Dr. White Lotus legend has it dps queue goes faster when you’re in the middle of a cutscene
As a dps player, I can say this is true. Ive been caught jamming out to the soundtrack and "miss" my queue lmao
That does happen, but mostly DPS queue pops while I'm in the middle of FATE grinding with a completely different DPS class.
Could also be, we know dps queue is so dang long so we're off doing other things. Often ill prepared for the queue to pop. :P
@@SauceyNoodle it is known that dps queue pops the moment samurai applies their dot and needs to switch to something else

the ShB field battle music is one of the very very very few tracks i dislike - and for shadowbringers especially, it really doesn't fit the field themes imho

I feel this deep in my soul, the music in FF14, especially shadowbringers, is utterly incredible. I turned off non boss battle music and riding themes just to hear more of it.

The original video is from lenaar he does skits and stuff, throughout the years he's incorporated a consistent progression in his editing skills. Used to only use props in his bedroom haha

I have just gotten into ffxiv and all I can say is, I know I have a long way to go but, I am beyond excited to get there now.
Enjoy the ride, it may get boring at times but stick through it and you will have an amazing time!
@@dannya1316 They've streamlined ARR a lot now. It's still a bit talky because it has to set up the conflict going forward and they can't really change that without messing with the story though. Either way, it'll save a few hours of MSQ.
I just started the free trial and i hate to say it but....im already getting extremely bored. I wanted to like it.
@@orugnet ARR only really starts getting going at around 2.4 or so before shit hits the fan in 2.55. It's Heavensward (3.0) onward where the story gets really good.
@@orugnet The game isn't for everyone and that's okay. The first expansion doesn't compare to the rest in my opinion, it does get better later on. If you find yourself not liking it though it's okay! At least you're giving it a shot :)

LOVE the glasses, and the queue pop was legendary. This might be my favorite FFXIV related thing in a long time. Song totally slaps too, when I first walked into amh araeng I honestly just stood there for a while listening to the theme. 11/10.
I know exactly how you feel. I chosen to seek out Alise at the beginning of the expansion. Boy was I glad I chose that because I was coming home from a stressful work. As soon as I heard the music, I was mellow yellow and just enjoyed the rest of the deaths in the MSQ to come.
And the revivals of the characters 2 quests later, you forgot that bit.

I also chose Alisaie first and all the talk you get from Tesleen were "Alisaie had been desperate to see you" and when you finally got to meet her the first thing you'll hear from her is "Oh, it's you" lmao

you can change that problem in your song menu, if i remember ^^ you can change that for no swap song when your in batle (sorry if i don't explain well but you can travel the world, get chase and don't have the swap song all the time in yout sound menu)

Dude, after finishing Gyr Abania, I was over any sort of desert-like environment for a while -- so I was NOT looking forward to doing Amh Araeng. But then the track for it kicked in and it all changed. Love that zone's music so much.

I remember seeing this video in my recommended quite a few months ago and I believe I watched it, but since I was only on HW I didn't understand the full context. After finishing SB a few days ago and having heard Amh Araeng's music firsthand, I can now fully appreciate this video for what it is. I enjoyed Amh Areang's ost so much in fact that I would intentionally try to dodge enemies as to not get interrupted by the battle theme.

Amh Areng and it's music feel so otherworldly. Like we're standing amidst the ruins and ghosts of once great civilisation. The music makes you feel like there was something grand here once, before the Flood destroyed it all and left little more than rubble and nigh forgotten memories in it's wake.
This music is SOOOOOO beautiful and chill. Hellfire, the entire soundtrack is simply amazing!]:3

I can be swept off me feet wit SB's ost, but when I hear foundations theme or Sohm Al, for example, it really takes me back to an epic time. And even back further, the the ARR version, my original version of Answers hits me to the core with the emotional dept and the electric guitar is just, perfect.
To SB's credit, it made the music a bit more fantasy-like and revved it up with the rock. The main theme struck the foundation like a far greater mega flare and shook the world. Holminster Switch is a fine example of the fusion between rock and orchestra and the boss theme, oh the boss themes melody is so striking. Such harmony in the vocals and the drama withing. I guess I'm on the fence, but moving forward, SE really needs to up the ante for the next expansion. I expect many great things, that and thx for your response. Rock on my friend, rock on!]:3

Sands of Amber is probably one of the best works within Shadowbringers, or just in FFXIV in general. I like to walk along the the barren lands while just listening or fly with my mount on auto.
Just discovered Amh Araeng yesterday. Accurate portrait.
I remember arriving to Ahm Areng right after coming to Norvrandt and all, it was almost dreamlike with the story so far... Then the fight music woke me up in a spasm.
And then... Tesleen...
I 100% LOVE this track. When I first heard it I was genuinely just caught off guard by the smooth groove of it. I'm a huge fan of EDM, and grew up listening to Enigma for years. So this slotted right into that kind of vibe for me. I was genuinely disheartened when I brought the shadow back to this zone, because it meant that the daytime track wouldn't always be playing every time I came through.
Was a great theme tune... They all were! I have to be honest, though, I'm not entirely sure I remember the furniture humming to me... but I was certainly grooving 😁

This is so very accurate. When I first was going through the story in ahm araengh, i loved the music so much that it is the sole reason that I decided to turn off the music that plays when you are mounted. Because I hated interrupting the music every time I wanted to go somewhere.
