The Hulk clip is from a 2003 movie. Yes, it looks rough around the edges, but they make up for it in plenty of the animations.

A lot of this isn't really the VFX artists' fault. Marvel has been putting them through the meat grinder lately because, unlike the writers or several of the other trades, they aren't unionised. And the executives pretty much expect that anything can be done with CGI, which is true to an extent, but they are often given unreasonable time limits for the work to fit a good level of expectation. That's how you end up with this stuff happening.

To be fair, Marvel used to have some excellent CG (e.g. Thanos) but some of these non franchise movies have fantastic blends of CG and practicality like I thought Top Gun Maverick was amazing with the combination of the two, as well as Parasite

I’m shocked you didn’t include any special effects from the Miss Marvel show. Almost every effect looks like it came out of a PS2 game. Except the effect involving a skeleton, that looks like it came from a Sega Saturn.

I’m trying not to give spoilers, so it’s a little tricky to be specific. It has also been a while since I watched the show, so i have to rely on my far from perfect memory.
I don’t remember thinking the cgi was so bad in the first few episodes when she was still learning how to use her powers. But in the finale when there were two sources of the light power, and more complicated constructs she was building, the cgi really looked bad to me. I think it’s a problem similar to the green lantern movie. It’s probably hard to simulate light that way convincingly. Especially when light doesn’t work that way in real life, and there’s no reference.

Why are people pressed about people mentioning the bad cgi? The vfx workers are overworked and spitting out multiple projects of different scales and it really shows in some of the newer projects. Compare them to older movies with vfx like Avatar or Lord of the Rings and see how rushed the work is. Marvel really did have good vfx but the lack of love in the projects shows

She Hulk is a visual eyesore, but everything else here could be handwaved away as being a quick scene no one would pay attention to without scrutiny. The Endgame one wasn't a failure, just a cool setpiece. The Captain America scene was the only scene where you could actually point out the effect being used and I'm not really sure you're right about it being obvious. It's obviously green screen, they wouldn't drop the dude 270 ft down a hole for the effect. Then you show Hulk (2003) and I stop watching the video. You really are out of your depth.
