The band named A'Studio that accompanies Dimash, is the same one that composed the song minus the lead singer named Batyrkhan Shukenov, who died of a heart attack in 2015. The song was originally performed in 1998 and the lyrics are by the poet Ilia Reznik together with Baigaly Serkebayev, (the keyboardist with long hair, which we see in the video accompanying Dimash.) The tones in the middle are oriental Arab technique (or traditional qazaq singing, called Joqtaw. It is a lament to the deceased singer). The last run is on 1 breath.

This is my new favourite version of this song now. You’re right, it does not matter what language he sings, if you listen, a journey begins and 4,5, 6 minutes goes by so quickly. Then as the song finish, you find yourself back on earth somehow. I've been scrolling down on your videos, I don't see a playlist with Dimash's name on it, but I'll have a look at your inventory. Wonderful reaction. I agree that this is a "powerful" performance. Here's another recommendation: I have always liked Dimash's version of "Opera 2". It is a cover of a Vitas song (Vitas is a Russian singer), and it has been controversial because Vitas banned Dimash from singing it again. It would be interesting to see what you think of it.

Hey Greg great reaction as usual. You should do his cover of Show must go on by Queen. Or Daybreak tho I would recommend subtitles with that one. Daybreak is based on a true story and he conveys the emotions masterfully! You might also enjoy Screaming and Be with me to get a taste of his fluidity in music. They are both more pop.
