Brings back memories of riding my 1989 TZR250 to work and back. Lots of fun with 50hp. Those days are gone forever. This 125 sounds great. I miss those noises.
There is no better feeling than a road racing 2 stroke ridden in anger. I enjoy my RGV250’s so much. There is no more adrenaline rush than ripping it up on a 2 stroke road racer👍🏼⭐️⭐️🇺🇸⭐️⭐️
At around 44bhp and 140mph from a Factory Race 125 like this back in the day was quite incredible, the cornering speed was probably more impressive though 👍
The technology on bikes really was something amazing from the mid 80s to late 90s . I loved my 2 stroke dirt bikes . I wasn't able to get a street bike because I would have had to move out of my parents house . When I did move out I had lost the itch .
I've ridden owned meny small 2 stroke bikes. Tzr, rgv, kr1 and kr1s and the great TDR. All 250s. The thing is I owned a DTR 125 in 89 to 90. Fully deristriced it was just as much fun as the 250s! Thrash it every were and still keep your licence. 125 2 strokes were fantastic fun! Those days are gone forever...
I’ve seen those 125’s racing at Phillip Island , South Australia. Dude they are fast !!!’ I couldn’t believe the speed through turn 1 , 250kph no worries
1998 Yamaha tz125 factory road, racer Thank you Billy and Ken for the absolute amazing! Monday what an absolute animal of a motorcycle Jack Weaver's collection is amazing. @@6AlphaMikeCharlie9 what's my knobbing when you see a motorcycle like that and Ken Kaplan melts my brain. I mean I've seen a lot of sick bikes from him
late 80s Australia Phillip Island racetrack ,an American LEGEND was last place in the 500 two stroke world champonship riding a Cagiva due to mechanical issues ,he came in a lap behind and jumped on the spare bike and wholeheartedly entertained the 80 plus thousand in attendance by wheelstanding the straights at over 220 kmh ,smoking the rear tyre in near every left /right turn leaving huge licorice tracks ,he knew he was way behind but he made sure we all left having been sure we got our moneys worth ,say hello to Randy Mamola
Bill been getting some sneaky practice in on that gas gas txt how to do expert splat or double blip up that back wall and wheelie up through trees then turn round and give us expert thumb up 👍👍
180 Lbs! 😲😲....Holy shit that is light. Gorgeous Bike. Uncle Moses said it's Thunder, and Billy "The Professor" rang it's neck. God, I would love to ride one of these! Damn fast for 2 stroke 125cc. I saw a video of Billy riding his Yamaha Factory 2 stroke 750cc bike in Laudun, Massachusetts on your channel. That Bike is Scary Fast. Please tell Billy I said hello. Enjoy your night, brother.

They made a TZ 250 also. A friend raced and tracked one a few years ago. Could run that hard in the corners for sure.
Wow that is cool ! Fantastic stories attatched to it too I'm too big to ride it but having that for a display bike would be incredible
It’s a real head turner!
It looks amazing in the video I can only imagine what it's like in real life with the sun shining on it !! 😊@KaplanCycles

Sweet ride. You can hear that bike a mile away.😀
Look at how low and aggressively angled those clip-ons are. Holy cow... Your hands are basically level with your knees on this thing. Bonkers!
I loved my 93 when I was a young lad,it felt like a bigger bike after having a handful of the previous model.Cool little bikes 👍🏻
It’s all about entry speed
Qué maravilla de sonido es de los dos tiempos, una barbaridad para mis oídos eso es y le llamo música celestial ❤

I wish they would make bikes like this for the street today. My 87 RZ is cool, but the aluminum frames on these bikes is trick.

Selling the tzr250 if ken is interested
McLaren P1 ≈ 606hp/tonne, the TZR125 is 634hp/tonne. That should provide some perspective to what sort of bike this is.

Just different gearing I’d assume
@@skylermummert24correct changes in gearing, and changes to covers and power valve systems for torque curve for specific use case purpouse.
At 195 pounds, I would slow this bike waaaaaaaaaay down.
