    It is called a cotter pin and the notch inside the impeller is called a woodruff key, FYI.

    I have just discovered your channel and I like your videos, but basic errors irritate me, It is propeller, not propellor! But other than that keep up the good work.

    great engine i have one on my 1978 tanzer 26 that we sail in shediac nb Canada mine a 2000 8hp high thrust and i do the maintenance all myself ,thanks for all your great videos i makes it so much easier for us low budget guys to do the work ourselves.
    another great video would be how and were to procure parts for these great engines , i also use mostly original Yamaha parts on my engine don't take any chances with aftermarket unless I really have too :)
