Thank you so much I been thinking about buying these but couldn't find any good reviews. And this video has sealed the deal. Marry Christmas to me haha.
Thanks for the review.I've been interested in these things since before they came out.I'm in the process,I think like you are,of switching over to Android from iOS.Do these headphones work with Android phones?...or does the 'i' signify 'iPhone Only'?I just bought an HTC ONE,that's why.
I forgot to say, I chose the AE2 since I needed headphones, because I already had earphones, and this is solely the reason; it had nothing to do with the earphones themselves, or this review.
Compared to the Ear Pods (what I currently use), how good do they sound? I specifically want them to handle bass really well. Plus, I personally don't care about noise cancelation. So, is there even a reason to buy these over a different brand other than noise canceling?
Great video! I just bought their current 2021 version for $249 at Bestbuy. They sound amazing! I bought them for the noise cancellation to drown out my neighbor's bass when I'm sleeping. With nc turned on and not playing music, they block about 80%. I used them once to go to sleep and slept great! The rest of the time I use Hearos earpulgs that only block about 60 - 70% of noise, but the Bose are uncomfortable to sleep in. Again, I really enjoyed the video!
I have owned a pair of IE2's for the past couple years or so. Great headphones for a good price. I recently just picked up a pair of QC15's and I fell in love with them immediately. For studying, or relaxing you can't beat it. As you said, the price may be a little high but it will be worth it in the long run.
These or Beats Solo 2 wireless? I had the IE20? before, but they were stolen, and they sounded great. Beats are uncomfortable and I love the way the Bose sit in the ear, so it's down to sound quality, and how good the bass is
I've been using these for a handful of months now, and I was surprised how quiet things got around me. Today I flee into this quiet bubble of peace to avoid getting stressed out, often without even playing music. I find that they are superb at blocking the deeper sounds from the environment.
hey Soldier I was wondering if you could do a review of the Jaybirds bluebud x. I heard they're really good and i think you would really like it! Also benefiting us to know your experience. Thanks!
Hey Soldier I recommend you to try the Shure SE series, or get a pair of in-ears with sound quality better than the Bose and buy compatible Comply Foam Tips. They cancel noise out pretty good.
A word about active noise cancelation: It is not designed to cancel out sudden, very loud, or high pitched noises like sirens or dogs barking. Noise cancelation works best for constant low pitched noises like airplane engines, road noise, fans, etc. If you don't deal with these things often, you may be better off going without active cancellation (not using electronics). You can get a better price, possibly with better sound quality. Look for brands like Sennheiser, Beyerdynamic, and even good old Sony.
Bought these headphones a couple of weeks ago. The sound is great, Noise Cancelling was very good. Used them on the flight and was very quiet. The comfort and fit is great. Also used them for phone calls on my iPhone and really improves the quality of the call. I truly recommend them.
Interesting to hear the noise cancellation. I have klipsch x10i head phones and love them. Can now get those for around half of what a paid but they are great quality and for an inear they sound great.
I have been using the JVC Marshmallow for over a year and i love them. they cancel out a lot of noise (if not all). The earbuds form to your ear and are comfortable. I will admit thought that after a while the wax does harden them up so i have to get some replacement tips for them. But i love them and i may try these out to see if i do like them. I use headphones for my phone, mp3 player, my hdtv, and my portable gaming systems and laptop. The price is the only thing that gets to me though.
I wish you would have said something about the IE2's. They are only about $120 and they are just as nice but don't come with the active noise cancelling. I love them!!
Worth mentioning. If the headphones run out of battery they still do work as regular (non noise cancelling) headphones. The QC15 and the QC3 need power at all times.
Only thing holding me back from buying them is the wire durability. Just by looking at it, and having experience with the Bose IE2, they'll easily tear within 2 years of moderate use. If they had braided fiber on top of it, I think it would easily justify the $300 price.
Wondering if anyone could help me out here. I hate in earphones with those rubber buds, the typical type you see on most earphones which are black/grey. However I'm a fan of the "new" apple earbud design, an all plastic earphone with a design similar to that of the rubbery earbuds, but not rubber. My question is, is there anything out there similar to Apple's plastic earbuds which doesn't require those rubber buds? Cheers in advance.
Yes. I have the SIE2i and bought the stay hear+ from the q20i and I will say they do work and it also enhances the sound. Bought them from Bose for $10 for 2
Shit man for $300 you could get like dt880s. Won't be noise cancelling but they'll sound a whole lot better. Or you could get closed back headphone that isolate well and get a nice amp/dac.
I just bought QC20i, the sound is horrible. Noise canceling doesn't isolate whole sounds you can still hear high frequency sounds. Is there a better choice than this???
Dude you're nuts. I'm a studio engineer and these are quite excellent. Not THE best but damn close! Definitely worth the money. Also the sound canceling works phenomenally. I own a pair.
I believe you have missed the point. The Bose IE2 (or MIE2 if you have an iPhone) are the same earphone without the noise cancellation, and are also less than the 99 dollar price mark. These headphones are for Noise cancellation, I thought that was made clear but apparently not. I own S4i's, and MiE2's, and I would never go back to the S4 after using the bose. The audio quality is significantly more pleasing. Wether that's down to the comfort of the product or the fact the the drivers are twice the size as they rest outside of the ear, I can't say. But to compare a brand new noise cancelling headset to a 4 year old pair of S4i's is ludicrous.
Huge props for bringing up the wax point. I was hoping you would. Great review.
One of the best reviews i've come by so far… cheers
Thank you!!!! I have been looking at these!!!! Merry Christmas!!!!

Just got my QC15 for Christmas. Love them!
Got these for Christmas, can't wait to use them!
Thank you for the review SKB, aka Mark. I was looking at these earphones, but I decided on the Bose AE2 headphones.
I forgot to say, I chose the AE2 since I needed headphones, because I already had earphones, and this is solely the reason; it had nothing to do with the earphones themselves, or this review.
what camera did you you for this video ? :) the quality is amazing !
what percentage of stuff do company's let you keep soldier?
Compared to the Ear Pods (what I currently use), how good do they sound? I specifically want them to handle bass really well. Plus, I personally don't care about noise cancelation. So, is there even a reason to buy these over a different brand other than noise canceling?
I have the Bose MIE2i headphones, is it much of an upgrade compared to these?
Is the battery pack a bother when you're walking around with your phone in your pocket. It looks like it would dangle out of your pocket
does the little box get in the way while working out?, or are these more for traveling?

Soldier - didn't really understand how the noise cancellation compares to other over the ear headphones such as the QC 15..??

You rocked it...I bought them based on this review. You are dat good!

Does anyone know how much Bose charges for the battery replacement when it dies after a few years?
I LOVE BOSE. I have a pair. omg the sound is GORGEOUS!
Got those and the SiE2 in green for the gym. Best in-ear
Hey Soldier I recommend you to try the Shure SE series, or get a pair of in-ears with sound quality better than the Bose and buy compatible Comply Foam Tips. They cancel noise out pretty good.
is it only the iphone that these headphones work with, or with any phone?
I was just wondering if the battery at the end of the cord isn't bothering you when you walk and stuff?? Otherwise great review, like always 😄
Hey soldier what cam do you use to make you video blog ?

Those headphones are awesome!
Is the price worth the product your getting?
Would love to see those tips on the IE2s.
Bought these headphones a couple of weeks ago. The sound is great, Noise Cancelling was very good. Used them on the flight and was very quiet. The comfort and fit is great. Also used them for phone calls on my iPhone and really improves the quality of the call. I truly recommend them.

nice review and nice background
$300! Thats crazy

Worth mentioning. If the headphones run out of battery they still do work as regular (non noise cancelling) headphones. The QC15 and the QC3 need power at all times.
They are awesome. Had them for a month
Are you using a mac for gaming? :O
How u feel about beats by dre?
For 700k you should do a 'Soldier builds a pc" video. Get all the components and make your own build guide.

1000000% better
is that a real question?
It's a joke right?

***** LOL, if you think the iphone 5 earphones sound good, get some ath m50's and throw those apple ones away.

You should do a review on the Bose acoustic noise canceling headphones. Quiet comfort 15
new camera setup man , nice
whats the warranty like on them
it hurts when you turn the noise cancelation on/off
merry Christmas son have a nice day
Love the Breaking Bad shirt and "Box Set" in the background. I almost bought the box set, but then I realized it was $200 Haha.
You should do a review on the BOSE Quiet comfort 15 acoustic noise canceling headphones
I like the new camera angle.
I love the comfort of these Bose earphones, but i want better audio quality... is there a pair of headphones out there that fits the description?
I appreciate Bose QuietComfort 20i. Best qualify and price for Bose QuietComfort 20i on amzn.to/1BGeSKc. You can visit this page to see more
If you buy the stayhear rubber things can you use them with normal earphones?
Yes. I have the SIE2i and bought the stay hear+ from the q20i and I will say they do work and it also enhances the sound. Bought them from Bose for $10 for 2
got these for christmas and they are awesome. In my opinion they completely blow away Beats
Could you please do a review on the Monster DNA headphones?
299? hellz no
Do the music controls only work with apple products.?
BoostedZ28Camaro yes the QC20i for Apple products and QC20 for Android and Windows.
I know this question is unrelated, but should I get battlefield 4 or need for speed rivals.
BF4.
can this be used with galaxy s3
my ear wax does not shed dude ! what are you on about ? do you feed ur ear ?
Why would you use these instead of the qc25?
well I dont know about others, but I'm looking at them for travelling due to then taking up much less room in my bag
Still Worth it in 2021?
The $300 headset does not come with airplane jack adapter?
No, only 2 sets of gel, micro usb for charging and a case.
They shoulda added an auto turn off for it when music isn't playing for 5+ min. I always leave my qc15s on and the battery dies.
Nice one!
Can you do a review of the Bose AE2w?
I have these headphones and they are awesome! :)
that price tag gave me a second thought about buying it......might wait for a discount or lowered price on these
You never made a gopro hero 3 black edition review.. Can you make one lol
So for 300 hundred dollars you get a wireless Bluetooth headphones right?

Review the Sennheiser Over the ear Momentums
Shit man for $300 you could get like dt880s. Won't be noise cancelling but they'll sound a whole lot better. Or you could get closed back headphone that isolate well and get a nice amp/dac.
Does the bose qc20i work for chat on ps4?
+C Dyekjær yes
I just bought QC20i, the sound is horrible. Noise canceling doesn't isolate whole sounds you can still hear high frequency sounds. Is there a better choice than this???
Dude you're nuts. I'm a studio engineer and these are quite excellent. Not THE best but damn close! Definitely worth the money. Also the sound canceling works phenomenally. I own a pair.
whhitestallion Likewise, Bose sets high standards with these earphones!
They are noise canceling ear phones, not noise isolating. Noise concealing only takes out sound like on the plane or the wind while driving the car
+Hani Baatwah they are awesome
review the jaybird-blue buds x please, if you can
can you make a video of a review of th v-moda m100
I'll buy the Klispch S4i ($99) over these Bose QC 20i ($299) any day and it's a lot cheaper.
I believe you have missed the point. The Bose IE2 (or MIE2 if you have an iPhone) are the same earphone without the noise cancellation, and are also less than the 99 dollar price mark.

You bought the Breaking Bad set?
Have you moved house?
Does Harmon/kardon have earphones or headphones
harmon kardon sure does have headphones. They are a lot of money though. But than again Harmon Kardon is very very high-end
The QC20's kick ass. Unbelievable sound quality for a noise canceller.
Worth the money
Ear wax prevention!! Haha love it awesome review and seem like quality earphones for the gym
bluetooth?
I'm getting the Oe2s
How much did Bose pay you for this video?
