When seeing this video I was afraid I made my purchase of the VL150 too early... That godox now came out with either a better, or cheaper alternative.
I'm happy to see that that's not the case for my particular setup.
However I might consider an sl150 mk ii as my next light.

Perspiration is an active mechanism that your body uses to defend itself from overheating. If the ambient temperature is lower than temperature inside of your lungs, then the body is cooling itself by moving air in and out. No electric fans are required.

I think I'm gonna pick up VL150 once it's available, we can consider the $60 price difference is for the bag and battery option also compact design, so it will be lighter on top of a light stand.

    Great review as always!
Will you do an "endurance" test with these lights, to see how the UL stacks up, if temperatures build up - get too high, and if this may make it prone to last less than the fan powered counterparts?

As always, fantastic and very informative and funny reviews. Big fan! What I realize, after purchasing two SL200II units and did my own testing, is what I am missing in these great reviews, is also a comparison between the same brand and models. The two SL 200 II units I just purshased does not match well. One magenta tint and one unit, and the other one with a green tint (brand new same serial number batch). In fact, one of the SL 200 II units match better with both my Aputure and LitePanels than it's own other SL 200 II unit, but not ideal. If I'd be happy with these, I'd get more to have a more unified temp/tint/color rendition, but these does vary too much. How would you approac this problem? Gels or simply return them until you have units that match?

Godox is really taking on the challenges of providing professionals the tools they need. One question -- how would lights of this wattage mix with direct sun to either lighten shadows or provide a keylight when the sun is backlighting the subject? Is 150W enough, or would you need a 300W light for this?

I like the buiuld quality and the high output. Further issues I would love to see covered include 1. Different approaches to warming up the 5600 color temperature. And 2. help me with the Godox Photo and Godox Light apps! I could not get them to work on my iphone 12 mini.

I like him, but "forgetting" other good reviewers is very narrow minded.

Would you still recommend the sl60 or would u skip it and jump to one of these ones? Upgrading from a ring light with my tiktoks and TH-cam videos

For a while I think your favorites were Clar LEFs by Adorama. Are they still competitive?

actually really would love to get the VL150, but it's kind of expensive in my opinion. On the other hand, the SL60W was more in my price range but really worse on specs so i'd still consider spending a little more to be done for a longer time with the VL150.

    Hey Gerald,
I'm new to video and was looking to buy my first lighting setup to help improve my videos.
I'll be mostly filming product b-roll and wondered if I should buy a set of two larger led panels in a kit, or one larger panel and a smaller rgb panel.
Would love to hear your thoughts.
    Thanks in advance 😁

These are more of studio lights, right? Which type is nice for outside interviews? For my video, one ligjt is enought and I take the sun as the key light
