This small hunting camp with a loft is located in the old Deerhaven subdivision in Wesley, the typical 5 acre lot located between Otter and Long lakes over miles of winding dirt roads offering a nice wooded location and plenty of privacy. Long known as a popular spot for deer and bear hunters to spend their hunting seasons, the area also has plenty of partridge and a few turkeys lurking around. I will be looking for a property (fixer-upper) in Maine in less then a year for permanent living. I won't have a ton of money, which is one of the reasons I am a being drawn to Maine in the first place. I fell in love with Maine when I was younger on a Boy Scout trip. I am a New Englander, and will be a first time home buyer. Connecticut is ridiculously expensive and I can't even afford a shack here, nor do I want one in Ct. The fact it's on bedrock.....is that the reason there is no well/septic? How often do similar properties come up? I am from out of state looking to relocate.
Bedrock presents little problem for a well. The septic would be more difficult but not impossible.

One can have “utilities” for free. Solar for electricity. And wood for heating. And a well for water.
