Welcome to the world of Gojira brother. Enjoy. Prepare yourself... and dive in deeply. They are an incredible group... full of beautiful, aware, disturbing lyrics.
This is a great song, but a bit of an advanced Gojira experience in my opinion. Something you should listen to while you have been on this path for a bit. Someone was going for "Drummer Shock Value" here. I enjoy your enthusiasm and acceptance! Cool channel man.
For your information, the wooden percussion instrument at the beginning is a txalaparta, typical from the South West of France, and there's also a bit of the metal fire-exit door, because of course, Mario. The rest is Mongolian flute, and 3 layers of Joe doing Mongolian singing, because, of course, Joe. The Gojs are special, even for French musicians...
don't worry about not understanding the intro, it's a complex pattern but pretty fun IIII IIII IIII II II II IIII IIII IIII II II that's the pattern but it's the kick and the snare the rest of the song pretty fun to play too
In te intro he hits the metal ring of the snare that sounds like that "clack" and some other randombpost production percussion elements and filters, such as hiting a piece of metal or bamboo sticks, when te guitar enters hturn te 444 222 444 22 into a kick snare pattern pretty more inteicate with some fills, pretty crazy XD.
Yesssss!!! Please do more Gojira. You can pick any of these: Flying Whales, Oroborus, Silvera, The gift of guilt...And if you want something not as heavy but ultimate out of body experience, go for "Gojira at Red Rocks - PRAY (extended version) LIVE".
Hey man! Good to see you on a metal journey! If you are open to suggestions for serious drummage, Meshuggah. Started in the late 80s, often imitated, never replicated. If you can, watch any of the drum cam videos available. Pretty well any will not disappoint. Bleed, Clockworks, Break the bones whose sinews gave it motion, I, Rational gaze... All very stellar, and experiments in sound pioneering as well as syncopation.
Definitely The heaviest Matter of the universe..i dont think he is ready yet! Maybe he should start with silvera next a live version to blow his load...lol!
If you like drums and metal, you can't help but listen to Gojira: they are the best group of their kind and one of the greatest of the most recent metal groups. Mario Duplantier is the best young metal drummer; his power and speed can be heard in Gojira's songs, but he also has a phenomenal technique that you can't hear in their songs. If you watch videos featuring only Mario, such as the drum clinics, tutorials or solos he publishes, you will immediately realize how monstrous he is. And I'm telling you this I'm not a Gojira fan, mine is a neutral opinion.
Wow, this is your first time hearing Gojira? I envy you man. I write with sincerity, from all their 6 albums there isn't a single song i don't like. Fantastic musicians, simply outstanding, live too. Great reaction, man! I can tell you KNOW music. Like and subscribe :)
If you want to see some nice drumming I highly suggest Trey williams from Dying Fetus, the song 'Homicidal Retribution' has a nice drum cam video. Keep em coming!
Mario Duplantier is the drummer. He is arguably one of the best drummers alive. Seriously. It's hard to compete with This bands' catalog. Edit: If you want some serious drumming, try "The heaviest matter of the universe".
Breathing slowly, mechanical heartbeat Losing contact with the living Almighty TV plugged, hybrid empty brain Don't see anything real in the game The tension is building constantly No reason just a reflex I have, driven by clockwork I try to keep an eye open And I realize I haven't closed my eyes in a long time Neglected emotions leading to catastrophic voyage on the other side I have been given so much stress and lack of confidence I've been given the gift of so small hope deep inside I haven't close my eyes in a long time, I am trying I cannot stomach these forms and colors anymore But I'm here to continue, after all I have been through I try to keep my eyes open, I am realizing This life and death more precious than anything I won't bring no material in the after life Take no possessions, I would rather travel light I'm of this kind that kills all day But I don't know yet how to die Art of dying is the way to let all go Within I practice, in the secret of my soul My shape in the reflector has Now for ever, a life on it's own PS : i recommand also Death Of Me and Oroborus
everyone will recomend the usual gojira songs but no one ever seems to recomend where dragons dwell that song is 1 of my fave out of their full discography.
Réaction très cool, i liked it. Mario is the best metal drummer in the world and Gojira are out of this world. I recommend :The gift of guilt live at brixton a academy Flying whales live at brixton Academy The heaviest matter of the universe live at Vieilles Charrues The art of dying live Pray live at Red Rocks Oroborus live aux Eurockéennes Backbone live vieilles charrues 2010 L'enfant sauvage, explosia, Born in winter Silvera, stranded, the cell, the shooting star, low lands, Global warming live at the silver cord studio

You should do Flying Whales or The Heaviest Matter of the Universe next. Or if you want more modern Gojira do Silvera

Drummer is Mario Duplantier he's the bro of the singer.
I thought you would dig Gojira 🤘The drummer is 'Mario Duplantier' he is younger brother of Joe the lead singer and 'rhythm guitar' player
Definitely The heaviest Matter of the universe..i dont think he is ready yet! Maybe he should start with silvera next a live version to blow his load...lol!
Welcome to the world of Gojira bro. One of the best bands out there.
Gojira songs aren't based on guitars riffs, but on Mario's drums :)
I suggest Where The Dragons Dwell ;)
As a Megadeth fan, I can say Mario is fuccin great. I enjoy drum a lot when I listen to Gojira 🤘🏼 and the last riff, maan is just epic
So can you only be a fan of one band? lol
Gojira is Awesome.!! 🤘🏼🤘🏼

He is good but he isn't on the Matt Garstka level
@@Faux_Fox I'm not familiar, but I'm damn interested. Who is he and what band?
@@DowntunedDevil He's the drummer for Animals as Leaders. I wish I could be even a fifth as good as Mario or Matt :P
th-cam.com/video/0bRQOgRY5Bk/w-d-xo.html this is a good example of his skill
@@Faux_Fox I've heard of the guitarist, tobin abasi, but never gave them a listen. I'll check them out. Thanks much
Bro you gotta connect with this band the whole discography check out Remembrance next plz
Drums are awesome.
Gojira is straight fire! - you will love them
also, you are really cute :)
Love from Norway
Power Trip - Divine Apprehension
Power Trip - Hornet’s Nest
Power Trip - Crucifixation
Breathing slowly, mechanical heartbeat
Losing contact with the living
Almighty TV plugged, hybrid empty brain
Don't see anything real in the game
The tension is building constantly
No reason just a reflex I have, driven by clockwork
I try to keep an eye open
And I realize I haven't closed my eyes in a long time
Neglected emotions leading to catastrophic voyage on the other side
I have been given so much stress and lack of confidence
I've been given the gift of so small hope deep inside
I haven't close my eyes in a long time, I am trying
I cannot stomach these forms and colors anymore
But I'm here to continue, after all I have been through
I try to keep my eyes open, I am realizing
This life and death more precious than anything
I won't bring no material in the after life
Take no possessions, I would rather travel light
I'm of this kind that kills all day
But I don't know yet how to die
Art of dying is the way to let all go
Within I practice, in the secret of my soul
My shape in the reflector has
Now for ever, a life on it's own
PS : i recommand also Death Of Me and Oroborus

If you wanna see the drummer go hard TRY THE HEAVIEST MATTER OF THE UNIVERSE LIVE!
Gojira- heaviest matter in the universe live.
Sniffing glue. And... Blankets!!
As a drummer you should listen remembrance and the gift of guilt from Gojira.
Réaction très cool, i liked it. Mario is the best metal drummer in the world and Gojira are out of this world. I recommend :The gift of guilt live at brixton a academy
Flying whales live at brixton Academy
The heaviest matter of the universe live at Vieilles Charrues
The art of dying live
Pray live at Red Rocks
Oroborus live aux Eurockéennes
Backbone live vieilles charrues 2010

The Gift of Guilt Live at the Brixton Academy. You'll love it
Waiting for the new video dude.
it's not gojir *AAAA* it's just gojira (great reaction btw, the people complaining about your pausing are wrong)
I think In the forest or Lizard skin from the first album, just to go to the origins
the cell
Please do Angel Of Death by Slayer. It's got some bad ass riffs in it that I know you'll like
Amon Amarth - War of the Gods
Amon Amarth - Free Will Sacrifice
Amon Amarth - Valhall Awaits Me
Mario Duplantier 😍🤘
Go to "guift of guilt " live please
Bro no, you HALF to hear space time. Do it now
That's too much emphasis on the A in Gojira. It's more of a layed back 'uh' sound.
Sup, I'm Journey the Mega
React to death - lack of comprehension
Awesome how youre saying its fire when the song hasnt even kicked in yet :)
Please STOP pausing when you're reacting... it kills the vibe to watch you.. youth!
would you rather he talk over the song and miss everything?
Dimmu borgir, epic drummers.
