Yessir it was. I was standing next to that almost the whole concert and I was so jealous he got to hold the mic. That's a once in a lifetime opportunity. What a legendary band
My brother and I danced our asses off at this concert. Such good energy from the crowd and bands. Fantastic time for a few hours in Atlanta. Yall are good people. We were right behind you my guy. Dont mind you recording now. You got some great footage.
This was definitely my favorite concert of the year their stage presence is insane. You should have included the chick screaming encore for the first set 😂😭
that was pretty funny considering the crowd wasn't super into the opening act. good effort from both bands, especially the second one. masudore is just on another level though
thank you so much! i saw that Masquerade themselves had some camcorder tripod setup near the barricaded soundcheck station in the back. i emailed them to ask about it but no response. anyways im still happy this exists, thanks again. i dont know how you held a phone for that long, perhaps you had it connected to some support thing?
Thank you for the kind words. I never use a mount or anything like that for holding my phone (figure it wouldn't make it through security anyway), I just switch hands between every couple songs to avoid them cramping up. It's obviously easier whenever I can lean on a railing or something, but at this show I was directly in front of the speakers so that wasn't happening lol. Although that's an interesting tidbit that venues frequently hold bands liable for posting their own concert recordings. I guess it's not worth the red tape for most groups to get clearance to record full shows.

i hated the sea of cell phones in the crowd but it's cool to see this again. need to come up with some better policy around recording, imo. so we could get good footage without the distraction of screens. thanks for posting this, in any case. really good show
It also didn't help that almost everyone there was over 6 ft tall. I had to get in the pit and fight my way up front to get a decent view which was totally worth it when she came down into the crowd
I would have also hated to be among a bunch of people taking videos, but the issue is difficult. Until recently there haven't been very many good live videos of Masudore because the culture in Japan is typically no phones out of courtesy for the band and other members in the audience, but the artists generally don't have the same resources/ability to record and release their live footage at the same scale and ease as a ton of fans with their phones out so I'm grateful these videos are being uploaded
The best policy to avoid a "sea of cell phones" is an energetic mosh-pit and the occasional crowd surfer. Personally, I like to get lost in the music at gigs and find that even trying to take a couple of pictures distracts from the enjoyment of the moment. But I like the way I can always find footage of gigs I was at online if I want to relive them, so I never get annoyed at other people filming, especially if they are right at the front. 🤘
