Wow. What a life ! While I have lived a life filled with adventures all over the world, it pales in comparison to the amazing people Mr. Lundgren met and interacted with, his adventures. Then again, I'm not a genius which Mr. Lundgren clearly is. (And I agree that luck was also involved.) 🙂
I love Dolph Lundgren. Although he’s extremely intelligent, talented, crazy athletic and has had an awesome past. He’s still absolutely hilarious and down to earth about it all.
Not only did he went to MIT, but he also got a full scholarship , while he already had a master´s degree in chemical engineering from a prestigious university in Sweden and while being a high-level competitive Karate athlete at the time! ( he won a European Karate championship)
I had no idea he was up for Running Man..that would have worked too but Arnold was the better choice. If they dont have Arnold they couldnt have done the "Hey Killian..I'll be back"..."Only in a rerun" line.
Actually Christopher Reeve started to shoot the movie The Running Man with director Andrew Davis who later on did Under Siege and The Fugitive but after about a week or so they got fired and replaced by Arnie and director Paul Michael Glaser.
What are his 9 lines in Rocky 4? Going off memory right now on the spot 6:15am behind my desk at work..: "If he dies he dies", "I will break you", "He's like iron", "I fight for me!!"...4...thats all i can think of.
I really like pentathalon you get to see Dolph in movie with drama, action and suspense. I love the pace of the movie and it's a real underdog comeback story. The chick in it was hot.
@@rvog6584 many of Dolph's movies are available on dvd and blu ray, however some of his best movies never received a dvd release at least not in Australia. Some of these movies are available for free on TH-cam, Pentathalon is one of them. Just search Pentathalon full movie, I'm sure you will enjoy it.
Entertainment industry and movies are such crap, that we look for XX Century entertainment, behind the scenes, making of, and anecdotes of the era which is so much more interesting than anything new. We have a limited time with these actors from the time when Hollywood peaked since they are getting up in age, so we need to get these anecdotes now.
I would have paid money to see Stallone in a real fight with Dolph. One is an actor who fake fights and the other is an accomplished martial artist. Go Dolph.
Sly should have researched Kyokushin karate before he told Dolph "hit me." I'm not surprised he ended up in the hospital. Kyokushin dudes will blast you.
He's not hurting financially, but had he completed his PhD at MIT in chemical engineering and gone on to be CEO of Exxon, his net worth would be far greater than what it is as an actor. But hey, he's happy with his choices and that's all that matters.
Was fascinated that they hired him as an honorary pentathlete to promote that sport, because Pentathlon is definitely one of the five worst movies ever made. Also fascinating that a smart, ambitious, well-reflected guy like him made so many incredibly cheesy, stupid movies.
I only know of grace jones from she and Devo advertising for the 1984 Honda elite motor scooter of which I’m proud to say I actually bought one from money saved up from a summer job in 1984
Considering Dolph was as good as a lot of the action guys out there, Norris, Segal, Van Damme he should had at least one big thing we all know and love. They never gave him his own Cobra, or Predator or whatever. He did fight that alien guy that lives of your fear, but they never really used him right. Like why wasn't he one of the guys in Predator ? I'm guessing he was too blonde and too good looking to put next to Arnold. He would look like a god next to those guys I'm afraid.
let me guess, after the intro, Rich is going to say "That is our production value" like he has never said it and thinks it's funny every time he says it
Some people just have it all - the brains, the looks, the work ethic, and the luck to be at the right spot at the right time. What a life he has had.
Ja!!❤❤❤❤Love it!!❤ROCKY MOWIES MEMORIES!!
.
This guy is a hero. Love this dude. Go Dolph!
Such a great interview. Always was a fan of Dolph. Original Punisher, and HeMan. Underrated gem!
One of the best true or false segments the shows had.
Not even close. Dolph isn't exactly a barrel of laughs...in fact, I'd say this is one of the worst I've watched.
@@keefriff99 What do you want him to act like a clown? He's got a typical dry Scandinavian humour. His Roger Moore impression was gold.
He’s had an incredible Forrest Gump-level life and he’s so damn humble about it all.
hes being swedish about it
Dolph nailing the impressions is gold.
That was fun. It was great to see Dolph in his natural state rather than acting onscreen.
I love Dolph interviews, such an interesting & funny Renaissance man
“Dolph is larger than Denmark”
Dolph Lundgren was in the first The Punisher movie! Great movie!
What a character. That was one of the most enjoyable interviews I've seen in a long time.
I love Dolph Lundgren. Although he’s extremely intelligent, talented, crazy athletic and has had an awesome past. He’s still absolutely hilarious and down to earth about it all.
A movie about his real life would be amazing
Think he has published an autobio? Regardless, yes sum1 needs 2 piece 2getha a screenplay!!
Who would they get to play him? That would be the most difficult part, finding someone his size that can act.
@@marcd1981 flame away but I recently saw on an online list of lookalikes -- Gronk. (!!)
Loved Dolph's laugh at "You can't handle the truth." 😂 Overall he's always seemed genuine despite his status.
Just watched A View to a Kill again the other day. I always focus on Dolph during that scene, haha
Great interview
I had no idea. Dolph is THE MAN!
My favorite actor has a child and adult! He was the best He-Man in 1987
I never would’ve guessed that Dolphin Lundgren went to MIT 🤯
People are always shocked but he's a genius, just about!
He’s basically the Arnold Schwarzenegger character from TWINS.
Dolph* (has absolutely nothing to do with aquatic mammals)
Yep Dolph was a serious academic science nerd, pretty well known
Not only did he went to MIT, but he also got a full scholarship , while he already had a master´s degree in chemical engineering from a prestigious university in Sweden and while being a high-level competitive Karate athlete at the time! ( he won a European Karate championship)
The more I learn about this guy, the more I like him. I grew up thinking he was the “Soviet bad guy” from Rocky IV. There’s so much more to him.
Amazing interview!!!!
Love this. Such a good interview.
I Must Break These Questions
One of great action hero! Tengri blessing!👍👍🇰🇿🇰🇿🇰🇿
STILL. In amazing shape..
The opening 5 minutes of his movie Don't Kill It freaking traumatized me.
May be the best one yet. He's a great interview.
I love that one of the largest action stars in history of the world wears.... new balance shoes.....
good to see Dolph
It’s really hard to tell English isn’t his language. Pretty amazing
Hope he’s keeping well big Dolph 💪🏼💙

I never heard that before either. I dont think that would have worked as well as Dolph or Arnold. I cant see him in that role. @@bisseborjesson9533
"That's our production value" every goddam time Rich. We get it bro

You will lose
He said you’re dead to rocky
Damn interesting interview.
Excellent interview!
Lov your interviews

Is it streaming sumwhere?

Smart dude
You really are an example .....he never gives up🥋🥊🫂🤙👏💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪✌️
Love this guy!
Literally brilliant
Luck is important to high acclaim. Even if you're bigger than Denmark (or Sweden).
The director's cut of Rocky 4 add a little more depth to his character.
Just hope Dolph's health is good...
Dolph seems like a great guy to share a taxi with!
It's like halfway through a morph from Clint Eastwood to Mads Mikaelsson.
My youth hero
I loved him in "Crime Stinks: The Smell of Penetration".
He was amazing in Thunder Gun
If he dies, he dies! I still get goosebumps from that line🤣.
Great guy!

I had no idea DL has led such an amazing life 😮
That roger moore was accurate 😂👌
Cool guest
Ah that was fun. Ended too early, gutted when it did, I wanted more.
How interesting is this guy?!
They wanted Drago to be like a real life Jason Voorhees.....big, tall. lumbering and didn't speak (much).
GOOD ACTOR. I LIKE THE ORIGINAL " THE PUNISHER'', UNIVERSAL SOLDIER, THE HE-MAN MOVIE ... UHHHH, ROCKY 4.
Love these 😂😂😂
Respect to the guy with the jay briscoe T-shirt
that was cool!
I would have paid money to see Stallone in a real fight with Dolph. One is an actor who fake fights and the other is an accomplished martial artist. Go Dolph.
Sly asked him to punch him for real.
That one punch put Sly in the hospital.
My Legend keep punching Dolph Lundgren
This guy's story is like Forest Gump.
Thunder Gun
NO MAN LEFT BEHIND!
I love Rich Eision
How does 6’ 5” Dolph look eye level with Rich? Ha jeez most talk show hosts do this
Their desk is always elevated. Rob reiner was on letterman once & they superimposed lines on the screen showing Daves hed several inches above robs. 😊
Amazing man still cool 😅
this series should be called, "True." Every one I've seen, 100%, '...that's true."
Sly should have researched Kyokushin karate before he told Dolph "hit me." I'm not surprised he ended up in the hospital. Kyokushin dudes will blast you.
Kind of glossed over the bit that Dolf was at MIT to do a PhD in Chemical Engineering. 😮

He played a villain in Universal Soldier
Man found success by simply working hard and being himself. He didn’t even drink
He-man!
Sop looking at yourself Dolph! You look great mate, do the interview.
You got dolf yes play it in Rocky
Grace Jones, that must have been an interesting relationship lol
I only know of grace jones from she and Devo advertising for the 1984 Honda elite motor scooter of which I’m proud to say I actually bought one from money saved up from a summer job in 1984
Lowkey...his impressions are pretty good.😅
Most people don't realize that Dolph Lundgren has a high IQ. Some of his roles don't do him justice.
"We sail without him"
FOR ME!!!!!!!!
Drago!!

My father went to the same school as Dolph. I can tell that the cancer is torturing him.
Grace jones was hot and had a lot of good music.
Pull up to the bumper!
She had a lot of good music but never made any. Good music, that is.
Swedish I thought this dude was zerman
Well, his given first name is Hans, but he never was German*, always Swedish.
True or False - Does Rich continually make reference to the "production value!" 🤦🏼♂️
EVERY....SINGLE.....TIME.
I know the answer to where Andy Warhol is from….. Pittsburgh! My home
Damn.
I’d have asked him how many languages he speaks. I’ve read it’s five or six.
What happened to his voice ???
The production value joke never gets old. Oh wait, yes it does.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😂
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😅😅😅😅😅😅
let me guess, after the intro, Rich is going to say "That is our production value" like he has never said it and thinks it's funny every time he says it
Yep. It's gotten old, boring and repetitive.
Yeah, it's played out. I think he does it to diffuse criticism or someone else thinking, "Wow, that's pretty cheap."
Interesting, Weird guest in 2024. Crazy early 80’s life. Especially dating Grace Jones. What a trip
