I'm surprised you didn't know that Ultimate Spider-Man was based on a comic book series of the same name, which is set in a more modern and grounded version of Earth where Peter Parker is still in high school as Spider-Man, in a world with superhumans but they are more outwardly flawed and realistic to their situation, such as Captain America being a French-hating patriotic bigot more akin to the soldiers of the WWII era at the time rather than a selfless paragon like in the main comic storyline. The MCU by the way was heavily influenced by the Ultimate Marvel Universe comics themselves, with Samuel L. Jackson's casting being a reference to how Nick Fury in the Ultimate comics was drawn to look like Jackson.

When it comes to wos the wii version could’ve ran pretty good on ps2\psp if the developers tried. Since some of the games that came out on those consoles at the time were the same just had different controls and graphics resolutions
Not always true because Spiderman Friend or Foe came out on PSP and was basically a completely different game to home console. Better skills, different level design, different boss battles, different roster, you could actually die in the PSP version and use Green Goblin's gilder which you couldn't on home console. Surprised he never mentioned it in this video. I guess PSP version of the game was just too obscure for him to find

You should play the delisted Need For Speed pc games. About a year ago I went down a rabbit hole of getting a dubiously acquired copy of NFS Undercover to run after finding out I'm one of 3 people that like it

The Nvidea panel is pretty janky, next time when messing with the settings make sure you have global settings marked with use user input it configurations(or something like that) it's the screen with the spinning nvidea logo Hope that helps for next time
Spiderman 2000.. if im.not mistaken thats the one you unlock different costumes depending on what you did through the gameplay. I ran through that one so much times would love to run through it for old timesake. Edit: You can probably unlock suits in all of them ... smh
I had 2002 and Spider-Man 2 for PC. Loved the heck out of 02, and poured hours into it. My mom got me 2 when it came out, and I was so confused that it wasn't like everything that was advertised. I think I beat it twice, but it was so basic compared to the previous entry, I didn't play it for long. Seeing footage of this heap of garbage actually made me chuckle, because of how ridiculous everything looks and feels. And one last thing: 2002 had some fantastic extra game modes. The cage fight, and the arena mode were so much fun.
no way, i remember using the left trigger for swinging with my left and right for right in spiderman 2 on gamecube, unless ur talking about like literally you go left with one and right with the other like directionally on tasm 2 , or maybe im misremembering but im pretty sure lol
Its actually not true that all versions of Spiderman friend or Foe are the same. The PSP version is a completly different game. You can die on the PSP version unlike the home console version and gameplay is completly different, you can't even use the Gliders for the Goblin's on console but on PSP you can. Different roster too. Carnage was on the PSP and console had characters like Blade. Also the PSP version has different level design and boss battles. You played the worst version of Friend or foe. I owned both 😂
Gun to my head, I'll never play any game on a PC I'm forever a console guy never any problems for me,otherwise most of these spider-man games I've played and enjoyed them maybe I'm a sucker for oldie but goodie maybe I have no taste either way my experience with a few of them and had a good time.
I played the pc version of Spiderman 2 and to be honest i think if nothing else, it's a good introduction to gaming, because of how dumbed down it is and me being a kid at the time (like 7-8 max) and being new to PC as a whole, it was a good game and scratched that spiderman itch (especially because i didn't know about consoles and the little i played on a PS2 at my friend's house I'd already forgotten because it was alao years ago at that point)
Spider-Man shattered dimensions has a obfuscator virus in it strangely and it doesn't get detected unless you do a full scan from windows security so I unfortunately had to get rid of that 1 game
Remembering that Friend or Foe was made by Next Level Games still surprises me (the same studio behind Punch Out Wii and Luigi’s Mansion 2 and 3, whom Nintendo now own). It’d be interesting if they got to make a new Spidey game, but I think Sony are keeping solo Spider-Man adventures exclusive for as long as they can. With Microsoft now having a Blade game in the works I’m curious what Marvel property Nintendo would most likely want as an exclusive.
I was so excited that web of shadows was on ps2, then I played it the first in front of friends and got made fun of, I got the version I played on the 360 later and loved it to death
man if only i found this video a month ago. i wanted to play the amazing spider man since well.. yannow the pirated version has an issue with corrupted saves. if anyone has it and has put it in a download link i would super appreciate it

Spider-Man TAS predates Shattered Dimensions which did the Spider-Verse in the series finale, so technically he isn't wrong in saying that.
Which was itself based on the Spider-Wars arc of the 90's animated series, it's not like Slott is particularly original in his writing anyway.

I don't see Edge of Time here. Is that still available to buy somewhere? But thanks for the awareness to this link. I've wanted to get my hands on Shattered Dimensions for awhile and the others are a nice bonus.
Edge of Time never made it to PC.
@@TBP Wait, really? Wow, I didn't realize that. Wild. Shame too.
12:18 Fullscreen Effects only turns on Depth of Field while freeroam. Other than that, the PC Port lacks motion blur and bloom effects
The Spider-Man 2002 issue is not because of modern windows, but it’s because it’s an anti-piracy measure
My guy thank you for the twitter tip, I thought I was going to have to pay an arm and a leg to play web of shadows again🔥
30:30 well there was Lego Batman games during that gap.
i love you and your videos
I've been wanting to play Shattered Dimensions since the XBox 360 days. Such a shame a hard copy is too expensive in my country
The Nvidea panel is pretty janky, next time when messing with the settings make sure you have global settings marked with use user input it configurations(or something like that) it's the screen with the spinning nvidea logo
Hope that helps for next time
Spiderman 2000.. if im.not mistaken thats the one you unlock different costumes depending on what you did through the gameplay.
I just wanna play web of shadows without paying a ridiculous paywall for a physical copy
Hydrogen bomb Spider-Man 3 on PS3 vs coughing baby TASM2 on XBOX 360
no way, i remember using the left trigger for swinging with my left and right for right in spiderman 2 on gamecube, unless ur talking about like literally you go left with one and right with the other like directionally on tasm 2 , or maybe im misremembering but im pretty sure lol
35:53 The Amazing Spider-Man too bad he didn't mention the save data corrupted or maybe I'm wrong.
By the way, keep sharing to open world games as sandbox, but they’re two different things
Last-gen versions of Spider-Man 3 were decent, somewhat better than flagship version, actually.
I have a nostalgic soft spot for Spider-Man 2 on PC but yeah. it's horrible. For what it's worth, it's fun to laugh at at least.
Sony doesn't own the video game rights to Spiderman and they never have. Disney does
how do u play web of shadows on PC?
What do you mean ? Web of shadows is on pc too if you want to play it now tho you should find a cracked version
I was so excited that web of shadows was on ps2, then I played it the first in front of friends and got made fun of, I got the version I played on the 360 later and loved it to death
Spiderman 3 looks unfinished is very strange, the hud sucks...the PS2 version is better
man if only i found this video a month ago. i wanted to play the amazing spider man since well.. yannow the pirated version has an issue with corrupted saves. if anyone has it and has put it in a download link i would super appreciate it
I have a physical pc version of Spider Man 2002 Maybe the secret to it running well is there ?
do you have an intel or an amd processor? im curious because I cant get the amazing spiderman 1 to stop crashing after you get to the open world.
Ultimate Spider-Man game is based on The Ultimate Spider-Man comics

Na, I have it on the ps3 and it runs flawlessly there too, people having issues is 100% for different reason
The good games shown here are going for ridiculous prices on ebay. I really hate the retro gaming market right now.
i grew up with the activision marvel games, some stinkers and some genuinely good games, sucks u cant play them anymore
I've been watching a lot of your videos, and I can assure you you are, by now, one of my favorite content creators. thank you so much for making game reviews interesting again, mate.
much love from Brazil, keep up the good work! road to 100.000 and one million :)
Brazil mentioned! Woohoo!
And I agree, this channel is becoming one of my favorites as well. Cheers!
Couldn't agree more. I've been watching his stuff since probably 2016 or 2017 when he had another channel. He's fun, informative, and fills a spot that feels both nostalgically comfortable while also doing stuff I didn't expect
The PS2 version of Spiderman 3 was way better
The PS3 version was dog shit
8:12 my childhood ❤
It was great for me and all my friends
22:31 can’t hear him without thinking of ratchet
why did spiderman 2 pc look worse than the console version😭
Is it sad that I own every single one of these games physically?
38:25 You are actually so real for that.
