    This man has the patience of a saint to answer every single question, whether repeat (and there are lots of those) or not.
    I haven’t tried the Wilson Combat grips but I quickly changed out the stock grips on all of my p365s to Icarus Precision modules once I found them last year. They are perfect for me without becoming too bulky/sticky like the Hogue. There is some added weight due to the metal vs stock polymer but I do wonder how it would compare to the Tungsten weights in the Wilson grip.
    I don’t know how anyone can comfortably shoot with the stock p365’s thin grip. Every student in my class has trouble with it, especially if it’s a first gun for them. At one point, I started bringing Hogue grips to class.

    I have added the Wilson Combat XL grip module to my SAS, and I was also able to slip on the Hogue rubberized grip on top of the Wilson grip. And now it feels like a butter. It now fully fills in the concavity in my hand that occurs when one grips something.
    I am a hobbyist knifemaker, and when knife makers construct handles, considering the palm swell is an important factor for proper ergonomics, yet precious few gun manufacturer seem to consider that.

      @@RidersRange I thought it would be brutal, but it really wasn't. It was simply a question of stretching it just a little bit on one side and scooting it up a millimeter, then alternating and doing the same on the other side, until it touched up on the beavertail. It took me perhaps three to five minutes, and required only a moderate amount of patience.
      The only thing I had to be careful of is either edge of the magwell, which are a little bit sharp, so I made sure I stretch the rubber over that first.
      I know the Wilson grip is bigger and has a little bit more texturing, but I honestly had no more difficulty than putting it on the factory grip.

    So I received and swapped out my grip on my XL with the Wilson Combat grip. True enough in terms of circumference it’s in between the stock Sig grip and one with the Hogue HandALL beavertail grip sleeve on the stock Sig grip. I am going to take it to the range to see how it feels and more importantly shoots. However in the back of my mind, I am considering slapping a Hogue grip sleeve to the WC grip. I’ve seen a couple of others do this and while one loses out on the aggressive texturing and good WC looks the overall circumference improves slightly further and a tad closer to that of a p320 Compact. We’ll see… either way we can’t go wrong. Right off the bat I dig the enhanced 1911 beavertail tang and the improved magwell not to mention that I am also intrigued in the near future with the concept of the tungsten rods that can be inserted into the grip.

      I want a standard module too .if the price isn’t too high on this one it looks good. Before seeing these was thinking about an exclusive slightly darker brown replacement offered by optics planet .try the contrasting colors look. & maybe even give stippling a shot on one of them. Both if it turned out to be a good thing. Honestly like the xl as is -stock.4-5 00 rounds through it right from the box with no cleaning other than wipe downs with remoil on a rag & dry toothbrush on sights & whatever I can reach easily without breaking it down. Did the same with a little LCP 22 light rack. Put a brick of old mini mags through it. Didn’t have any problems. Maybe five ammo related failure to fire. Darn good for rimfire.. Sig intended these guns to constantly scream for more. The money train must keep rolling! I get it. Poor little Ruger never made a peep. So of course I completely disassembled it and replaced the guide rod with a stainless steel and upgraded the main pin that holds the gun together that wasn’t necessary(380s.. necessary.. at least the pin) but better is better. Right.?. Could’ve been done with it at that point but couldn’t help myself. I had to have the replacement trigger that does away with the magazine disconnect on that pistol. The trigger itself was just fine, disconnects are a pain in the butt. Can’t stand them. On a rimfire especially.I couldn’t find my punches so since the back ordered Traeger was finally in the mailbox,I went at it with an old drill bit I should’ve been patient and gotten my tools. For some reason the trigger came un assembled. I did request and un anodized one , That’s why is my guess.To make a long story short, everything was going pretty good but mainly because of the unassembled trigger that I needed my tools to do properly, I messed up a roll pin, possibly damaged the trigger, attempted to align the soon to be damaged roll pin with a paper clip that was in arms reach. Which promptly broke off inside of the role pin. Have some new pins and everything is bagged and tagged but it’s in a cigar box and I haven’t shot it sense that evening. Learned a lesson. if a product comes in the mail in pieces that should be one completed unit , small pieces and springs with no directions and you don’t know what you’re doing, Stop and pick up the phone and get a replacement or something.Better yet just don’t start any job that is unfamiliar to you at 11 PM after a long day . But if you must, at the very least,have the right tools. Got the XL the next day. Unplanned, 2 had just come off the truck. I’ll get back to the LCPll soon. As a matter of fact I’m going to call them now and ask about that trigger and tell him what happened. Maybe they’ll send me another one. Or something.?.If not the other one I have is fixable. Never made a kydex holster before. The 22 is So small it’s going to be riding in a OWB with 4 spare mags. 51 mini mags on tap . ulti clips.xl ‘smaybe. Quick on and off and good for romping around in the woods, canoeing etc. grab it and go. Back to the Sig. don’t care for IWB very much. I believe the standard grip long slide version 365 Will be quite a bit better strongside or a little further back.10ish degree cant leather pancake. Not too bad as is and maybe I should give IWB a chance with such a small pistol. Holsters ughhh. Anyhow enjoy. I’m going outback to shoot a couple mags r now. It’s been a while and thinking about that 22 upset me a little bit. Need to knock the edge off a little and get my fix. Be safe

    Mine is on its way and I actually think I'm going to like the mag release being a little tighter in profile. When carried IWB, it's been a problem for me. Often get's pushed and releases the mag. I've tried 3 different holsters and it still happens. Love the 365xl, but that is an issue.

    Just replaced the P365 stock grip with the WCXL with tungsten weights included. It has a good heft to it with the added weights although I think it would have been better if the weights were molded into the frame by WC. The aggressive texture on the back and fore straps feels good in hand. The WC grip feels just a little stronger than the Sig original. The WC grip has a wider diameter than the original but not with the original and Hogue grip cover. The Hogue grip is the size (or larger still) that WC should have been trying for. The shape of the WC grip feels like it was designed with one handed shooting in mind. Given the smoothness of the trigger guard and the indent for the thumb rest, I question if two handed shooting was even considered. The dovetail is okay but nothing to rave about. I haven’t taken it to the range yet, maybe actually shooting it will surprise me and change my mind. Having used the Walther PPS, this is a failure.

    I had the Hogue grip on mine too, but I ended up taking it off. I really liked the way it felt in my hand, but it seemed to interfere with my holster draw.
    Since it’s a carry gun, I like the skinnier grip because it seems to be easier for me to get a hold of when it’s in the holster.
    I can still shoot it good enough stock, but for me there’s a balance between being shootable and “holster draw-able”- if that’s even a word.

    Dumb question maybe. But if i wanted to get one of these grips for a regular p365, do you the grips come in 9mm and .380 versions? On the WC website they all say compatible with p365-380 but dont see anything about working on a 9mm?

    • @RidersRange
      @RidersRange ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The grip module for the 9mm and .380 are the same. Only the mags and the slide are different.

      @@phukka_feelings I built a .380 XL for my wife. She loves it! Was able to locate and purchase 12 round mags as well. Great little shooter.

    I’ve read that the standard Sig 12 round mag May have some issues and that the 15 round is not listed in their chart as compatible? Is that true and would I need to buy new mags to fit the WC grip module?

      12 & 15 rd mags work perfectly

      Again, as @Fighting Solves Everything replied, the standard 12 and 15-round mags work just fine in the 365XL module.

      @@RidersRange I have the standard p365 not the XL

      @Wayne Kelly,
      I was looking at possibly the same issue. I have the standard p365 (tac pac), which came with three 12 rd. magazines. I noticed you can remove the sleeve of the 12 rd. magazine therefore making it so you can use them in the XL frame module. However, I believe I am going to have to purchase new baseplates (extended). I don't think I'll be able to reliably insert the magazines in the WC XL frame without this modification. I hope this helps anybody out there wondering.

    What's going on with that magazine base plate? That doesn't look anything like the flat plate on my 365X.

    • @RidersRange
      @RidersRange 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The mag baseplate is from Tactical Development.

      Hey Guys thanks for the leads. I ended up getting a mag extention from Tactical Development. They didn't have any black available so that's a little wonky. I ordered a grip module from Wilson even though they say sold out. I ordered it this past week and received notification yesterday that it's due to be delivered this Friday.

      @@jeffreymelber9582 you should've gotten the baseplate from MagGuts. I think it looks better than the TD version, plus it comes with a replacement spring and follower that turns your 12 round magazine into a 14 rounder that is easier to load.

      I installed the Wilson grip today. It fits real nice it's a tighter fit than the stock and the grip is slightly larger. It feels real good. Haven't shot it yet. So far very nice and a little more aggressive stippling. Mine did not come with a mag release.
