1998 all 3 of those manufactures are combining efforts for another euro fighter, check this out "Swedish Stealth Fighter Jet" read the description too, "Sweden, Great Britain, France, Germany, Italy and Spain" are all part of the project.
France was involved in the Euro fighter project when the conception started back in the 1980's. originally called the Future European Fighter Aircraft (FEFA) programme, France withdrew from the project when they tought the plane was not what france was looking for in a fighter at the time.
You're right, the Typhoon isn't a descendant of the X-31. I was thinking of the upcoming Russian PAK FA. However, the F-22 was designed after the X-31 and its thrust vectoring abilities.
@Helge129 YES I just saw that on TimeWarp. Thats exactly what they called it and it has something to do with the atmospheric pressure and the fact the thrust is going faster then the speed of sound
@RockRebel1998 The UK were developing the "Replica" stealth jet to rivle the f22, rumors are that it made a test flight, but Lockheed Martin made big promises with a low price so the UK canceled their project and handed over all information in their stealth study's over to the U.S. They invested in the F-35 instead. Unfortunately the F-35 was over exaggerated. Japan right now is developing their own stealth fighter, would be interesting to see what they come up with.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong; but as far as I know, this could be considered more of a "4.5" Generation aircraft (?). It does have some 5th Gen features, though (RCS reduction measures and supercruise if I recall correctly).
Concorde WAS an engineering marvel, she was designed to push the limit in a way that nothing has done since. She was not the best commercial aircraft, but she was the fastest, that's all that matters considering her fame. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I would argue that the Panavia Tornado is the best looking aircraft currently flying, however your opinion may differ. It proves that the states is losing its grasp on the global commercial market to us Europeans.
Radar and missiles tend to work rather well. IFF has solved the Friend or Foe problem, and it's further boosted by NCTR and datalinking. BVR missiles work well enough for them to be the main weapon of every airforce in the world. There are ASRAAM's and AIM-9X's, but its AMRAAM and Meteor that get the attention. They are the ones that will be used in a full scale war. Also, note that the F-22 can deny WVR to the EF based on SC speed.
@MikeNspicy EF is not yet all weather ground attack capable, it still need a AESA radar. Rafale already has it. Rafale (navy version) and EF have exactly the same amount of hard points (13) (Rafale air force version have 14 hard points). so if you see rafale flying with less bomb than EF it's not because a technical limitation. Ef is limited to 7500kg payload, Rafale can carry 9500kg.
@njdevil281 I wouldn't say that they were completely outdated. They held their own continuously against ME-109s thanks to their better turn radius. The two were an even match and being an even match for the preferred frontiline fighter of the Luftwaffe at the time isn't outdated by anyone's standards. It wasn't until the Focke Wulf FW-190 came along that the spitfire became outmatched.
@USAmilitarypower Ever heard of Thales Radar from the Dutch. With that your F22 is easy to detect. No joke. You can find anything up in the sky when you know what you have to look after.
@em745aa The X-47 is a small stealth fighter aircraft sub sonic speed. It can fire long rage missiles miles away. It can be refueld on flight, radar jaming and electronic jaming capabilities, countermeasures against enemies missiles. it can fly without pilot fatigue. It can carry all the weapons conventional fighters carries, It can fly to and attack hostile enemy territory without harming any pilot. B-2 Stealth bomber is also subsonic but deadly. Unmanned fighters is the future my friend!
@islanderws I'm inclined to agree, i was in school with a chap who at the age of 27 flew the English Electric Lightening, we met on a school reunion at the time and he informed me that he still could'nt drive a car! (a difficult one to get one's head around..), if only i tried harder at my studies whilst at school, i ended up in the British Army - i flew on many Aircraft, however, i never flew them, i never have as yet met an unemeliable pilot whether military or commercial, they are always nice
@sttarcky France? They didn't be a part of the Jointventure. The countries building the Eurofighter are Germany, the UK and italy. France uses the Dassault Rafale
Fair enough, I'm on human factors training until Thursday, however Friday I'm back in the hanger and I'll get some picture of the airframe service handbooks as I you don't want the MTBF values for engines and avionics.
Obviously in BVR the F-22 comes out on top, but thats not what im arguing about. My point was that the typhoon has equal if not better WVR dog fighting capabilities that the Raptor. And although it does depend on the rules and circumstances of the exercise they do give a basic idea of how the different jets perform against each other.
Would you like my full working history? 2years RAF, got to chief avionics at Marham on the Tornado GR4's. Then I had a couple of years working for BAE at Marshall aerospace performing an avionic orientated role on the C-130's that passed through there, now I'm at Heathrow where i maintain the avionics on BA's and Lufthansa's large aircraft fleets. Sometimes a spelling mistake is just a mistake. That doesn't surprise me, its hard enough finding the reports when you work on the damned things.
Well, the Typhoon can detect F-22 Raptor easily. Two German EF Typhoon was seen with Raptor killing marks in the Alaskan Range.Raptor was invisible to radar, but not against IRST.
@ransack5 and this 60,000 ft climb rate can be reached with the current Snecma M88-2 75KN engine. (eurofighter already flight with 90KN engine and only has 2k feet climb rate more only)
Wow! 14 years and this is stlll a bad ass video. It's to bad bloat and cost overruns priced this plane out if reach for so many markets.
Love this synthesizer sound 😍
one of the first fighter jet edits people
And they were fire tbh i saw this video for the first time when i was 6 (now i'm 19)
Che meraviglia di aereo! E più bello quando fa le acrobazie in volo!!!!! Grande Eurofighter!!!👍
Fantastic Aircraft!
Qué belleza por dios ..!!
The Eurofighter Typhoon does look a lot like the Dassault Rafale!
I was exactly thinking
Which one would win
On a bball court 101
I bet the Rafale would!
FANTÁSTICO !!!
The fact is it can, and has done so in Red flag Alaska when German euro fighter pilots faced off against F-22s. “yesterday, we have had a Raptor salad for lunch.” if i may quote one of the German pilots.
for me eurofighter typhoon is the best jet in the world
nguyen hoang khang Not only for you, for everybody
It's such a beautiful plane
Music is nice
These babies are so amazingly beautiful! I want one too...

FUTURE OF BANGLADESH AIR FORCE
*EXCELLENTE*
Man, this thing looks like it handles like a dream!
I recently got some good info on the Eurofighters turn rate, It's 28.5º/sec this is instantaneous turn rate, That kicks the Flankers ASS! the F-15C's is 28.8º/sec The Su-27 Flanker 28º/sec
The F-22 though turns at 30º/sec :/
The Eurofighter turns tighter then most or all flankers at 425knots, not 150knots bullshit
The Eurofighter avionics are awesome, with the AMRAAM and Europe's new LONG range BVR missile
Means if Russia wants to put there Flanker up, The Eurofighter and NATO will have no problem eating it for lunch!
Wow honesty thank you I love the eurofighter and the f 22 raptor.
Wow honesty thank you I love the eurofighter and the f 22 raptor.
Bobby Johnson I love them too
However, if I'm not mistaken the F-22 cannot maintain that turn rate without suffering structural damage. While the Eurofighter is built to maintain those rates.
Sarge Rho Your shitting me right?
The F-22's structure is much stronger then a Eurofighters...IT doesn't get structure damage..site your sources
So legendary 😁
European technology
British*
simply an amazing airplane
great
As much as I love the F-22, this jet is the best on the planet in my opinion. It's made to fight birds, not to be stealthy.
check su-47 ;)
piotrekchr3 Not in service and wouldnt do shit if it was.
jay6541 but looks awesome for me
piotrekchr3 Wow.
No! I don't think so! Should and could be, or not!? But Better (It Should Have Been!) for sure! But RAFALE, The Rafale is Lot Better than this one AND, and lot Cheaper! And! Europe is the best !
no
Yes!
wow that is gorgeous. awesome vid with fitting music.
The best jet in my opinion and a F22 raptor would shit its self if it saw this.
nice
we when to see it
I smell bullshit!
well the German typhoon pilots were calling the raptor "salad for the typhoons lunch" at red flag so I think it did
Niven
The americans said the opposite. I agree that the Eurofighter is fantastic but the F-22 is anything but a pushover with its BVR and good pitch rate
Thanks to Europe for used my name lol
Who's still watching in 2020, even though it's been a crap and very strange year 😀😀😀😀
@ryantika

Damn I wish I had the skill to be a pilot. It's the most awesome thing you could ever dream of, maybe after going into space.
Chill people, and enjoy this movie. The Eurofighter may not the latest in generation and performance maybe. But it is certainly one of the most beautiful fighters I have ever seen.

the most badass fighter plane ever, looks futuristic :)

My point is, the rafale is not a eurofighter copy however it did take A LOT of inspiration from the BAE EAP as did the eurofighter.
@jorgos134

nothing can out climb the eurofighter and the music totally fits the video XD

EF is not yet all weather ground attack capable, it still need a AESA radar.
Oh you again? Nice to see you, mate.
@samuraifoo did you know the uk versions were grounded last yr cos we didnt have spare parts
The EF-2000 seems to be more agile and quicker. I've never seen any solid basis for putting the Rafale over the Typhoon, or vice versa.
So cool, I am definitely impressed by the Europeans on this fighter awesome.
Beautifull aircrafts.
Love it
@Zengo
The eurofighter is a Co-production
Oder auf deutsch : es ist ein Projekt an dem Deutschland und England gleichermaßen beteiligt sind
Great video.
Well, the Typhoon can detect F-22 Raptor easily. Two German EF Typhoon was seen with Raptor killing marks in the Alaskan Range.Raptor was invisible to radar, but not against IRST.
@KungFriedChicken True, but a lightyear isn't a measurement of speed, but of a distance: The distance that light covers in one year. ;)
@ReconSparton this is best plane.
But what is those 3 planes before that Typhoon?
i can say this, raptor has been beaten up by Typhoon.
@ransack5 and this 60,000 ft climb rate can be reached with the current Snecma M88-2 75KN engine. (eurofighter already flight with 90KN engine and only has 2k feet climb rate more only)
