What makes Dimash the best in the world isn't just his vocal talents, it's the whole experience of him. There isn't a dishonest note in his body, you fully believe each and every song, and the degree with which he pours himself into each and every piece pulls you in so hard.
His ability to make you emotionally involved with his actions relating to the words of the songs is phenomenal. He is the one and only. I still get tears in my eyes even though I've watched him since April 2017
His absolute powerful and unshakable presence on stage, compared by some to a god of music, sometimes to a prince or king, the energy he absorbs from the Universe, then how he anchors himself to the Earth, his connection with the Divinity, all at a place, it gives him the strength and confidence to "command the audience, to order the orchestra, to order the song", so that everything comes out the way he wants and how Dimash feels, that is unique. He isent JUST singing becouse he IS the songs at the moment he sings them!!! He makes everything his own. Also he heals people with his voice! I hade just discovered him in 2020 when I got really sick do to a infection in my leg and almost died! I whent to the hospitol and was there for almost 3 weeks and the first 3 dayes or so al I can remember is his voice! My best friend had taken my computer to me so I could listen to his songs. The doctors told me I should have been dead becouse thats how sick I was. I still struggel with everything to gett back as normal as it can bee. I also have many nay outher illneses seens I was a Child. I have lost my will to live some times and alwyeas music have brought me back! I hope I some day can experiens Dimash live some day but dout it becouse it would be a mirical if I could even afford it and also travel to the consert Becous it will take time to gett him to Sweden!!! I cant afford eating right even so to go to his consert is kinda impossible but he seams to do mirakal so who knows! There are one outher woman I heard about to that had canser I think and was gonna die and she heard Dimash and she thought for a last time do something fun and did go to Kazakhstan and listen to Dimash. Dimash invetide her to his home!!!! After that tripp her cancer got verry good and she lives still. I hope she recovers completley. Diamsh dosent wanna hear that he heals outhers but his voice is doing that. I think thats the biggest good thing to happen to an artist that people gett well and do to his voice and as a good human and respectfullness gets many moore fans to! The worl need someone lie Dimash know!! He hate wars and just wanna have peace to everyone. He gives a lot to charityes to and so does his fans!!! This is a famous French song from the rock opera "Starmania." There were two other beloved French singers who sang this before Dimash but, unfortunately, they have both passed away. The last one is from genetic illness. This is the first song Dimash sang on the competition show: The Singer" in China, making him an overnight phenom. I liked that performance more because it was so pure and he was nervous because no one knew anything about him, not even what he looked like other than the show's sponsors. He was the first foreigner to be invited and the youngest only 22 yrs. old in the show's history. The show was for Chinese singers who already had recordings and established careers. After his first performance, there was no looking back for Dimash.

He was a wild card and the first to appear on stage singing S.O.S (old version) He improved so much along the years. This guy is only 28 years old but, has the knowledge, experience and the ability to convey what he is feeling and brings you into his world when he sings. "SOS (of an earthling in distress)" (in top 5 most difficult french songs) was performed previously by Daniel Balavoine, and also by Gregory Lemarchal (a young french singer who died because of cystic fibrosis affecting his lungs). Dimash made a cover of 'SOS', and it gradually became his "calling card". 🔸A bit of background of Dimash`s performances of "SOS": Since 2018, Dimash added more and more emotion and weight to "SOS", turning it into a more and more important tribute / lament / goodbye : in 2017 and before - singing it aware of Gregory Lemarchal`s tragic fate (who performed this song with the voice of an angel even though he only had 20% lung capacity left - cystic fibrosis that took his life at 23), Dimash left out some lyrics, like "J`ai pas tire le bon numero = I didn`t get the right number"(at the lottery of the universe), out of respect and because it didn`t fit his life, like it fit Gregory`s tragic destiny. (I know that people kept including that phrase in the subtitles, making viewers think that Dimash is singing the wrong thing, or forgot the lyrics, or mumbles the pronunciation, but he never actually included it in his version ; after the "the lottery of the universe" - kept for the dip into low range - he went straight to 'Si jamais c'était plus beau' [if ever it was more beautiful]) So he kept only some of the lyrics, giving the song a stripped down, philosophical meaning, a larger "lament for humanity" meaning, and a "goodbye" meaning, dedicated to people, artists, "pulled away by waves from another world" at a young age.

I've heard that his parents (both of whom are accomplished singers), particularly his Mom, worry about the emotional tax upon him because he so invests emotionally in his singing. First time I heard DQ at the recommendation of a friend was SOS from 2017 the Singer comp. I sobbed like a baby, my jaw dropped to the floor as I sat there mesmerized watching this being from another world sing....I could not believe what I was hearing or seeing, how was this possible??? And to this day, 4 years since I First discovered DQ, I continue to be moved to tears repeatedly and blown away!! thanks for reviewing this great artist!

As you continue with Dimash, you will see many times a smiling Dimash and then boom, he goes into character. Only a couple of times have fans shouted something that broke the character and made him laugh. His concert are so much fun because you are going to get everything, different genres, different languages, different cultures, dancing, lights, and then Dimash himself is incredible responsive to the crowd, very genuine, and appreciative. He is most likely the security nightmare because he usually manages to end up off the stage so he can get close to the fans. Plus he is a very tall man and he has been to known to run and security just keeps up the best they can. One of his best is Ikanaide, which is in Japanese but just from a studio due to covid restrictions. He was performing for the Tokyo Jazz Festival. Even in studio, he goes right into character and you will literally hold your breath. He starts soft, he builds to an explosion and then he gentle puts you back on the ground.

This is a famous French song from the rock opera "Starmania." There were two other beloved French singers who sang this before Dimash but, unfortunately, they have both passed away. The last one is from genetic illness. This is the first song Dimash sang on the competition show: The Singer" in China, making him an overnight phenom. I liked that performance more because it was so pure and he was nervous because no one knew anything about him, not even what he looked like other than the show's sponsors. He was the first foreigner to be invited and the youngest only 22 yrs. old in the show's history. The show was for Chinese singers who already had recordings and established careers. After his first performance, there was no looking back for Dimash.

I love your reactions to Dimash. You must check some of his old stuff. He was a contestant on a Chines show called "The Singer" (2017) . He was a wild card and the first to appear on stage singing S.O.S (old version) He improved so much along the years. This guy is only 28 years old but, has the knowledge, experience and the ability to convey what he is feeling and brings you into his world when he sings. You'll be blown away if you listen to him singing Ave Maria. A piece of art song by a master. Bless you and have a happy day.

"SOS (of an earthling in distress)" (in top 5 most difficult french songs) was performed previously by Daniel Balavoine, and also by Gregory Lemarchal (a young french singer who died because of cystic fibrosis affecting his lungs). Dimash made a cover of 'SOS', and it gradually became his "calling card".
🔸A bit of background of Dimash`s performances of "SOS": Since 2018, Dimash added more and more emotion and weight to "SOS", turning it into a more and more important tribute / lament / goodbye : in 2017 and before - singing it aware of Gregory Lemarchal`s tragic fate (who performed this song with the voice of an angel even though he only had 20% lung capacity left - cystic fibrosis that took his life at 23), Dimash left out some lyrics, like "J`ai pas tire le bon numero = I didn`t get the right number"(at the lottery of the universe), out of respect and because it didn`t fit his life, like it fit Gregory`s tragic destiny. After 2018 - Dimash turned "SOS" into a tribute and goodbye to his friend Denis Ten, young kazakh figure skater, murdered by thieves at age 25. He had skated to "SOS", and they were planning to do a "duet" performance, but they never got to do that, Denis was killed. In his London concert (2018) and Arnau Kazakhstan (2019), Dimash had images of Denis playing on the big stage screens. In London he left the stage after 'SOS', took a break to gather himself. In Arnau Kazakhstan concert, he invited Denis` parents to the concert and dedicated the song to them as well.
Since 2018-2019 : "SOS" has become a tribute to Denis, and music icons that died young : Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Freddie Mercury, George Michael etc., and images of them roll on the big stage screens as well.
Aside from a tribute-goodbye to precious people who died young, he also sings this song as a lament for the world, tragic events that make us want to be a bird, hoping this painful world would be better seen from above : sometimes images of tragic events roll on the screens - the burning of Notre Dame, cities destroyed by natural disasters, pandemic etc.
This is how his performance of 'SOS' became heavier and more emotional with time.

The part with the exclusion of some lyrics was my guess, based on the fact that Dimash knew about Gregory`s fate - he died in 2007, and Dimash started singing 'SOS' in 2015 (winning Slaviansky Bazaar Grand Prize with it, and 2 other songs). We know that Dimash does his research about the history of the songs that he covers.
"[At the lottery of the universe] I didn`t get the right number = j'ai pas tire le bon numero" fit Gregory`s tragic destiny, sentenced to live with (and eventually die of) cystic fibrosis, an incurable, genetic condition.
My guess is that Dimash didn`t include that for maybe several reasons : musicality can be one, but also, it didn`t fit his life, (like it fit Gregory`s), as he has many blessings in his life, for which he is extremely grateful, and family love and support on top of that.
(I know that people kept including that phrase in the subtitles, making viewers think that Dimash is singing the wrong thing, or forgot the lyrics, or mumbles the pronunciation, but he never actually included it in his version ; after the "the lottery of the universe" - kept for the dip into low range - he went straight to 'Si jamais c'était plus beau' [if ever it was more beautiful])
So he kept only some of the lyrics, giving the song a stripped down, philosophical meaning, a larger "lament for humanity" meaning, and a "goodbye" meaning, dedicated to people, artists, "pulled away by waves from another world" at a young age.

I've heard that his parents (both of whom are accomplished singers), particularly his Mom, worry about the emotional tax upon him because he so invests emotionally in his singing. First time I heard DQ at the recommendation of a friend was SOS from 2017 the Singer comp. I sobbed like a baby, my jaw dropped to the floor as I sat there mesmerized watching this being from another world sing....I could not believe what I was hearing or seeing, how was this possible??? And to this day, 4 years since I First discovered DQ, I continue to be moved to tears repeatedly and blown away!! thanks for reviewing this great artist!

As you continue with Dimash, you will see many times a smiling Dimash and then boom, he goes into character. Only a couple of times have fans shouted something that broke the character and made him laugh. His concert are so much fun because you are going to get everything, different genres, different languages, different cultures, dancing, lights, and then Dimash himself is incredible responsive to the crowd, very genuine, and appreciative. He is most likely the security nightmare because he usually manages to end up off the stage so he can get close to the fans. Plus he is a very tall man and he has been to known to run and security just keeps up the best they can. One of his best is Ikanaide, which is in Japanese but just from a studio due to covid restrictions. He was performing for the Tokyo Jazz Festival. Even in studio, he goes right into character and you will literally hold your breath. He starts soft, he builds to an explosion and then he gentle puts you back on the ground.
Yes I was able to attend his concert in New York City in 2019 and he was everything she said he was!!

You said you hope Dimash doesn’t feel the sentiments of the song, but he does. Every song he does he emotes(gets into the character of the song or becomes the song so that you feel what he feels. As far back as I can g with this song is 15 yrs old. I’ve asked myself what happened t Dimash? This song is literally abut suicide. It’s his signature song. Though all the people involved with the song hav passed some tragically Dimash made it his songs. A young male pop singer from France sang it he died of a disease as a young man. The song is from a French Rock Opera Starmania.you can tell from Dimashs emotion that he feels the song. Yes, he acts yes he has a cryi his voice. But he makes himself vulnerable at the end where he is in the middle of the floor scrunching himself into a small position belting and crying with his voice.I’ve wondered what happened to dimas as a young man to pickthiss song. Dimash sings in 15 languages. That’s what he would have done when he heard the song….he would have translated it.so yes he does feel the song.there’s a word call intercede in religious Prayer for a person who prays to God for a person because the person can’t pray for themselves.
