Great Sunday morning treat Andy. Welcome back to the land of impenetrable hedges, and a tractor around every blind bend! Sadly not as much room over here (which is why I went the other way this Summer) but things get very much better as soon as you leave the A roads. Very much enjoyed the Peak District (Flash Bar Stores excellent ), made me appreciate how lucky I am to live on the edge of it.
@steveball2307 Cheers Steve! Peak District was definitely the highlight of the trip. Seems like I’ve been many times and never seen the same roads twice. Even if they actually WERE the same roads!
I sat and watched it all the way through, had a cup of coffee, but engrossed in a rural tour of Wales and England. Glad you could team up with Ian!! Now wish our winter was over and I could get out on my two - Two Wheels... or even at least ride to work! Fine weather tomorrow, I now have the fever - thanks Andy!!
You Sir know how to make an entertaining 1st person ride video! Rarely enjoy these, but the witty commentary and joyful sound of the Aprilia was a pleasure. Have the exact same bike and I absolutely love it! Tuareg is the best do it all ADV bike on the market IMO...and I'm coming from a BMW GS.
Nice to see you back home with the old man, some great biking roads around that neck of the woods. I’ve had a lovely day in Northumberland and the Borders. PS. Italian bikes always have a great induction sound, my Multi V2S is awesome in the mid range.
Italian induction for the win! 🥇 It was great to be back Ian. Of course it was end of last summer, so I’m desperate to visit again! Won’t happen this though sadly.

Well that was Acton packed must of been a week trip start to finish . Seems odd watching you riding on my ridding roads I live 45min from N wales or 45m Peak District .
Ian really is the R2D2 to your C-3PO, with the distorted intercom and all that. Those roads and quaint little villages is one reason I kinda want to tour the UK sometime on the moto. Norway has me spoilt for views and bends, but it lacks in stone-built buildings and industrial revolutions.
One day we’ll actually get the intercoms to record, and it’ll be a disappointment!! Heading to the UK from Norway is an understandably hard sell! The quaintness is great, but it gets old much quicker than the fjords and mountains!! Coupled with some Scotland and Ireland action, now that could be a more compelling reason for you to make the trek!
You passed through my backyard (so to speak). Burton Farm Shop is a frequent stop at one or other end of a ride. Breakfast on the way out or coffee and cake on the way back. 🙂
Apart from our very english weather not too a shabby trip i think ! Great vid Andy, if you're over harwich or even ipswich area again bud, give me a shout and i'll show you some great roads around my area ! I am one of the famous teapot Clan but don't hold that against me 😊, safe travels Andy !
Not too shabby at all Andy! Thanks very much mate and be sceptical of anyone who holds it against you that you support a fellow creator! Power to the Teapot Clan! 🫡
Still love the UK, but when I got to ABR Festival this year, I was absolutely shocked about the amount of filth next to the roads. I didn't remember it was that bad when I lived in the south over 16 years ago.
Same. It always makes me realise just how much cleaner Germany is. Not sure if it’s regulation or if people just have more respect for their own country!?
@AndyManCam At 1:04, what gallon is he referring to? The 4.54l one or the 3.78l one? Big difference. A liter is always a liter whether on Mars or planet Earth.
Me too matey! And there’s SO much more already in the can waiting to be edited! It’s going to be a very Italian autumn/winter season on the AMC TH-cams!
@@AndyManCam Absolutely. You know, that collab you did with MF and Richy Vida where you raced the airplane is still one of the coolest things I've ever seen! Anyone on here that hasn't watched that one- do yourself a favor and watch it!

The only competitor is CF MotoMT 450 Why do say it’s not an adventure bike?
Thanks Rupert! I like the look of the new 450 Himalayan too. Oh the Tuareg is DEFINITELY 100% an adventure bike! In my opinion, the best adventure bike out there! It was Ian who seemed to believe that his Triumph Tiger 1200gt isn’t an adventure bike 🤦
An absolutely gorgeous country, my good man! Stuck here is the flatlands of central Canada, your little island is like paradise!! Sigh. 😔 Trying to sneak over to ride in Austria next summer.
I was regretful that meetups weren’t possible this time too. Next time I’ll try and be more organised! Oh the life of a freelancer and the sudden ‚holidays‘! 😅
What a thoroughly wonderfully entertaining video Mr ManCam. Haven’t caught tour last few for some reason. Algorithms? My startling ADHD brain perhaps? Either way, I have a free morning before dad-taxi duties to go back and have a catch up. Looking forward to the next one.
Cheers! It was certainly enjoyable and well overdue! I had 6500 km on the clock when i got home, so minus the run to the ferry, about 2500 miles in the UK.
That Welsh accent! AMC with added phlegm 😂. Another awesome video, and yes Cambridgeshire has definitely become more bumpy since you left. Place is falling apart...
Super to finally see this adventure! :) What is the verdict on the tyres, especially in the wet? :) There ARE some decent twisty roads in East Anglia, even near Harwich, as you discovered... I've managed to find most of them... ;) :D Did you steal your Welsh trip part from Mike's standard "day out in Wales on the bikes" playbook? ;) :) :D :D Snake Pass is always better when (empty, obvs), and accompanied by doing also the Woodhead Pass (out of Glossop) and then Holme Moss :) (and then maybe turn round and go back and do them again in the other direction, back into the "Peaks"... :) )
The Scorpion STR‘s are actually very good. They really priced themselves in Romania (videos to come) where i chucked the bike around like i stole it for 5000km. Just needed more time to really explore. But this trip was more a family visit than an exploratory expedition!
Time was short so i had to squeeze it all in! It is a confusing family, but not because of location! 😅 The mummy dearest was on holiday with auntie, otherwise she’d have been with Ian!
@Hemlck yes mate, still on the stockers. I think it’s a mental thing, along with a bit of personal taste. In Romania, it rained for several days and once i learned to trust them, i had no trouble with wet tarmac. I’ll be going much more OFF road focused for the next adventure! 😉
You’re not wrong there Bren. It feels like the bike that i should have had all along. It was made for me!! I thought the others were good, but it was just because i hadn’t discovered this one yet! ( just like all the exes versus the wife! 🤣) Funny how fate can make you wait for perfection eh?!
Awesome to see you out on the Toe-Rag... bout time! ;-) It def likes to cut through the corners on the STR's 🙂 You are getting some great bike audio... is that through magic tricks or secret microphones?
Thanks P! It really was about time! I’ve never thought that I’d happily get another set of OEM tyres. But the STR‘s are very convincing. Audio VVB is all from the DJI wireless mic in the helmet mate. Very very good!!
@HippoDrones In Italy recently i also tried out the dual mic setup with the Osmo Action 5. Haven’t listened to it properly yet, but early signs are positive!
It was until i binned it on a trail, then realised 2km later that I’d dropped one of the mics!! Couldn’t ride back up (too difficult!) so hiking 2km uphill in Sidi Adventures was the blister ridden order of the day!! 🤣
A very entertaining vid, Andy. How did the Tuareg cope with the potholes, trenches, raised ridges, sunken metal manhole covers, inch thick loose chippings, etc., that make travelling on UK 'roads' such a pleasure?
Thanks very much Jim! The Tuareg ate it all up like it was‘nt even there! I could see the rough surfaces, just couldn’t feel them! ADV bikes really are the only way to travel in the UK!
Morning Andy, a couple of Tuareg questions please; Would you say it’s generally a good road bike ? They’d be no off road for me, and not a question I’d normally ask a bloke, but bearing in mind you are a tad lighter than me too, ‘how’s your arse’ after a decent days riding ? I have a Multi 1260s and just paid £900 for the 18k service, so I’m thinking something’s gotta change.. cheers Andy
It’s a fabulous road bike mate. Truly wonderful to ride on the smooth stuff. I don’t feel in any way like the bike has slowed me down. Also my arse is possibly the best it’s ever been after a long ride. I do have the comfort seat, which obviously helps, but the long bench design means infinite ability to shift around and change position every 30 minutes or so. I can say that the 20,000km service for this bike is alleged to be around the 1000€ mark due to the valve check/adjustment. But ultimately, my favorite bike out of all of them.
@ Thanks Andy, much appreciated opinion, was a little worried about dropping down the cc’s but if it’s ok for a decent rider it’ll be def ok for me. Just the servicing costs to check out, thanks again.. Andy
@Noseybiker61 i definitely don’t miss the power mate. The motor is a punchy little number. So far the only riders i haven’t been able to keep up with were a pair of local maniacs on Multistradas in Romania! The main difference is that although I’ve got way less HP, i can use absolutely all of it. Most of us never use even half of what a litre bike can do.
The area is DEFINITELY worth visiting. But the B500 is more frustrating than anything else. The views are still stunning, but the road is incredibly slow and congested. Better to crisscross over and around it. Beautiful region.
Like Andy said , the B500 itself is a bit of a disappointment, a beautiful road but busy and heavily regulated, no problem though as the general area is brilliant.
Great bike (but seat too high for me!), great entertaining video, excellent editing. Not enjoyed a motorcycle trip video like this for ages. Well done! Ride safe, mate.
It’s not a small steed! Even with my 6‘4“ I’m still on the fence as to whether or not i need the higher seat! Thanks very much for coming along mate! 🙏🏻
I've missed something, did something happen to the KTM (crash?), and the appearance of the Aprilia Toureg (I did see the Scottoiler vid) but nothing clicked lol
Set up an ebay search in every market that you can. Trawl the used vehicle websites. Call all the breakers yards you‘re possibly able to. Ultimately explore the possibility of an aftermarket unit. Lots of custom builds have completely replaced controls. Motogadget, Koso and Paaschburg & Wunderlich are three manufacturers that immediately spring to mind.
@@AndyManCam I am running it as a rat rod now. The automatic transmission is in limp mode, so I can only go about 80 kph. It's upsetting to me that Aprilia just stopped making the part at 10 years. Doean't make me want to run out and buy another Aprilia.
@@stephenmcqueen4029 The Mana is very specific, because the computer in the console controls the transmission, otherwise I could use one from a shiver. .
Haha! It definitely seemed like it at times!! If it makes you feel better, it was originally 21 HOURS of video! Lovingly boiled down to these tasty 36 minutes! 🫠
Hi just because you had a bad experience in a gate hole with your trusty yamaha in the Yorkshire Dale's doesn't mean it would happen on your aprillia and you've missed out on some of the best biking roads in the England and you already had the Yorkshire accent bossed 😂
I know, i know! I need to get over the fears and climb back on the Yorkshire horse! 😅 The peaks were sadly just so much closer to the west mids base! Next time!
The roads are just shocking in the UK now. All major motorways seem to be full of 50 mph limits, too many cars and all the A and B roads are full of pot holes. Travelling g anywhere in the UK is no fun at all now
Cool Aprilia motorcycle. Our company has a wireless portable motorcycle audio with HD dual cameras. Looking forward to cooperating with you. How can I contact you?
I’ve missed this stuff. I got unsubscribed and my brain went soft. Cheers dude. My daughter still wears your shirt, much to the envy of her x-country teammates who exclaim….Andy who? Ha. 👍🤪🏳️🌈
Three places I definitely avoid Aberystwyth snake pass cat and fiddle although as you said getting there is the best part of the ride, good to see Ian again
This England. Really enjoy you murdering so many regional accents Andy. Kind of lingo orienteering for non natives. Though I do think Snake Pass is matched by Woodhouse Pass. Surprised you didn't get up in the glorious countryside of Yorkshire and I'm saying that as a Lancastrian. Maybe you've done that already.
Our beautiful England. Full of beauty and beautifully full! I think I’ve seen woefully little of the UK to be honest Mark. And much of what i have seen, was random explorations where i had no idea the names of the places i saw! Hopefully I’ll get to visit more with freshly opened eyes.
@@AndyManCam i had to take the missus to the south last year. Just visiting family gets a bit repetitive even if the live in the real "Happy Valley". I found it a bit like walking onto the set of a mediocre murder mystery. A cliché but a really pretty one that is so nice. As long as you can get used to the crowds (NB I live in deserted Sweden).
Me neither mate. The same with idiots that won’t let us overtake. 5 seconds of grace and we’re out of their lives forever. But they‘d rather keep us behind and increase the chance of a pile up for everyone!! Small minded people, there are too many of them.

Still on the stock tyres?….Thinking I may go more road focussed with next set for my Tuareg. Not sure I like the STR ‘s on wet tarmac 👍
@Hemlck yes mate, still on the stockers. I think it’s a mental thing, along with a bit of personal taste. In Romania, it rained for several days and once i learned to trust them, i had no trouble with wet tarmac. I’ll be going much more OFF road focused for the next adventure! 😉
*You come across as having a load more fun than you did on either the KTM or the Honda. Good bike buy for you.*
You’re not wrong there Bren. It feels like the bike that i should have had all along. It was made for me!! I thought the others were good, but it was just because i hadn’t discovered this one yet! ( just like all the exes versus the wife! 🤣) Funny how fate can make you wait for perfection eh?!
great vid ANDY 😂
Thank-ee kindly! 🤠
Awesome to see you out on the Toe-Rag... bout time! ;-)
It def likes to cut through the corners on the STR's 🙂
You are getting some great bike audio... is that through magic tricks or secret microphones?
Thanks P! It really was about time! I’ve never thought that I’d happily get another set of OEM tyres. But the STR‘s are very convincing. Audio VVB is all from the DJI wireless mic in the helmet mate. Very very good!!
@AndyManCam ahh nice, the set-up works great
@HippoDrones In Italy recently i also tried out the dual mic setup with the Osmo Action 5. Haven’t listened to it properly yet, but early signs are positive!
@@AndyManCam it's kinda cool you can do a twin mic setup
The headlight is adjusted for right side driving
The headlight is universal with a completely flat cutoff 😝
The bomer command vocals 👌 r back
Abso-bloody-lutely old bean. Pip-pip!
I didn't realise how much I missed R2D2 (Ian) 😁😁
I think we all miss a bit of R2D2 in our lives when he’s not around! 😂
Always a laugh, always a laugh 😅
Cheers mate! Thanks for coming along!
Should have come and said hello Andy. Maybe next time.
Time was very tight sadly mate. We literally had a bite, an ice cream and left!
@@AndyManCam No worries, the ice cream is shit anyway as you found out :D
Certainly did. Anticlimactic!
@@AndyManCam Good excuse to use the A44 and A4120 though... ;) :D
Blythfield reservoir on my doorstep.
And we came flying by twice in two days! Small world eh!
Hi, what rucksack is that Andy? With the camelback
Hi Stephen. It’s a Kriega Trail 9: bit.ly/KriegaT9 highly recommended and i paid for it myself, if that helps! 😜
Doing Germany 🇩🇪 for 10 days going for a look see ,is the D500 worth doing?
Love your style..
Would that be the B500?
The area is DEFINITELY worth visiting. But the B500 is more frustrating than anything else. The views are still stunning, but the road is incredibly slow and congested. Better to crisscross over and around it. Beautiful region.
@@AndyManCam Not to mention all the marked (and unmarked Police cars (with cameras))... :( Stunning views though, but don't go on a weekend!!! :( )
Like Andy said , the B500 itself is a bit of a disappointment, a beautiful road but busy and heavily regulated, no problem though as the general area is brilliant.
Absolutely right. If your OK with slow progress, the views and just being in the black forest is worth it.
Your bike sounds epic, shame it is not an adventure bike. 😂
I know right! Oh it’s definitely an adventure bike! It’s Ian who apparently has a ‚tourer‘. The depths of his denial know no bounds!
Maybe you missed this one?
th-cam.com/video/mX1EiqR5zmI/w-d-xo.html
England excepts, a cracking video 😂
Thanks very much Eddie!
I have a 2009 Aprilia Mana 850. I desperately need a new instrument console, buy I've been told they aren't available. Anyone know what I can do?
That is something i can completely understand. Hopefully there’s a used one out there somewhere with your name on it.
Have you tried one from a Pegaso?
@@stephenmcqueen4029 The Mana is very specific, because the computer in the console controls the transmission, otherwise I could use one from a shiver. .
Well, that’s England done then. I need never leave home again.
Unless you have a burning need for traffic and rain! 🤣
hoek van holland ,my country
Gateway to Europe! 😍
This is not a tour, it’s a race 😂😂😂
Haha! It definitely seemed like it at times!! If it makes you feel better, it was originally 21 HOURS of video! Lovingly boiled down to these tasty 36 minutes! 🫠
@@AndyManCam I did enjoy 😉
That’s all that matters then! Cheers mate!
You may just have swung me towards a 660…….
From my perspective, it’s an easy sell! Let’s see how it goes on the Italian TET in a couple of weeks. 😎
Travelling g anywhere in the UK is no fun at all now
You need to move to Northumberland, biking heaven up here😉
I totally agree. Seems you really need to know the quiet routes to get around it all. OR move up north!
Cool Aprilia motorcycle. Our company has a wireless portable motorcycle audio with HD dual cameras. Looking forward to cooperating with you. How can I contact you?
😎👍
😚🙏🏻
I’ve missed this stuff. I got unsubscribed and my brain went soft. Cheers dude. My daughter still wears your shirt, much to the envy of her x-country teammates who exclaim….Andy who? Ha. 👍🤪🏳️🌈
Well then I'm glad to have you back on the team mate! Your daughter's teammates obviously just aren't connoisseurs of the arts darling! 😜
Three places I definitely avoid Aberystwyth snake pass cat and fiddle although as you said getting there is the best part of the ride, good to see Ian again
Glad I’m not alone in this opinions. Better riding to be had elsewhere it seems. Go where the herd ISN’T!
Agreed on all fronts! :)
I totally understand. It is all a bit like Midsomer Murders! I imagine everything will seem crowded when compared to delightfully tranquil Sweden!
Welsh and polish got something in common? 😎
A love of consonants, unfathomable pronunciation rules, need of a moist mouth… seem similar to me!
Never quite understood why those certain types have such an issue with bikes filtering, let us pass and we're gone.
Me neither mate. The same with idiots that won’t let us overtake. 5 seconds of grace and we’re out of their lives forever. But they‘d rather keep us behind and increase the chance of a pile up for everyone!! Small minded people, there are too many of them.
I was born and bred in Malvern…stop saying it like an American tourist will ya. It’s pronounced more like mulvun.
Every day is a schoolday! I shall update the pronunciation records.
