Russian audiences seem to sit quietly in their seats while an artist performs, but they come prepared to shower their singers with bouquets of flowers which shows their appreciation. American audiences whoop and clap in the middle of songs which can interrupt the flow. Different culture.. A middle ground is perfect. A bit of applause when something amazing has happened but to quickly quieten down to let the song proceed. I went to the concert in Latvia and the audience let Dimash sing the song, but then gave rapturous applause.

You might be a little bit correct about how he may take on emotions from others or from the song. He says he is a worrier, that he worries all the time. He immediately rushes to help if he sees someone in need whether it be an old lady struggling to walk or a small child trying to reach him through a crowd. He has a big, loving, generous heart. He many times becomes overwhelmed during his performance of certain songs or at certain times in concerts. He lives the emotion of the songs. It's like method acting - but in singing. His singing idol Lara Fabian does the same in her live performances (eg Je Suis Malade th-cam.com/video/dVvlmpo5g9k/w-d-xo.html) and he has learnt a lot from her. Dimash knows how important it is to connect with the emotions so that the audience can feel it with him. In The Singer competition Alai his mentor explained that he does not sing high notes to show off, but rather to express his emotions fully. He is also funny, cheerful and silly and loves to joke and mess around so it's not all sad!!
The stuttering tremelo that Dimash does in this song is an example of Caccini's trillo - a highly speeded up sound where the voice sings two different notes alternately. Also heard in traditional music from the Middle East and Central Europe. This was said to be part of a Kazakh funeral song in honor of the band's previous singer and co-composer who passed away some years before.

Hello, I’m from Brazil! For those who like information about Dimas' songs: The story behind this song is very interesting: The band that accompanies Dimash is the same one that composed the song, without the singer who died after a heart attack! The band is also from Kazakhstan and this performance by Dimash revitalized the song. In addition, the final part he added, with an oriental technique. The song was originally performed in 1998 and the band's name is A'Studio (Russian-based Kazakhstani pop music group, "Alma-Ata Studio", city of Almaty). The dead singer (to whom Dimash was a fan) left the band in 2000 and passed away in 2015 and his name was Batyrkhan Shukenov. The lyrics are by the poet Ilia Reznik together with Baigaly Serkebayev, who is the keyboardist with long hair, which we see in the video accompanying Dimash.

Dimash Kudabergen, living legend, genius singer, one in a million, no, one in a billion. With 23 years of classical training, he has become a unique vocalist. He has an amazing musical education, all the technical details he sings and uses, he knows how it works. He is musical perfection. There is no technical detail that he doesn't have, no one has ever had such talent and skills, he can be bass, baritone, tenor, counter tenor, alto, mezzo soprano, soprano and so on, he sings in 15 languages, he has the biggest range . He sings many genres, opera, pop, rap and so on. In addition to the talent that God gave, the work that he did is amazing. From the age of 5, he dedicated his life to music, did everything to develop it (swimming in the pool, breathing control, range, healthy lifestyle)He is an amazingly humble, warm simple man, apart from his musical excellence, as a person he is an amazing person. His songs are exceptionally complex both technically and emotionally, he is able to properly develop emotion in music both vocally and artistry.Dimash has fans (called dears) from 150 countries around the world. I'd say her fans are special because we don't love Dina because she has good looks (well, she's very attractive and cute) or because her performances are fun (unlike other pretend singers who are more performers than singers and vocalists). We love him because of the talent he has, because of the work he has done almost all his life. He deserves everything. There is no other singer who can be compared to him, he is at the apogee of development. He plays 7 instruments, loves the culture of his country and wants to introduce it to the world. As I already wrote, he is very educated, he is still studying. he has 2 degrees in classical and contemporary, and on the way to a doctorate in musicology.Dimash has an incredible range that no one has ever had, full range 7.7 octaves, from G0 to D8. ( D8 whistle note , off the piano) Has very good details, staccato, distinctive vibrato, rifs, melizens, vocal acrobatic, glissando, crescendo, dominoendo, long notes, breath control, correct tesitura, Able to develop emotion properly, fit roles well . Uses professional technique, Italian Bell Canto technique. In his song it feels like he is a professional even without high notes.Unfortunately, as always, geniuses are appreciated late, this guy deserves much, much more recognition, I hope the time will come and he will be properly appreciated. I also want to mention that Dimash is like a drug. I have been listening to him for the third year, I can't imagine a day without listening to him, he is the best, not because he sings high notes and has a great range, but because he enters the soul with his song and you feel something you have never felt before. .But if we consider it from a technical point of view, in this case too
Dimash is the best. As vocal teachers and professionals say, her singing is technical perfection.Dimash's parents are singers, his mother is a soprano, his father is a singer and also a producer, as far as I know, Dimash's grandparents are singers, so from a musical point of view, Dinash has good genetics, he has a natural innate talent, which he developed after 23 years of work, and we have a unique singer in front of us. I could probably write a lot more, but I'll stop now, I want more people to know about him, believe me, you won't regret it. I hope I conveyed what I wanted to say correctly.

The vocal cords are 2 tiny muscles that move & stretch when we push air through them creating our voice tone. Dimash has worked out his vocal cords since age 5.

I made the exact same comment some time about the 2 women whom I thought were incredibly rude and was told that the one with dark hair is Igor Krutoy's ex or current wife and is actually a 'lovely' person. Igor is the man who stood up and applauded - a famous Russian composer who, having witnessed this performance of Dimash's, made a decision to come out of retirement to collaborate with Dimash. Together they are beyond magnificent. Out of all (100s) of reactors so far that i have listened to, I rate you at the top - every nuance and detail that amazes you and that you mention, is what amazes me about Dimash. You noticed and mentioned them all! 🤗👏

  • @martinhafner2201

More people should stand? It's okay, the tall bald guy in the white shirt is standing. That's all that matters. Igor Krutoy was tipped about Dimash, so he came to hear him live. He's a billionaire musician/composer/producer and went on to arrange and write songs for Dimash such as Love Is Like A Dream, Ogni Pietra and Stranger. Besides, they're Russian and are more reserved. It would be rude to make a bunch of noise at the concert, so they just gave him all their flowers instead.
The song Sinful Passion (Greshnaya Strast in Russian), was written and performed by this same Kazakh band, A-Studio, back when Dimash was about 4, so he grew up hearing their music, including this song. Now he's singing with them! After the song he thanked them for writing the song and being a great musical influence to young people (such as himself).

About the language - most of the songs he sings aren’t written by him, he uses good songs to showcase his voice so he does a lot of covers. This one is in Russian but you see the title in English because globalization. Dimash wrote about 10 songs himself, most of them in Kazakh and a couple in English and Chinese

👉Dimash's deep and gentle voice... I melt away. What a wonderful song, wonderfully sung by Dimash. Did you hold your breath? 🤣 The final run was 23 seconds with one breath. 👏👏👏
The glottal - stops is a throat singing technique called "bleating" used by the indigenous peoples of the Far East - another example: Diana Ankudinova - th-cam.com/video/EmMxOv5MtyE/w-d-xo.html
Dimash sings here as a guest on the New Wave 2018 (international competition). Igor Krutoy, the man in the white shirt at the end, a famous Russian composer, music titan and initiator of the New Wave had invited him. Now, both are a "Dreamteam" and work together from time to time. They are friends, have a father-son-relationship.
... and of course Dimash donates the many flowers to hospitals and retirement homes.
The band that Dimash accompanies at this performance called A’Studio, who composed and performed “Sinful Passion” in 1998. The band is also from Kazakhstan (Dimash's homeland) and this Dimash performance has revived the song.
    Original: A'STUDIO - Грешная страсть - th-cam.com/video/CN9fHwhna_M/w-d-xo.html

This song was originally done by a group called "A Studio". They are assisting Dimash here on stage. He pays homage to the lead singer who passed away with the Chant he does during this song which is a Kazakh tradition when someone passes away. He thanks A Studio in the end of video. Dimash is simply amazing!

  • @ankwm
    @ankwm 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

He is 28y old... You did not understand the lyrics but you were right: he is pleading: "give me, let me burn in a sinful passion" (if I remember the translation). This is is most impressive talent: his ability to move the audience, even if you don't understand a single word of the song. You should react to Olimpico (th-cam.com/video/dkPS6t84qg4/w-d-xo.html) and you will see a very different character, this song - written for him. by Igor Krutoy (nobody else could sing it, honestly), is a masterpiece! Or Autumn strong (the 1st time he sung it was at the Singer competition, he learnt the song in Chinese phonetically in 1 week, and people cried in the crowd... my favorite version is the Arnau one, there is an incredible silence in all the stadium, completely crazy).
Thanks for your reactions to Dimash's performances, he never disappoints, because he is an absolute genius.

Me encantan tus reacciones!

I understand that Russian audiences don't stand up but rather just respectfully applaud, it's apparently a cultural thing although difficult to understand since audiences virtually everywhere else in the world are motivated to stand when they see and hear something spectacular.

Hi, Doug...I wrote about this, then read your comment and deleted mine. You said it so much better. Interestingly, one of the few people who stood up was Igor Krutoy, famous in himself, who came out of retirement to work with Dimash on subsequent material. Robert, UK.

@@2eleven48 I believe Igor has lived in New York much of the time and has had an opportunity to see how it's done there, thus his motivation to stand even in Russia where it is not common. And, of course, working with artists who have performed all over Europe as well, there have been plenty of standing ovations in Igor's experience. He gets it, even if the bulk of Russian audiences do not.

@@nagimaoteuli62 Yes, there is that to consider as well, I do understand-----although if a performance is worthy of a standing ovation, EVERYONE should be standing. Exactly. No-one on the planet can sing like Dimash. He's trained to the n'th degree in EVERY aspect of vocal production & control & every Genre - daily - for over 20 years already!
+ He keeps improving - on himself! Also, he had a genetic 'leg up' with both parents being professional singers, but vocal coaches all over the world are now saying we can't BE Dimash - but we can LEARN from him. It's a choice about being discouraged or inspired!
We now start to describe the world of the vocalist in two 'era's. 'Pre-Dimash' & 'Post-Dimash'. We now extend our ideas about what may be possible with the human voice. There are plenty of people who are also born genetically gifted - but each voice is unique. It's also about dedication & commitment to one's craft.
Dimash also works out - like an Olympic level athlete - to build his core (whole body} strength, not only his diaphragm. You can see the variety of ways he 'sets' & shifts his posture to gain the power to produce & maintain those notes. Dimash also extends his lung capacity via lots of swimming. So, when people remark on 'how effortless' this appears - they don't always appreciate just how much effort goes into making it seem so!
    Keep enjoying Dimash. 😊👍

Understanding the lyrics makes a huge difference in conveying emotion of any piece of music performed.
The only performance i can think of for Dimash where his demeanor performing Opera 2. I was delightfully confused.

Not only does Dimash give us this crazy vocal acrobatics at the end of the song, he holds his breath for 23 seconds. while doing this. If you watch the video to the end, you will see the audience standing up and some running on stage to give Dimash flowers. The audience respects and adores him so much. Thank you so much for your always wonderful response to Dimash's songs. Sinful Passion is one of my absolute favorite songs.

Ah, well, apparently, in Russian culture one does not express emotions, though it’s changing now. You should see the recital he did for the police or military or something in Moscow, wow, frozen claps. Yet you could tell for instance, one lady in uniform, from her eyes, how much she was moved by his performance.
Here, in the first row, the bald man in the white shirt who gave Dimash a standing ovation is Igor Krutoy, a famous Russian songwriter who went on to collaborate with Dimash with award-winning songs.
The “Qaddafi on the piano” is the song’s composer, part of the Kazakh group/band A-Studio who was popular a couple of decades ago. The lead singer died.

DIMASH IS AMAZING! it hits different for me, because he sings in my native language, and I understand everything, so I can say for sure that with translation it sounds even more powerful!
btw, I know it's off topic, but I would like to recommend you a song by ATEEZ - Guerrilla, which was recently released. You haven't heard this group yet, but this track is so powerful that I literally want to see you shake your head to it!! (and some of them was part of mayfly, which u listen to in patreon, they are very good friends with stray kids)

You haven't seen anything yet... This man is the eighth wonder of the world I subscribe to continue replying to Dimash, ❤Music, and the King of Hearts, Dimash his nickname and his real name is "Din Muhammad"., It's the abbreviation of Dimash, and Cody Bergen means "God Gave Him". Dimash Kudabergen, living legend, genius singer, one in a million, no, one in a billion. With 23 years of classical training, he has become a unique singer. He has an amazing musical education, all the technical details that he sings and uses, he knows how to work. It is musical perfection. There are no technical details that he does not possess, and no one has such talent and skills, it can be bass, baritone, tenor, counter tenor, alto, mezzo-soprano, soprano etc., issings in 15 languages, he has the biggest range . He sings many genres, opera, pop, rap and so on. In addition to the talent that God gave, the work that he did is amazing. From the age of 5, he dedicated his life to music, did everything to develop it All his amazing songs blow your mind that he is an artist from another dimension that will make you addicted to his voice, art and music that he is simply a genius of this century,, Dimash. He speaks Kazakh, English and Turkish, Russian and a little Mandarin Chinese, was born in 1994, his height is 192 centimeters. He has a very serious musical education since his childhood. Dimash is interested in oriental philosophy Legendary music artist. He is the king of emotions on stage. He has incredibly great technique, and a unique voice covering over 7, he's a convinced straight guy. Despite his immense popularity, he is not a spoiled man. On a human level,,in personal life - very modest, kind-hearted, educated, good and honest, never consumed, never smoked, neither alcohol nor drugs. His popularity began in Kazakhstan, he participated in the program "I am the singer" in China, and his star rose all over the world(Good at sports. He practiced swimming and martial arts and has a black belt in Taekwondo. Able to swim and ride horses. swimming in the pool, breathing control, range, healthy lifestyle)He is an amazingly humble, warm simple man, apart from his musical excellence, as a person he is an amazing person. His songs are exceptionally complex both technically and emotionally, he is able to properly develop emotion in music both vocally and artistry.Dimash has fans (called dears) from 150 countries around the world. she has good looks In Fans of all religions, cultures and nationalities, it is world music (well, she's very attractive and cute) or because her performances are fun (unlike other pretend singers who are more performers than singers and vocalists). I have been listening to him for the third year, I can't imagine a day without listening to him, he is the best, not because he sings high notes and has a great range, but because he enters the soul with his song and you feel something you have never felt before. .But if we consider it from a technical point of view, in this case too Dimash is the best. As vocal teachers and professionals say, her singing is technical perfection. I could probably write a lot more, but I'll stop now, I want more people to know about him, believe me, you won't regret it. I hope I conveyed what I wanted to say correctly. , His presence is so powerful and unwavering on stage, he is compared by some to the god of music, sometimes a prince or king, the energy he absorbs from the universe, how he anchors himself to the earth, and his connection to the god, all at the same time. The place gives him the strength and confidence to "arrange the audience, orchestra and song", so that everything turns out the way he wants and how Dimash feels, this is unique. All of these qualities are only present in Dimash, for sure. The goosebumps and hypnosis caused by Dimash are the hallmarks of his concerts and appearances on stage, shaped by his infinite beauty, sometimes transparent, sometimes sensual, sometimes angelic. Dimash storm, thunder, lightning, sun, rain, smile,🤗❤salam 🙏to you

Great performance by Dimash! The audience in the hall and through the TV screen was in a daze for a long time. Thanks for the reaction! It was very interesting. I know, right? We would have all been on our feet for sure.Different culture.Great reaction, subscribed!Wish we didn't have to wait so long for more Dimash reactions! He was born in 1994,so 28 now.He is certainly getting even better,so can't wait to see you reacting to more!A bog one would be 'Stranger'(can be a little tough with copyright,so be careful, blur it).Ave Maria is a definite Must,as are his kazakh folksongs, like Samaltau(Tokio Jazz Festival version) and 'Give me Love'.Beautiful language...that said, everything sounds beautiful when Dimash sings it...like you said, his diction is so perfect, makes everything sound incredible!Greetings not from Kazakhstan, but from Ireland!

"Gaddafi" is the founder of A'Studio band, great Qazaq musician, his name is Baigali Serkebayev, his father is also greatest musician - Yermek Serkebayev. A'Studio's soloist has passed away few years ago and vibrato folkloric sound is traditional Qazaq funeral singing.
