I must say Aubrey that is one fine sounding acoustic! Just happened to see a Rainsong mentioned in a player's blog and thought I'd give a demo a listen. The sustain of it is simply phenomenal, ringing forever as you said! Nice pickin' too--I love the balanced tone it's amazing! Seems to be very versatile and does well with fingerpicking as well as strumming. I'm also knocked out by the Elixer 80/20 set too, will have to give those a try. Living in Alaska like I do, I've thought about getting one in years past, this will be on my wish list. Thanks for the nice demo!
I've gone through a few smaller carbon fibers wishing they sounded like this. I ended up with an Emerald Amicus which is killer, but on the other end of the spectrum in terms of sound. This thing is killer
I played a Rainsong many years ago and didn’t think it sounded natural, but it didn’t sound like this one! They’ve really dialed it in. I love how durable and stable they are, and if that is on lights that is insane! Now I’ll check them out when I’m in the market again.
So….are we mostly done with wood guitars? Sounds great from here! I’d guess consistency between CF guitars are more reliable, as well. FYI side note: Ended up selling the Griffin to Allen. Bought 3 to replace it. Two older Collings, 23 year old Martin LSV. Both Collings are serious “Bone”crushers. Should I sell the Martin and get a Rainsong? And, do you know when they will be making CW/TR models? 😊
I know you said you have lights on it, but how's the action on it? I'm looking at a PA model, with nylon strings, but now I'm considering steel. (Nylon helps with a little bit of thumb arthritis) I've got lights on my Ibanez electric, and that's quite acceptable.
I heard you say they are light strings, can you tell me exactly what strings you are using on it? It sounds amazing and now I am thinking of getting one thaks to you. Lol!
Ordered mine based upon your review. Thanks for the demo. Crazy good playing. Thanks!
Sounds phenomenal- cheers Aubrey
I hate to say it but that thing sounds insane

I love this guitar
Thanks! I've always wondered how they played. Now, if my playing was in your neighbohood...

They are elixir 80/20
@@aubreykingguitar By the way, are you using the .10s or the .11's set? Still am astounded by the sustain...it is almost endless!
