Just to be this one guy.. the lyrics are so out of this world dude! The music is so heavy and the lyrics deep, philosophical and spiritual! Joe (vocals) is a very woke person .. haha just had to state it 🤘 (favorite band) 😅

Gojira really has a special place in Metal for sure. Mario is a metronome of a drummer with possibly 5 arms haha. I can recommend the band Rings of Saturn. Their drummer has some serious groove and speed and their riffs make them sound like the soundtrack to an Alien movie. Not to mention the vocals... They state them selfs as the Genre "Aliencore" which is so fitting... Try the song The Husk for a video and you'll see what I mean.
If you want to check out some more French Metal, check out Igorrr - ieud (official music video). It'll blow your mind! (Then check out "Opus Brain" from them after that :P)

Sure these guys know what they are doing, they are good at what they do, im not much into Gojira album wise, but they do know their stuff, and are better live, than in studio, by my opinion, not really my band, but lots of respect for what they do.

I think it’s when the guitars and bass play their lowest note along with the drummer hitting the bass drum. Basically super bass note
