That would be a good time to change the PCV valve too while the intake manifold is removed.

Are those two hoses (4:04- right side of thermostat, have 2 rusted clips) coolant hoses?

Question: Does the 1ZR-FE engine have 1 or 2 thermostats?

I replaced my thermostat without removing the intake manifold. 🤣🤣🤣. I'm just hoping it's sealed good.

There is glue/liquid rubber sealant. Take the thermostat off and reinstall it with sealant

When do you need to change your thermostat?

when u see signs of engine overheating...thermostat might be a problem...or at times you will also see leaks in the thermostat housing....in that case it is better to replace the whole thermostat casing..

@@PeterFinnTheCarDoctor kindly be heating up slowly what do you mean? Kindly clarify.

@@kalokikelvin6603 It means the Thermostat is stuck in the open positioned.
It will take really long for you to get heat in your car during the winter.
ATG says if you pulled out the Thermostat & you got no coolant gushing out.
Then mostly Thermostat is opened (allowing coolant to run out), means it is defective.
When the coolant is cool or cold, the Thermostat is closed (coolant can not run).

You don't need to take any of that out You just pull the thermostat at the housing off, replace the thermostat and go about your business
