    Received 2 P365XL grip modules from Wilson Combat today. They do not offer the FDE color with a manual safety cut out. So I got a guide jig from Osage County Guns for cutting same with a dremmel tool and of course the jig won’t fit in the grip module because it is thicker polymer near the right rear corner than a standard Sig grip. So you have to trim down the jig or try something else. I had another Sig P365 XL grip module with the ms cut outs, so I put the 2 grips side by side and put a 3/32” Allen wrench through the holes at the rear of them to line them up and clipped them together about half way with steel spring clips. Then used the old grip ms cut outs as a guide to dremmel out the new. Worked great. However, while doing this I noticed that the new Wilson grips are Soo thin in the corners where the sides meet the front that I could see light through them. This is very concerning, and I plan on contacting Wilson Combat customer service about this. Both grip modules are like this

      @@firearmsinsight I talked to Wilson Combat customer service today. They said they had never heard of this before and asked me to send them pictures. It was pretty difficult to get a good shot of the thin areas, but got a couple of fairly good ones and sent them over. We’ll see what happens next

      I own the XL, but i think if I had to do it all over I would have gotten the X. Shorter slide, but not sacrificing the longer grip. Great choice!

      I run standard P365 with 12 round main, essentially the same length as an XL grip and has the baseplate. 15 rounder as my backup and two more 12 rounders in my vehicle, because at that point, already in some shit.

    UPDATE: I have received the WC grip module and it is WAY better than stock grip. The trigger group was tricky to install. I need to silicone in the tungsten rods next, but am very happy with this pistol now. My S&W Shield may be sold soon at this rate. Thanks!

    Mine are supposed to be delivered tomorrow morning. I bought both the 365 and the XL and the P320 but the 320 I have is a 40cal. But I ordered the grip module for the P320 9mm so now I have to change the Fire Group also the Barrel to the 9mm. And the bad thing is I actually ordered the P320 Grip Module in June15,2021 but didn’t receive it until December 14 of 2021. By then to be honest with you I had Forgotten all about so when it came I had to actually think back to when I ordered the thing. Because they didn’t charge my Account until they actually sent it so that was a Bonus. This time I shipped it Two Day UPS Freight. It telling me it will be here tomorrow. I can’t hardly wait, the 365 XL is my EDC in cold weather then I go back to the 356 for better concealment.

    • @firearmsinsight
      @firearmsinsight  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I do love the modularity of the 320/365 lines. The Wilson Combat grips are an excellent compliment to an already great firearm. The grip texture is not slippery at all. I would describe it as borderline aggressive without being aggressive if that makes sense lol.

    Stock Sig grips has a thin plastic feeling in the palm. Is this more solid especially as you tap the face of the grip? Thanks for your insight.

    • @firearmsinsight
      @firearmsinsight  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In my own personal opinion, yes. This grip feels more solid and is tailored better to the hand. Not to take away from the 365 grip modules though, because I do think they make a great grip….but Wilson Combat took the same technology with the 320’s and perfected it for the 365 line.

    Great vid, thank you for the insight!
    Did you install extended mag releases on your P320s? They appear to protrude quite a bit more than the stock release on your 365XL.
    With the WC having a bit thicker grip than the factory 365XL grip, does the standard mag release work alright for you or do you foresee changing it out?

    • @firearmsinsight
      @firearmsinsight  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m glad you bring this up! This is the one area that I would say I would change. All four WC frames that I show in this video have the mag release that came with the grip. The 320 releases seem to be more responsive than the 365’s for whatever reason. They function perfect, but a little extra meat on that release could go a long way!
