You are really a hero taking the 11 hour overnight train from Nong Khai to Bangkok, in a THIRD CLASS CARRIAGE !!! That must have been a very hard and tiring journey !! The least I would take is the 2nd Class sleeper train, but, of course that costs a lot more than $8 🤣🤣 Very good and interesting video, by the way ! 👍👍
In hindsight, it may have been better (and a lot less tiring !😂) for you to have taken the DAY train from Nong Khai to Bangkok. With this option you would have views of the countryside and towns during the journey and you could have bought food and snacks while on the train to sustain you for the 11 hour journey. And when you arrive in Bangkok in the evening, you could go straight to your hostel / guest House and rest, going to bed at normal time for a full night's sleep !! Good luck for the rest of your travels ! 👍👍
@@natnomad Agreed ! I wouldn't mind taking the DAY train from Nong Khai or Chiang Mai to Bangkok, in Third Class, but I would definitely opt for a sleeper compartment on the night train !
@@natnomadI’m so sorry. The msg was for someone on another utube video. But thank you so much for the reply. Enjoy your travels and I’m looking at travelling to Laos. May request you for tips. Safe journey and stay safe 🙏🙏🙏
Hello! I’m planning a trip from Vientiane (Laos) to Bangkok (Thailand) via train and would like to know if it’s feasible. My itinerary is as follows, Vientiane train station - Nong Khai Train station 1825 - 1855 [45 mins stopover] Nong Khai Train station - Khrup Thep Aphiwat central station 1940 - 0550 My concern is if 45 mins stopover at Nong Khai train station sufficient for immigration and boarding? Also, are trains leaving Laos reliably on time? Cheers!
Interesting trip, thank you for sharing
My pleasure 😊
What a journey! I hope you got some good sleep after that. Thanks for sharing.
I had the best sleep of my life that day. It was all I needed🙂
The bus station in Vientienne, still looks the same. Thank you for the memories.
Not much has changed.

I've always gone for the cheaper if not the cheapest, haha. The sleeping cabin would be much for comfortable for such a long journey
@@natnomad Indeed ! 👍👍🤣🤣

I've thought about it, but for some reason, I decided to take the night, which is not the best option lol

That's plenty of time. Actually you have more than one hour stopover. So you'll be fine.
624km for 11 hours
