      I agree. In this climate today, people can just accuse you of anything and you’re automatically guilty.

      68-67 at Rutgers. 11-21 at Tampa Bay. His former players at Tampa Bay said his lead to team like an autocrat, quote "It's like Cuba". This is all without mentioning the Sandusky article posted by The Washington Post.

    This guy is coaching at Ohio State I'm pretty sure he's good to coach anywhere else I'm pretty sure Ohio state did background checks on every one of their employees. If Ohio State found something they wouldn't have hired him. Don't make this guy not have a job because of an accusation. That's wrong. Schiano is innocent until proven guilty it says that in the Constitution.

    People comparing SAS here to his position with Zeke are way off base. In the case with Zeke, he himself was accused of driectly assaulting the woman. Schiano is simply accused of having knowledge, not directly being the perpetrator. Also you are missing the key point: Zeke's camp pointed to flaws in the investigation and the commissioner and character of the witness but they never pointed to the fact he didnt do it. We have visual evidence of him lifting a girls shirt up at a parade so it is not out of the question to surmise he did in fact do it. In this case, it is simply an accusation with no real base or substance and people are running with that. These are 2 very different cases that we are dealing with here.

      @calvinbrice.t2140 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      But here’s the thing: you bring up this Zeke Elliot case but the thing you guys don’t understand is that the NFL has the power to do that. Zeke was proven not guilty but the NFL can punish a player if they weren’t guilty or not. Because you can just say that oh you disgraced the shield so you must be punished. And the CBA was made like that because the NFLPA gave the commissioner this power. He’s had 5 different times he showed up to the girl’s house and plus he’s done multiple other things as well. You all keep acting like the NFL has to abide by regular rules of society. They don’t. It’s a privately owned industry. Which has it’s own rules

    • @xacex6944
      @xacex6944 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      calvin Brice. T but they shouldn't, that's the problem, the NFL should not be able to do that, it's ridiculous. The law finds someone not guilty but the NFL does? What could they possibly have found that they felt was enough to suspend him when the fucking law said he's innocent? How does that make sense?
      The NFL should not have that right, which is why they need changes in their rules.

    • @calvinbrice.t2140
      @calvinbrice.t2140 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      DirkKobefan 24841 it is a problem but the players agreed to this. They set the tone for what’s been going on. Why give one man all that power? This is why we don’t have one person in our government sole and unchallenged power? Checks and balances because someone could potentially abuse the power they’re given. So because you want less practice time( which has also contributed to the ridiculous amounts of injuries) and more off time, you lose your will and power? And the courts almost never want to get involved in private business decisions. So if the courts don’t back you then where are you going to go? And also Zeke put it on himself as well. Even though you’re not guilty just the look and perception of it for the NFL is bad enough for them and it’s just stupid to get into incidents afterwards such as going to a weed dispensary when weed is illegal in the NFL(we don’t know what he was doing there but again the look of it) or getting into fights in bars or pulling down a girl’s bra while you’re being investigated. Come on have better sense especially when you’re hot.

    Greg Schiano is a really good coach. Admittedly, he lost his team during his second year in Tampa but his first year he made his team quite competitive after the underwhelming Raheem Morris era. Furthermore, to go 56-33 in his final 7 years at Rutgers is miraculous, including at one point being ranked #7 in 2006 ( a revival like Bill Snyder at K-State ). Who else can do that at Rutgers? I understand why UT fans don't not want Schiano, but why do so many think he is a horrible football coach?

    • @TomSNC
      @TomSNC 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      90s Sports Nostalgia Tampa. Quite competitive? He destroyed Freeman for A guy who lost his job to a rookie, TWICE. Had no ability to coach men, instead treating the team as if they were kids in college. No ability to change, win, relate, adapt. His team was most known for losing and taking dirty dives at QBs in victory formations. You wanna crown a guy for winning games no one cared about in Rutgers(a school thay sends players to the NFL before him mind you) go ahead. Why would I want him when there is a bevy of other options

    Everybody hated Tennessee when Fulmer and Manning were there, even some Tennessee folks. Tennessee isn't a bandwagon football program. People hate on them regardless, including their own people. • @u2bemark
    @u2bemark 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Thank You Stephen A Smith.. McQueary's "story" is even worse than you realize. Since all these victims told their stories decades later, there is little to nail down exactly when they occurred. But here was 1 victim that Sandusky met/targeted in 1994 or 1995.. the last two years Schiano was at PSU.. that victim has a hazy memory of a shower rape... we don't know what year that happened. And 5 other attacks at Sandusky;s house. So the odds that Schiano was in the facility when Sandusky did this is slim.. and McQueary's story is that Bradley told him that Schiano came into his office "white as a ghost".. which now mens Sandusky went through with this attack in the showers while 2 coaches were in the facilities.
    And then both these coaches decided to do nothing and never talk about it again.. except over a decade later McQueary says Bradley told him the story. Why would he tell McQueary that story then deny it when all he had to do was NOT TELL MCQUEARY THE STORY.
    So, McQueary's story was used by McQueary in a lawsuit deposition in a lawsuit brought by McQueary against Penn State where he ended up getting a $7M+ judgement. And if he had to drag Greg Schiano through the mud to get it.. so be it. He told this story in 2016 and never before he needed it for his lawsuit. He did not tell this story to police.. he did not tell this story in the Louis Freeh investigation.
    And that Vols fans would USE this "story" to force their AD to back out of hiring Greg Schiano... DISGUSTING. How many more people now believe this story simply because it was used in this way?
    You are 100% correct.. ROYALLY SCREWED OVER. I hope Greg Schiano sues them all. The rock-painter.. Sarah Huckabee Sanders.. everyone who repeats these lies and even expends upon them. Hell, Schiano should sue to have that rock exploded.

    It is with great sadness I write to you to voice my displeasure at the actions you have taken Mr. Currie. It would appear, on the surface, that you have deliberately misinformed (at best) the faithful followers of UT Football. We, as fans, are a passionate group and can be prone to outburst. However, the events of the coaching search cannot be ignored by the administration at Tennessee. The statement allegedly released by you was an insult to everyone who believed you could bring UT football back to glory. Your reference to "getting to know Greg Schiano" would insinuate you are hiring your friend to be the coach. This would appear to be a case of malfeasance on your part Mr Currie and would be an utter failure to perform due diligence in the search for the next football coach. It gives the appearance that you are merely a puppet to one of the boosters and not a man of integrity. It places a large stain on your image as AD and a stain on the university as a whole.
    The situation that transpired this weekend was unacceptable. The actions taken to ignore any established protocol and simply go after one candidate, (who appears to be a close friend of yours) is short sighted and possibly damaging to the integrity of UT.
    I urge to not to ignore the pleas of the countless numbers of fans and take action Mr Currie. To ignore the fans is to cut off the life blood of the university. I implore you to resign your position as AD at once.
    While I do not claim to be an expert at hiring coaches, I am a loyal fan of UT. I want the best for the university and I want to continue my pride in the university.

    The thing that these tennessee fans don't understand is that its deeper than just coaching. What are you going to do for entertainment when you're not coaching?? Knoxville is a CEMETERY, there's absolutely NOTHING to do there. And the local sports shows do nothing but lie to the public, filling their minds with UNREALISTIC goals. This is a next year's team. Next year we're going to do this, next year we're going to do that. And you end up at 6 and 6 like always. The volunteer fanbase is PITIFUL They obviously hate to deal with the truth that they will never get a big-time coach because Knoxville has never been a big-time City. These men have wives and kids. Do you think they would pass up cities like Los Angeles Houston Dallas Chicago Miami to come to nothing-ass graveyard called Knoxville?????

    Death penalty for Penn State? Definitely not. Don't punish the entire team for unknowingly being associated with a child molester

      JEFFREY
      The death penalty has only been handed to schools and programs that cheated. Point shaving, recruiting, there was even a soccer team using former professional players. Don't get me wrong, it's disgusting what he did, but it was not a sports scandal. It was a coach scandal. If only one other coach knew, it's not death penalty worthy

      Fat Rugged Stacks he said they should get the death penalty for the way the handled it, not just the simple fact that the guy was there

      Joe Pa was Penn State football. Penn State football turned a blind eye to a child molester. Shoulda got the death penalty.

      It most definitely involved sports cheating. How many top recruits would've signed with Penn State had they known Sandusky was molesting boys and had an office in the athletic center? Why didn't Paterno tell prospective athletes and parents about this? He cheated them, plain and simple. The death penalty was needed to shock the delusional Penn State fans into reality. No death sentence was invoked. Ask Penn State fans about Paterno and all you hear is delusional crying. No lesson learned.
