Honda FD2R - On Slightly Wet Road, Slight Drizzle, & Semi-slicks up Genting / YS Khong Driving

- The appointment was already made. When I woke up at 5.00 am, it was storming outside, but nevertheless, Samuel turned up in his Honda Civic FD2R at 7.00 am. We decided to take a chance, that maybe it wouldn't be raining over at Gombak and Genting Sempah, so with hopeful intentions, we drove through a light drizzle and set up our cameras at our regular stopover location.
We were ready to start, but there was still a drizzle, and on Semi-slicks, it wasn't that good an idea to go. Still, it was an opportunity not to be wasted, and rather than re-schedule, we decided to go the additional 17 kilometres in hopes that it would dry out.
It did, as we left the push-off point, but as we neared the actual climb, there was just a hint of a drizzle - the road looked like it was okay, and so we decided to try it anyway.
Little droplets came at us as we were halfway up, and so we went a little cautiously. The 2-Way LSD was quite a handful but other than that, we managed.

Wow, of all the videos of your Genting drive uphill, i must say this is one of the more exciting ones. Literally man and car becomes 1, and that fantastic howling Vtec engine. This is one great drive sir! 👍

That VTEC noise is the signature of Honda Type-R engine. Best Motoring Hot Version used that sound clip as part of their introduction theme.

The speed on video is how I remember it to seem like when I drove up Getting...😬😬 And the footwork of being off throttle and brake but...rapidly choosing either to brake or accelerate 😅😅 and they part where you get on the throttle then had to brake even tho it's fairly straight but it was just too fast/ feeling scary... OMG... Oh no... Dear all, any racing movie scene taken at genting highland uphill road ? This footage is far better than any racing scene in movies I have ever seen. What if it end with a drift at the round about... wah... I can not imagine oh. 😅
U mean outside footage? That would need a gallery of fans along the road side.

Hi uncle, you can try opening the rear window a bit next time. This will reduce the unnecessary wind sound and you dont feel pressure on your ear. = ) Great driving BTW !
