@@JonJonTheWise Yeah Jay Parker *\(RTG was running the game. I played a one of the of the characters the year before. We had to fight off a splinter gang of the boozos. Was epic. Jay made the rocker sing at various times through out the game.

First edition Shadowrun has an introductory scenario called "Food Fight'. The PCs visit a 24 hour convenience store moments before a small street gang tries to rob the place. I have run the scenario dozens of times, even in other systems. It was reprinted and revised for 3rd and 4th edition. Highly recommend, the players always have a blast.
I have never played an RPG... I loved this talk.

I'm finally about to try to run a cyberpunk game using the Red Edition. My initial intro to the cyberpunk genre was reading the fiction in my uncle's copy Shadowrun 3e when I was a teenager in 2009. I chose Cyberpunk instead of Shadowrun because I prefer the Cyberpunk mechanics.
For anyone who was curious, the Hot Wheels-like toys that Seth talks about are called "Battle Machines" by the Jada Toys company.

I actually picked up the Traveller books a little while back. Messing around with the system in Foundry for it currently but haven't played yet. I made a few characters so far, and he's not wrong, it is such an organic, fun experience.
These interviews are really cool to watch! I've probably rewatched them twice now
If you're comfortable lying to the real estate to make the whole thing less embarrassing/awkward you could always claim that you have a friend whose name is actually Scott Brown (who lives out of state for story convenience) and it's his birthday soon and you're going to visit him and you'd love to buy a bunch of their merch as a gift for him.
Just started learning about how to run Cyberpunk and this popped up. Seth is one of my all-time favorite artists! Not sure if you will see this but I would love to see more Cyberpunk system neutral information to help with my Cypher campaign :)

Towards the end of your conversation, you discuss armor in cyberpunk. I would like to point out that you have to purchase the head armor separately. Unfortunately, they didn't really name it in a way that distinguishes it properly- you end up with light armor jack body and light armor jack head, but they are two separate pieces of armor. I would fluff the head armor as a helmet or kevlar mask or something.

I'm new to rpgs generally, ive played some Dnd and am currently planning on GMing Cyberpunk Red. During the warehouse fight section of the video you mention the concept of group rolls. Could you elaborate a little for my edification? Thanks a lot!
Welcome to the hobby choom! By group rolls I mean: I roll one skill check for multiple NPCs instead of rolling for each individually
@@JonJonTheWise OK, yes that makes sense. I have a specific question that's completely unrelated, and that is about monthly payments like trauma team coverage and apartment rent. How is the passage of time measured? Would I deduct the proper amount of eddies from my pc's once a session, or completely at my discretion as I, the GM, can decide the passage of time between sessions and could even use those payments as a "squeeze" to make my players more desperate for gigs and whatnot? Thanks again.

Copplestone (with 2 p's) castings not cobblestone. It's Mark Copplestone's company, he made those sculpts for Grenadier (and also did some stuff for GW back in the day). He's updated a few of the sculpts (minor differences. The rock band set is now more 90s grunge than 80s Ramones inspired for example).
