Brilliant!! As a punk in the 70s in london I fell in love with docs. I own 35 pairs!! At 56 years old they they still give me an edgy vibe. I have a standard pair of jadons, and they definately give my legs a work out.
I was genuinely surprised you didn't already have Dr. Marten's! I have like 7 pairs! And I wear them as often as I can, because I love mixing feminine pieces with the Masculine boots. Perfect edgy style pairings!
I just got a pair of combat style boots (not Docs) and I discovered how I love wearing them with my joggers. Paired with either a basic tee or even a bodysuit is my favorite look. These, as well as my cowboy boots, are a staple in my wardrobe.
I could see a long knit dress in a gray or charcoal with the doc martens. I’m thinking the dress needs a turtleneck. Great winter piece. Now I think I need to find that. 😊 Love the looks here!

I have some Jadons too. Love them. So flattering. I’m tempted by the white ones with zip on the top but not sure I’d wear them enough considering his expensive they are.
Absolutely LOVE the new boots! I have a file labeled “my look book” and the first pic, and item I got is a platform Doc, men’s style wing tip with a zipper front. I got some little sterling silver space ship charms and put them on the pulls. Every time I zip them up, I gotta tell you, I crack myself up. Not as edgy as these, but I got them in Feb 2020 and then I could only wear them around… the house! LOL! I’m glad I went the extra touch for that lock down period. I have to tell you, not only do I love you style, but I love your sense of humor too! 👍🏼♥️🤙🏼

The only pair of boots I have are motorcycle style and some of these looks gave me a few ideas. My style is not edgy, but I do like to add contrast to my outfits with jewelry and shoes. I love feminine jewelry with men inspired outfits and chunky jewelry with feminine outfits.
I love Frye harness boots and wear the black ones with formal wear to the theater. I also wear them with shorts in the garden. They have great support. Have ten pairs….yeah I buy a pair a year. Mostly vintage.
I’ve worn Docs for decades and can not do without a pair, or 2, I’ve noticed Docs are the footwear of choice for my city. We’re all running around in them! Nice styling to go with Emily and I love the elevated platform, if I wasn’t over 6ft2 I’d be looking for a pair.
I'm 55 and I love my DM's and have been wearing them for years. I wear them all year round and their platform boots are just the best and you can wear them with everything and yes they're a bit weighty but you get used to that after wearing them for a while but if you want Edgy, then add a pair of Doc's to your wardrobe. The Devon Hearts are the cutest and the Jardon's and Rometty's (all made with the fine grained Milled Nappa leather) are the best platforms, worth every cent and will last for years if you look after them. Fip.

Canada played its usual tricks on us and a heatwave in the spring sent us straight to open toed shoes! The thing I see with this boot, or any of this type of boot over the shoes you start with is that it makes even causal silhouettes and fabrics a more put together look than the casualness you get with thongs/flip flops/sneakers.

Yes, Docs are so great secondhand. I'm not sure, as I wore them more and more I didn't notice the weight as much. And I think I may like the heaviness in the winter.

I do wear rings everyday. And sometimes I incorporate necklaces and bracelets/watches. And every once and a while earrings. But I'm extremely minimal and intentional with my jewelry. I got a size 4 which is my smaller size, normally between a 4 or a 6. They fit perfectly but could have gone with a 6 for a looser fit.

If you don't like Martins, maybe try a hiking boot, work boots, oxford boot or even an edgy chelsea boot. Can all give a similar effect.
